Dude thankyou so much for this! I thought my adapter went bad but just need to be relearned. That fixed my volume controls! I was about to spend a $100 for a new one to. You tha man!
Thank you soooo much for this video. Ordered one of these kits for an aftermarket headunit for my 07 Grand Cherokee without nav, but with the Boston Premium sound speakers and amp. This video has explained SOOOOO MUCH and I feel much more confident about doing the install myself. I appreciate you going into detail about this harness. It's as close to getting the job done by you directly. If I have any issues, I'll see if I can reach out with questions!
This is such a timely video! Just got mine from Crutchfield to hook up to my Kenwood DMX47S in my 2013 Dodge Avenger. Had so many issues with an old Metra WM-CH13-SWC that stopped working as soon as I updated it via USB and no connection on an Axxess ASWC-1 after trying to salvage some of the Metra connection. Time to start from scratch, so to speak.

Hello I have a 2011 dodge Durango and I got a alpine halo9 and was wondering if this would work on my Durango since I got factory amp and steering wheel control
Great info.. answered many questions. I work in a salvage yard and got a Kenwood with a pac and it came out of a gm pick up and I put it in my sons yukon amd I'm having all sorts of issues. I think it's because my sons vehicle has the amplifier. Only sound coming from the front. And I'm getting a buzzing sound. I pulled a wore schematic and im probably tied into the signal wores and not the actual speaker wire if that makes sense.. my sin is looking at me like wtf I need my tunes dad..😂 I'm trying. Any link to the other installation video regarding the factory Amp install?
Thanks for the video. I had my aftermarket stereo installed to my 10 Dodge Charger without the PAC harness. Everything works fine (installed 8 years ago) but my OBD has been showing a U0184 code. Would this harness remove that code?
Awesome video. I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot Limited with the extra speakers in the tailgate. I am going from uconnect rhb w/sirius to Amazon JOY-A019 w/dash camera front and rear. Please, advise😢
Should there be a red light on the pac interface device? While hooking my radio up, I spliced the remote wire into the ignition wire and when I pushed the radio back in, the radio seems to have lost power. I’m wondering if the red light on the pack harness is indicating a power surge or just that power is going it it. 2013 town and country. Also I should add that, it’s a kenwood ddx373bt and it’s a red blinking triangle light that keeps flashing. The radio powers on fine when I connected it to an external power source.
This is a common issue, called the company support number and they told me to toss it in the trash and buy another one. For a device that cost me $150, that's some bullshit. It's been a little over a year. Apparently many of the earlier models were defective.
Trying to hook up a dual aftermarket. My 2013 Jetta had a JVC aftermarket that worked. I cut the wire that connected to the JVC and rewired the connector for the Dual. But no power. No LED to the RP4-VW11, any help?
I need some input on this have it in a 2013 jeep wrangler with a factory amp rear is not working and front are working opposite front left is front right front right is front left could you help me where it went wrong
No clue where to hook up the blue with yellow for my Kenwood. 2015 wrangler with SWC, the blue box is recognizing the signal but nothing for blue w/yellow wire
Red wire doesn't put 12v when key is on.. just learned the hard way. Reverse camera wouldn't trigger on when connected to the red. Did some digging and canbus uses red for data to vehicle computer not 12v
Got cheap double din radio with rearview camera radio off Amazon. Trying to hook up rp4-ch11 interface, can't figure out radio setting for radio select switch. Key wire- brown, Amplifier wiring blu-white . Both Blu are connected antenna wire.? Is plugging in interface enough if I don't have steering controls, and can't find setting for radio setting to put at on interface

Need help if i hook the blue/white amp wire from rp4-ch11 harness to aftermarket radio amp wire I still get no sound. Or could it be the amp is not working
@trippingwiththedrews3850 said thing is if I slice into two wires from the factory harness I get sound to any other small speaker I hook up. I was trying to save myself from wiring a whole new setup
@@ramonwilliams6585 I ended up hard wiring to the speaker output from the aftermarket head unit to factory amp output plug. I could get the Stinger CH11 to work. Then after that even the Amfm antenna doesn’t work. Most likely powered by the same system somehow.
On an Alpine wire harness the yellow with the blue strip is supposed to go to your parking brake wire. It’s a safety feature to prevent certain functions unless you have the vehicle in park. Some people bypass this by grounding it for example if the radio is installed in a boat. Grounding this wire in a vehicle is never done by professionals because of liability and your safety . If your installing in a vehicle you will need to figure out where your parking brake wire is and use a special connector to tap into your brake wire Like a posi-tap connector
So where's the troubleshooting part?? Mine is not working, and the LED just blinks constantly without changing. The stereo does not come on at all, and there is a parasitic draw from this.
@kenlreid Appreciate it. I'll update you on my install once I get past wire phobia 🤪. I'm slightly stumped on SWC and Maintaining factory rear view cam. Until I dig into the install. 👍
