Great video. I upgraded from the a6600 and I think a used a6600 is better bang for buck if you're looking to buy either one of these. Particularly if you only need 4k24p. And I'm not sure if it's worth the upgrade from the a6600 though. I like new and shiny things so I bought it and there are some great upgrades, but did I *need* to upgrade? Probably not. Additional note on overheating. The a6600 is MUCH better when you need to do 4K streaming or long form recording with a monitor hooked up via HDMI. I've gone for a few hours streaming with it, but on the a6700 it shuts down after about 1 hour of USB C streaming. It will also overheat after 1hr when long form recording at 4k24p with monitor attached. A small fan blowing on the a6700 helps a lot and Ulanzi has a fan attachment coming out soon.
I'll still choose the a6600 for stability on that overheating thing alone. Plus the a6600 is the top of that sensor line, all bugs fixed and perfected. I love this camera cause I'm a hybrid shooter and I need to film myself as music content and have to trust the camera to keep rolling to about 2h30 straight without any issues eland noone baby sitting the camera. The a6700 is cool, but I'll wait for the future models for these sensors, or better yet, get a fx30 and my a6600 would keep going as a B camera. Hell, I might get a used zve10 for a future 3 camera setup fixed, or 2 fixed and one handheld.
I bought an open box a6600 for the price of a new a6400. I wanted to compare the a6600 to the a6700 just to see what features I'm missing in comparison to their prices. I think I'm pretty happy with my decision. I'm getting a lot of camera for $750 instead of paying $1400 USD.
