I never though I watch entire video just 80% footage of hands, cameras and desk. You really give value for us who were confused about alpha line up. Gracias.
Really excellent companion video. You covered it all. 7yrs later, the A6000 is still a remarkable camera and I love using mine, but you have given me serious desire to consider the A6400. Thanks for doing this video.
I think it’s all about what features you need. When it comes to picture quality they are very similar, apart from the colours which can be edited. Personally I would be fine with the a6000 or even an a5100, but the overheating, recording limit, and lack of flip-up screen makes recording guitar videos really inconvenient for mye use. The 6100 seems to be the apporipriate camera for me. The 6600 i think is overpriced, as one could get a used A7iii for less than that.
@@kristiangurholt59 "When it comes to picture quality they are very similar", in a broad daylight - yes they are similar, but when it comes to shooting in low light, you get that ugly green tint in shadows on a6000, and that is the manufacturer's fault which they fixed starting from a6300.
I felt obligated to say thank you for this priceless and information packed video. Im a beginner and felt so lost choosing my first 2nd hand camera. I haven't decided which one suit my needs yet, but your video puts me in the right direction for sure.
Got A6300 + SEL 16-50mm + SEL 55-210mm for €930 on Amazon DE in August 2019. Wanted to stay below 1,000€ but the A6400 Was way more expensive back then. I'm not going to upgrade despite A6300 is four years old. It works fine for me.
Would like to express thanks and compliments for your outstanding detailed and well researched Sony reviews. Current pricing is $800 for a6500, $900 for a6400, and $1200 for a6600. As you mention, these cameras have exceptional build quality and usually last for many years trouble free. So we can ignore a $100 price difference which would be an insignificant $20 per year costed out over 5 years of use. I chose the a6500 for IBIS and better body with larger grip and upgraded buttons/controls. If I were shooting professional video in the studio, I would have gone for the a6400, which is a better video camera. For video blogging and street video, I would bite the bullet and get the a6600 with everything including double battery life and IBIS. One comment about IBIS - is does make a considerable difference in hand held video by eliminating the small jitter effect; the IBIS models produce smoother more natural hand held video compared to the other models. Thanks again for your awesome video channel!
I have an a6400 since June 2020 and man i use it as my main cam for all my client works including weddings, vlogs, music videos, and this is in every way reliable and amazing. Great video tho! Watched every second of it!
Any of these cameras would be fine for that type of photography. Youd likely need a macro lens for up close shots of smaller rings. Sony 90mm Macro is a great one.
I recently bought a6000 on black Friday sales. It's still a great camera and it will be relevant even in 2020. Excellent image quality. If you have experience in photography, let's say with smartphone, but want to get a real camera with interchangeable lenses, go for a6000 and don't think twice.
I did the same thing. For a first camera, i dont justify the need to spend more. Also, i find the kit lens great to start with and learn. At least, me and my wife are totally blown by the image quality which already have that professional look(only with a month of use) and thats the only thing that matters. Happy shooting!
I got my a6000 about 2 years ago for £500, loved it, I have some of the most amazing pictures I've ever taken with that, I see now it's lowered to less than £270 I think, for body only, that's pretty amazing for what it's capable of. But after these years I definitely see room to upgrade, which is why now I'm jumping to the a6600, it's great that I still get to keep my range of lens for it.
A6000 will always be a good camera untill the 8k resolution cameras go cheaper than 5000 euros 😂, but still I'm never gonna change from a6000, all you need is the sigma trio lenses to be happy, I'm in love with the 16mm one. Most importantly, how good is the photo captured is depending on the user
What a great, comprehensive explanation of the models. Just when I was about to pull the trigger on a A6000, now I’m thinking again. I don’t need the features of the more expensive models but i feel I might as well ‘future proof’ myself a bit. However, budget is budget. Thanks again for a great video. Seasons greetings from Scotland.
Prices are insane for the models above the a6000. I say get that one or if you want more just get the A7II. I would not bother with the rest of the a6x series with the huge price differences between the models.
Great effort put for a comprehensive comparison video. Putting all Sony's 6000 series cameras in a single video with detailed explanation, similarities and differences is awesome.
I've been working with weddings and events with a6500 for 3 yrs since it has been released. I'm considering the upgrade to a6600 just because of the battery life and eye AF on video. (pretty good for the bride entrance on weddings)
Thank you Arthur! For making this video very simple to understand, I’m thinking of getting the a6100 I feel like it’s abit cheaper can still can create beautiful photos!
Still rocking my a6000 and have been for 5 years! I keep on asking myself when I'm going to upgrade but when I think about it, I also realize that the a6000 still does everything I need just fine. Waiting for Sony to release an updated a7 style aps-c body if they every do
I recently upgraded from my beloved 5 year old A6000 to a A6400. I am super happy with the quality of life changes on the A6400, but man.. sometimes I miss the feel of using my old buddy. Keep yours tight, it's still super good and has a character for sure! :)
This video is awesome! After years with Canon I switched to Sony with a A7 III and have now started looking at a smaller camera to complement that and also to use instead of my webcam. The numbering of the aps-c sony cameras was very confusing but this cleared it all up and I'm now confident that the a6100 is the one I'll go for. Thanks!
Nigel Cam, Sony has a well deserved reputation for quality. You pay a premium for it, but when it comes to something you want to use for years the cost is justifiable. Good observation.
Hi Arthur, now the difference between 6100 vs 6400 is approx 300$ ... still you will you recommend 6400.. I am using 6000 from last 3 years and want to upgrade pls suggest and is the colours science is same in both the cameras ?
how is sony a6100 in 2023 comparing with other camera like canon r50 or m50 mark ii? is a6100 worth buying in 2023? plz suggest me to pick a good entry level budget mirrorless camera for photography ?
Watched this entire video from start to finish, and it was EXTREMELY helpful in deciding which of the new cameras to upgrade too. I've been a little out of the loop on what all the new cameras have been, since I've been rocking the a6300 and RX100 V for so long now, and they've been doing me well - but that continuous video shooting on these new models and the new color science really eliminate all issues I was thinking about with the other cameras. Time to upgrade! Thanks, Arthur - great video and lots of help!
Man.. this video is SO clutch. Every time I get on B&H, I think to myself, “Wow, the numbering of the 6000 series is super confusing.. I wish I understood it better”. And now I do, thanks to you! Another awesome video, as always. Props to you my friend!
The A6600 has a menu and C3 button whereas the other cameras have menu and “flash” button. By removing the pop up flash they made room for another custom button. I’ll use that extra button way more than the pop up flash.
@S Tra depends what u gonna do, for street photography after sunset or for modern style (2000ish) fashion photography a built-in flash is a good feature. And portable, for sure
I wonder why you don't have more subs, this is the best camera buying guide I've seen. I'll start watching more of your videos, I'm really on a budget but I want either, 6400 or the 6600 They would be perfect for my photography style, and I really want to start making great quality videos.
I recently upgraded from a6000 to a6500, because I could pick it up cheaper than either a6100 or a6400, and since I have the Sigma trio and using it almost 100% on photo, I just felt I can give up the better autofocus and the color science for the IBIS. I didn't try the AF performance of the newer lineup, but it's still great on the a6500, and I love the IBIS. Therefore, for this price, I do believe that a6500 > a6100, because of the body, the IBIS, the EVF and back screen resolution, the buffer size, and also that Sony missed out the min. SS on auto iso function from the a6100, which is a bummer. Thanks for the great videos, keep it up!
This video is just a masterpiece, how couls someone be so perfect that you didn't missed any details, even explained everything without confusing in any point.
Killer argument imho was that the 6000 and 6100 are labled as not weather proof. Price difference was 300$ between a 6400 and the 6600 so I took the stabilizer.
Your video was so informative that I had originally bought the A6000 and paid for it but it hadn't shipped yet, and then after watching I cancelled it and ordered the A6400! THANK YOU THANK YOU.
This is a fantastic video! I've watched loads of A6XXX comparison videos but this video nailed it for me. Your knowledge of these cameras is unmatched and your delivery kept me watching the whole video. Thank you so very much.
Bro today is the first time in my life I ever researched about a camera and I was overwhelmed with the options and didn’t understand a single thing. I was about to give up until I sound this video. I love you so much now I am writing it during your audible AD so I don’t skip it and support your channel. Almost spent ALL my savings in the a6000 without realizing the horrible mistake it would be because I would rather get a used version of the newer models with the improvements you talked about. Will support your channel from now on 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Color science has absolutely nothing to do with a decision I would make as I edit photos. Canon spins that and that's why i shoot Sony as it doesn't matter. Nice work you put out some great videos.
You are right, but a LOT of people, (especially casual users) dont edit photos. Ive taken thousands of photos and only edit for clients. So in those cases, better straight out of the camera colors make a difference.
I have an A7 and anA5000. I was looking for a silver A6000 but couldn’t find one lately. I don’t like to take out my A7 because of how expensive it is and bought every silver emount song lens for my A5000. For my toddler’s preschool graduation, I was just going to use my iPhone 13 pro for a camera but, decided to take my A5000 with my 18mm-200mm lens. Man, was that a great decision. Every photo came out nice and clear. Easy to zoom in and out. These sony cameras are amazing.
I would like to thank you for explaining the chronological releases of the Sony a6x00 series. As well as the pros and cons of all of them. After watching this video you made me reconsider looking into the a6x00 series for video recording in 2020. Great job Arthur.
I’ve been spinning my wheels trying to make sense of their crazy numbering and which model I most wanted (used). Thank you SO SO much for laying it all out so clearly. You’re an absolute lifesaver. Now, back to my hunting. Thank you.
Thanks Arthur! This is the best overview of the A6x00 series I've seen. I bought an A6500 a few years ago (and a bunch of spare batteries) and have been very happy with it.
Great video, really informative as always, my main problem with the a6600 is that (in the UK) the a7iii is now about the same price and having owend and loved my a6500 for 10 months i will still rather spend the money moving to full frame, the form factor really isn't much bigger and the raw files just seem to have so much more to them, but that's just my personal experience.
Thanks for the comparative video on this Arthur. I've just bit the bullet and upgraded my Sony Nex-7 to the Sony A6400 .. Managed to pick up a mint boxed body only 6400 with just 2000 shutter activations for $865 (sealed new body only is $1300 here in the uk) Hope i've made a good choice lol
Amazing buyers guide. Watched the entire a6000-a6500 video before realizing there was an a6600! I was stuck between the 6400 and the 6500…but thanks to this video it worked in my favor because it is now a simple decision for the 6600. Thanks for these amazing guides!!!
I think this is the first camera video where I ACTUALLY understand what they're talking about and can make a good purchasing decision. Thank you so much for the great and easy explanation❤🤸♀️ highly appreciate it!!
I rarely remember to like/comment on a video with my short attention span and hardly ever do I feel the value of the content obligates me to. Congratulations and thank you.
This was really helpful. I currently have the a6000 but am looking to upgrade and have done a lot of research but you laid this out very clearly. I had already kind of landed on the a6400 so I'm glad that's what you recommend and why since budget is definitely a factor. Thank you so much!
Dude, great video with a very complicated comparison paradigm. It’s difficult enough to compare two cameras, let alone 6. But you did so excellently!!!
Can't believe I spent 3 days looking for a video that clarifies my doubts and here it is finally. You're amazing! Summed up everything that a potential buyer needs to know!
This is by far the best video about comparing cameras, with an intelligent discussion about the why's and wherefore's of each model. My scoring grade is A++++++++++++++++!
Wow Arthur! This video is fantastic! Thank you sooo much for explaining everything about these cameras. I’m planning to upgrade my a6000 and have been confused about all the upgrades and model numbers, but you gave such an amazingly informative explanation that I feel like I’m an expert in the Sony alpha 6000 family. Thank you! Thank you! Thousand thumbs up!!!!
First time I make a comment on UA-cam video. I am Buying a camera for my son’s weekend soccer games and the heating comparison was really helpful in making my decision.
Phenomenally informative video! I was always confused about the a6000 cameras and now I totally get it thanks to this video. Very well paced and clear!
This video by Arthur is the best I've watched about these Sony aps-c cameras. My business is broadcasting and shooting videos and my choice is 6600/6400/6100. 3 pieces for shooting interviews and live broadcasts of 2 people in the studio and on the street. Many thanks!
Sony should release an update for the a6500 so that people have the option to get the same colour science that a6400 has. I am ready to pay 150$- 200$ for the update.
@@KertArt I know but for the people who don't want to buy new cameras again and again...plus the resell value of Sony sucks. So it is better to give paid updates to the old customers because no 1wants to buy a new camera just for that one new feature.
God damn. I’m so glad I watched this. The only thing I’m debating is a 5100 vs 6000 vs 6100. I WANT the 6100, but the price difference is so extreme that I have a hard time justifying over the 5100. I am definitely concerned about the over heating issues. I guess what would solve it for me is seeing a comparison of video on the 5100 vs 6100. Thanks A TON for doing this depth. Seriously helped. Cheers!
ElfinHilon10 I have the 5100 and that the only thing I would say that sucks is the over heating. I love it for everything else but looking into the 6100 to film
bro, a6100 is superior to a5100 & a6000 on many levels, I would try too look for deals/discounts/used/saveUp& or use credit card, take a look at this ISO test I did ua-cam.com/video/MdDbEW3NNnA/v-deo.html a6300 produces similar result to a6100, & it is clear as day that a6000 is way behind
You forgot an important point: The A6000 doesn't support charging while in-use and needs to be turned off to charge at all, unlike the A6100 and above. This is a HUGE bummer as it drastically reduces the time you can compose, shoot, intervalometer timelapse, or record uninterrupted. With all the other cameras, you could hook up a smartphone powerbank and charge as you use it, extending the battery life 3-4 times. I found this out the hard way when I bought my A6000. If you're doing ANYTHING other than just taking pictures (and not timelapse pictures) in dry climate, the A6000 is a poor choice. The lack of a microphone jack severely limits your recording options as well, even if you don't care about 4K.
@@mirrorlessny I'm not sure, since I've never used the Z battery (I don't own an A6600). But since the Z battery has over twice the rated capacity of the NP-FW50 battery for the A6500 and below, it's probably excellent.
This is the best comparison. I'm a beginner with no experience in photography and I would like to buy one of these cameras with a lens, this is a great help
Great review! I upgraded from A6000 to A6400 so I don't miss IBIS since I never had it. What I don't understand if that when tiny GoPro's and 360 cameras have almost perfect image stabilization by processing the footage internally from a large buffer, Sony could not use a similar solution in the A6400. The processing power is probably sufficient.
From what understood after a few years with a6400 and then ZV-E10 (sold them both at the end), is that even gyro stabilized video will require additional crop and high shutter speed. 1/50th + digital stabilization will make steady motion but image will blur out every time there is any significant movement. Additionally GoPro lens are 2.8mm @ 1/2.5" sensor so ~6x crop, even with that it's only 16.8mm lens in terms of Full Frame. That would require 11.2mm lens on APS-C camera, much wider than usual suspects of 16mm, 24mm etc. And then there is next thing, when I used ZV-10 with 16mm Sigma f1.4 the motion of the camera was actually really smooth, I guess that wide angle helps a lot compared to 30mm and up, but what no gyro or stabilization can do is fix slow sensor readouts resulting is micro stutters, jello rolling shutter etc, and it gets only worse if you up the shutter speed.
I had this "problem" the other day with the Canon G series of "point & shoots", between the CCD versions that I've owned already all the way through the current G9 Mk3. With the help of dpreview and ebay, it took me about an hour to to sort them all out. Your video is over a half-hour long. #1: if you can't afford to buy it, then you can't shoot it. #2: if you can afford to buy it, then you have to decide whether camera A that costs twice as much on eBay is really worth twice as much in your hands. #3: when it comes to buying used gear, the question is how cheap is too cheap? So you need to know something about buying used camera-gear in general and last, #4 you need to know what features and performance you *need* which ones you *don't* need and which ones you maybe don't need but really want, which are nice to have and which are essentially useless to you. In other words you need a good priority-list to go along with the price. It's kind of hard to do all this right if you don't have enough experience with it already. And without enough experience you just get idiots who go around ranting "my sensor is bigger so my pictures are better". Every camera will take photos that are "suitable for viewing" if you look at them from far enough away at a small-enough display format. Simply take the photos away, and every image flaw clears-up just fine. So the real question is just how close do you need to press your nose to the image? Actually taking the image is a different story and that is much more about how comfortable you are with the camera and how responsive it is to your commands than with how good the IQ is. Tell me that it's really a good camera if you have to fiddle with it for 5 minutes to get a good shot out of it. This is why DSLRs and ILCs in general are still relevant, because it's nice to have a real camera in your hands with real controls and a lens that doesn't have to slide out and back in when you power the camera on and off. A lens that you can use as a brace to hold and steady the camera. All that Sony has really done here is say "we don't have a problem changing our camera-designs every 6 months". Hopefully improving them in the process. So you put them all together and the newer DSLRs give you a time-tested platform that still holds weight in the market for good reason, with each iteration "better" than the previous one, and it really is just a matter of how much of a camera you want vs how much you want to pay. When you get to write-off the cost of your gear on your taxes? Who the fuck cares, really. Buy whatever the fuck you want and charge it to the government. The Capitalist Way now is to list every possible tax deduction and expense so that you can not only minimize your tax bill outright but maximize your tax refund at the same time. How good do your photos have to be to make up for outright tax fraud? Took me like 10 minutes to type that up, so, there.
Arthur. My a6300 was stolen, looking to replace it. Money not an issue, which would you get between a new a6600 or used A7III. I'm both a UA-camr and a photographer. Need your all around opinion on this. It matters.
If you still have GOOD glass for your stolen A6300 , like any of the Sigma-trio lenses, then you might stick with APSC like the new A6600; the SIgma's resolve the 24Mpix APSC-sensor very well. But if you like zooms or have cheap / no glass at all, you will see more improvement by going for an A7III with even the lowly Sony 28...70mm zoom. It is just a bit easier to design / produce lenses for the bigger pixels of the A7III. For higher resolution full frame like the A7RIII best value lenses I would have a look at the Samyang f/1.4 > 35mm & 85mm lenses, they are just briljant! Choosing a platform / sensor is actually more about (quality of) available lenses. p.s. Forgot to mention a great UA-cam combo : A7III with Samyang 18mm f/2.8; compact, wide, great image quality, relatively inexpensive (even though you mentioned money is not an issue...)
Go for a used a7iii Rather than a new a6600 Or Go for a new a6400 or a used a6500 The ibis performance in the a6600 is exactly the same with a6500. If you need the newest features in a6600(eye af,new picture profile, etc) then just buy a6400 it has everything a6600 have except ibis. Spend the extra money for a gimbal
Buy the OMD EM1 MII: better stabilization, better video, better buffer, more features, smaller lenses, better build and weather-sealing, 60 FPS, and more
Counter: Get an a6400 and a gimbal. This setup would be more than adept for both videos and photos right now for you, esp since u probly already have good apsc lens (if u hadn't invested much into lenses yet, by all means get ff) And if money really isnt an issue, look into a7siii if it ever drops or an a7iv in the future!
Knowing Sony, I think the A7IV is coming in 2020. The A6600 at $1200 is a good option, as is an A6400 at around $850. If you do more video - A6600. More photography - A7III.
I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out the differences between these cameras. Finally, one video to answer EVERY question! I now know what I need to get to accomplish my goals. Thank you!!!
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Achilles Marcos thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is brilliant. I am relatively new to photography and, until now, have been completely befuddled by the Sony 6xxx line. It's now really clear. With my budget, it's the a6100 or a6400 for me. As I will be doing very little travelling and the camera will spend most of its life set-up on a tripod, the a6100 probably is the wisest choice.
Can’t believe you went through the whole thing without messing up the a6x00 even once. This is an amazing video, thank you!

The OG a6000 still working great for me. Didn't realize it already has that much brothers. Great review!
Probably one of the best, most detailed and relaxing UA-cam videos I've seen in a long while
Would like to express thanks and compliments for your outstanding detailed and well researched Sony reviews. Hello!
which of these cameras would you recommend for jewelry photography and which lens should I use? I would appreciate any help 🙌🏻
Did the same along with a samyang 35mm F1.2 makes really nice photos specially at night.
I own the a6000 and the RX100m3, but man ;( the battery sucks, I'm really tempted to go back and use my Canon gear again
Years later, this video remains super relevant and helpful. Thank you! Very methodical, clear going through 3 models and 3 updates.

Same lol. Did you choose something?
@@zerospecs2331 I went for the A6000. It’s great.
Prices are insane for the models above the a6000. I say get that one or if you want more just get the A7II. I would not bother with the rest of the a6x series with the huge price differences between the models.
@@Robert.Dickson You still have it? Are you happy with it?
Great effort put for a comprehensive comparison video. Putting all Sony's 6000 series cameras in a single video with detailed explanation, similarities and differences is awesome.
I've been working with weddings and events with a6500 for 3 yrs since it has been released. I'm considering the upgrade to a6600 just because of the battery life and eye AF on video. (pretty good for the bride entrance on weddings)
Thank you Arthur! For making this video very simple to understand, I’m thinking of getting the a6100 I feel like it’s abit cheaper can still can create beautiful photos!
Great choice! I still use my A6100 all the time.
THANK YOU! i was just researching the whole line trying to pick one to buy. settled on beginning video making with a6100
strong choice 💪
One of the best and most difficult to make reviews I've seen. Thank you!
Thanks!
Arthur the APS-C King
Sony APSC !
He definitely has become the Sony ASPC authority on UA-cam. Arthur has sold more Sony cameras than anyone.
Manish Sharma I would get the 6400 if you already have some decent glass for it. Otherwise get the 6100 and the Sigma 16 or the Sony 30.
how is sony a6100 in 2023 comparing with other camera like canon r50 or m50 mark ii? is a6100 worth buying in 2023? plz suggest me to pick a good entry level budget mirrorless camera for photography ?
Watched this entire video from start to finish, and it was EXTREMELY helpful in deciding which of the new cameras to upgrade too. I've been a little out of the loop on what all the new cameras have been, since I've been rocking the a6300 and RX100 V for so long now, and they've been doing me well - but that continuous video shooting on these new models and the new color science really eliminate all issues I was thinking about with the other cameras. Time to upgrade! Thanks, Arthur - great video and lots of help!
In 2022 if I'm getting a6500 and a6100 for the same price which one should I go for? I plan to use it for photography almost exclusively.
Man.. this video is SO clutch. Every time I get on B&H, I think to myself, “Wow, the numbering of the 6000 series is super confusing.. I wish I understood it better”. And now I do, thanks to you! Another awesome video, as always. Props to you my friend!
Just upgraded from an a6000 to an a6600 so happy with the upgrade!
The A6600 has a menu and C3 button whereas the other cameras have menu and “flash” button. By removing the pop up flash they made room for another custom button. I’ll use that extra button way more than the pop up flash.
Brad Norling the pop up flash is a feature I have never even considered using.
Pop up flash is useless
@@lmenzol why ?
Very helpful and detailed explanation of the differences between these cameras... might go with the a6400 or a6600. Thanks!
Why not A6500?
11:18 - Best part of the video
that chase
Your video was so informative that I had originally bought the A6000 and paid for it but it hadn't shipped yet, and then after watching I cancelled it and ordered the A6400! THANK YOU THANK YOU.
I have the A6300 with me for 2 years and i adore it, gonna make a review myself soon
A6300 IS TIER
I’ve had the a6300 for the same amount of time as you! I really like it. Not sure if I should upgrade.
Thankyou for sharing this indepth video... It cleared all my doubts 🙂
Sony model #'s are definitely confusing to track.
I’ve been spinning my wheels trying to make sense of their crazy numbering and which model I most wanted (used). Thank you SO SO much for laying it all out so clearly. You’re an absolute lifesaver. Now, back to my hunting. Thank you.
I really appreciate how in-depth this is, and how well you showcased all of the features. Such a good review! Thank you!
W video! Gonna do some more research on the A64 & A66 and decide on which one I want to replace my G7X Mark II. 💪🏽
Thanks Arthur! This is the best overview of the A6x00 series I've seen. I bought an A6500 a few years ago (and a bunch of spare batteries) and have been very happy with it.
I'm still watching this now in 2024. Is there an updated review after this video? Updated and improved models of these cameras.
Get a used 6300 if on a budget. If you need more you probably already have it.
this is the best buying guide and comparison video of cameras that i've ever watched... awesome
well done, sir ! 👌🏼

I own the a6400 and when combined with the sigma primes, then both the video and the photos are breathtakingly beautiful!
You are the most credible and reliable channel I go to when I want to look up cameras. And also the least click baity
Damn. You are a good history teacher.
Thank you so much!
any camera model above a6000 will feel like a huge upgrade,,, I did a low light test video not long ago a6000 performance is horrible
Haven't seen such detailed review on UA-cam since ages. Excellent work!
Dude, great video with a very complicated comparison paradigm. It’s difficult enough to compare two cameras, let alone 6. But you did so excellently!!!
Great video. Which lens do you recommend for a total beginner? I would love to make family and holiday pictures.
Can't believe I spent 3 days looking for a video that clarifies my doubts and here it is finally. You're amazing! Summed up everything that a potential buyer needs to know!
Greatest review that I had ever seen on youtube about sony a6x00 series cameras.
Nice Arthur! All great cameras. I’m partial to the A6400 because of it value for money. Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!
This is by far the best video about comparing cameras, with an intelligent discussion about the why's and wherefore's of each model. My scoring grade is A++++++++++++++++!
I love the way how you guided this Sony series, slow to make sure viewers understand, much appreciate! Thanks!
Arthur I am SO GLAD I found your channel. I have been checking n asking n comparing like crazy but not anymore. Thankyou so much. God bless you !!!
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
This video is just perfect, it's complete, clean and incredibly easy to understand. Keep the awesome work ma man.
2023 I’m looking at the a6100 with lens at $698. Is that a good price? New.
week ago i bought my Sony A6400 and i am very happy with it , specially the auto focus system :)
Thank you for this very informative video! Made my decision a whole lot easier.
I am Buying a camera for my son’s weekend soccer games and the heating comparison was really helpful in making my decision.
man, so impressed with this video. and i even wated the a6000 - a6500 vid just yesterday. great content
Used my a6500 for Evers. Even dropped in a lake for 2 minutes before I could dive in and retrieve. STILL WORKS!!! After drying it out for a week.
Really nice video! I love the effort you put in this comparison. Merry Christmas
Does Sony a6100 have Infrared for remote control? If not, how is it possible to do so? Bluetooth? App? Thanks
Phenomenally informative video! I was always confused about the a6000 cameras and now I totally get it thanks to this video. Very well paced and clear!
Very informative! Thank you!
which one will you choose?
I’ve been watching Sony camera reviews like crazy for the last couple of weeks
Yours was BY FAR the best one I’ve seen!
Keep it up!
This video by Arthur is the best I've watched about these Sony aps-c cameras. My business is broadcasting and shooting videos and my choice is 6600/6400/6100. 3 pieces for shooting interviews and live broadcasts of 2 people in the studio and on the street. Many thanks!
hello,, i like your videos,,
the a6400 very good but its not include IBIS :(( so i want buy a6600
Thank you very much
Sony should release an update for the a6500 so that people have the option to get the same colour science that a6400 has.
I am ready to pay 150$- 200$ for the update.
why if they can get $1200 for new camera it's Sony & they want all your money
The lack of a microphone jack severely limits your recording options as well, even if you don't care about 4K.
thats good to know thx for the find, what is your opinion on the Z battery in apsc body
@@mirrorlessny I'm not sure, since I've never used the Z battery (I don't own an A6600). But since the Z battery has over twice the rated capacity of the NP-FW50 battery for the A6500 and below, it's probably excellent.
@@GENKI_INU yes Z battery in APS-C body is awesome, holds up well on long hike videos
So you need to know something about buying used camera-gear in general
and last,
#4 you need to know what features and performance you *need* which ones you *don't* need and which ones you maybe don't need but really want, which are nice to have and which are essentially useless to you.
Took me like 10 minutes to type that up, so, there.
i love watching review videos about tech i already have HAHAHAH a6400 is really great
Dried Soup jump in stills? Or mostly video? I own the A6000 but shoot stills and don’t know if A6400 is worth the upgrade.
This review vid is now the standard of what a great quality, info-packed video should be. Great job.
Go for a used a7iii
Rather than a new a6600
Or Go for a new a6400 or a used a6500
The ibis performance in the a6600 is exactly the same with a6500. If you need the newest features in a6600(eye af,new picture profile, etc) then just buy a6400 it has everything a6600 have except ibis.
Spend the extra money for a gimbal
Buy the OMD EM1 MII:
better stabilization, better video, better buffer, more features, smaller lenses, better build and weather-sealing, 60 FPS, and more
Counter: Get an a6400 and a gimbal.
Thank you!!!
nice comparison and can be a buying guide. thanks Arthur
I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@August Rodrigo Instablaster ;)
@Achilles Marcos thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Achilles Marcos It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my account :D
@August Rodrigo glad I could help xD
Thank you, exactly the video I needed! Where would you put the ZV E10 in your "best to worst" ranking?
Thank you! I watched your video and bought lens from your recommended. Now your showed me a6100 or a6400 is a good replacement for my a6000.
Hi Arthur I like the way you explain everything. I’m try to buy a camera and now you make my life easier. Thank you soo much. 👍👍👍👍👍
