Dongar Technologies Adapter (12-pin) - amzn.to/3YT8YAz
Here's my step-by-step guide on installing a dashcam for your 2022 Honda Civic using adapter made by Dongar Technologies. This product is compatible across several Honda vehicles including the very popular Honda Accord.
Compatibility for Honda vehicles:
Year/Model : 2018+ Honda Accord (incl. Hybrid Models)
Year/Model : 2022 Honda Civic Touring - Наука та технологія
Can confirm that this works for sport touring as well
Appreciate it brother! Thanks for sharing
Warranty definitely goes out the window with this😂
How so? 🤔
@@Auto-Minutewhat do you mean, you’re obviously adding an adapter to that radar that didn’t come with the car you’re tampering with the radar’s harness🤷🏻♂️
@@Loso0523 It doesn't matter, you can just remove it for any work you would need to do related to warranty
Would this support parking mode as it would during a hardwired case? Since a dash cam and the autodimming mirror share the same supply do you need to upgrade the fuse? Would there be any issues related to power in this setting?
Same questions?
Yes, good question! Will it work for parking Mode?
Good question. I can’t tell, but if it’s the same circuit that powers the lights above the rear view mirror, I would expect it to work, because the car does not need to be on to power those lights.
Can I split this USB port from the adapter to two USB ports and power a forward facing and rear facing dashcam?
You can, but I would be mindful about distributing the low power output among devices. My suggestion would be to pickup something like a "Garmin Tandem" with cameras pointing outward as well as inside.
Great! Thank you for the suggestion!
So the lower trim Civics don’t have this connector installed at all? Like the Si or Ex? Any one take their car apart to verify?
It all depends if you have power running to your mirror. If you have the standard mirror, there isn't a connector port to use within that plastic shroud. If someone's already tried this on their vehicle, I'd be curious as well.
I tried it on my 23 Civic sport and it doesn’t have that connection unfortunately
I wish I could confirm or deny but I can’t get the shroud off at all
2022 Civic sport hatchback does not have the plug it has one strictly for the lane assist camera on the right side
@@SilverbackSasquatch19xx It's one of the tougher ones out there definitely (or maybe I don't know). I spent a good amount of time finessing it to not break anything.
