I totally agree! I had to get it especially the way it fits with no Routing of any wires. It's perfect, I really love it, I definitely recommend it. Get it as soon as you can!
Just remember it can also incriminate you as well.

@Rei Cecilio this camera is very basic. It doesn't have all the fancy features like those tech loaded ones. I got it because it's better than having none at all and it's super easy to install

Thank you for the video. I have been looking for a dash cam since I got my hatch sport last month. I will have to look more into this one. I’m with you and not having to deal with running a bunch of cables. I would get the rear aswell though.

It looks nice and custom fit for the 2022 Civic Sedan/Hatchback, but lots of the others have interior and rear cameras with lots of other innovative and useful features.
This camera does have a rear camera but I didn't get that option. It's a cool basic camera with no hassle to install it and I do prefer the oem design.
@@rotheinstaller Yes, that a plus for easy OEM integration and installation snd simplicity. The resolution is good, and great to have a decent dashcam, instead of none, for many reasons.
@@jjacob25101 I agree 100% I rather have this than nothing at all and I'm all about clean oem look. I hate running a bunch of wires.
@@rotheinstaller I know in Russia, a dashcam is required for vehicle registration. They have some of the craziest drivers and accidents. Maybe you've seen some of the videos. I'm former Honolulu Police Department, so I watch and repost lots of the police pursuit videos.
Dashcams are invaluable for accidents especially for liability reasons if you are involved, or want to assist others, likewise for crimes/roadrage incidents or other events, such as natural disasters for documentation for insurance claims.
Then you have accident scams where people on bicycles, skateboards, cars, pedestrians, set you up and blame you for an accident, sometimes demanding money, extortion not to report you, and getting footage for damages they cause if they flee, especially if they find out you have it recorded on video.
@@jjacob25101 it's crazy over there in Russia and I wasn't aware it's a requirement there to get your car registered, that just goes to show how important it is to have it in your vehicle. Thanks for the info. Also for the reason pertaining to the scam artists out there, your camera is your only defense.
you should make more videos on your hatch! everyone i see has sedans that does modding, and i have the new hatch😭
@Cameron Thompson all my videos are for the hatch. It's just that both cars uses the same mods. What mod would you like to see ?
I installed one it doesn’t seem so be recording my every drive seems like it operates like a ring camera
@jay it records every drive. Do you check the app ? And make sure you check all the settings for the recording

What phone holder is that? Just got a 23 civic sport sedan and need a phone holder that works with the new vent design
Does it record sound as well? This is super slick. I love how discrete it is.

It does work with an app. It is pretty straightforward and easy to use
Ive been trying to remove that shroud behind the rear view mirror, but it feels so delicate I'm afraid its gonna break lol
@Chilly613 I felt the same way, lol, but it won't break. It's just clipped together very well. It's high-quality plastic, so it's going to take some doing to break it.
just yank it out. it's a cheap, easily replaceable part if you somehow manage to break it.
Did the oe.trim piece no longer usable?. I triwd to yank it out to fix a rattle but fear that it may break it
@nhantran98 yes my trim piece was still usable. Just have to go slow when removing it. It's very high quality si it won't break

@@bryanflores1977 I don't have a link. I had found it on aliexpress. I messaged the seller directly and had them sell me the adapter only. Other than that, you won't find it by itself.
I’ll be surprised if this thing last 6 months. Another owner had one that stopped working after a month. Fitcam did replace his quickly but it will likely fail again. It’s a novel concept but like most Chinese garbage this is sure to fail quickly. Update us if this happens.
@MSWeaponsChannel hopefully that doesn't happen to mine but it's been working great so far but I will put out an update if anything happens.

@fadlianaazhar yes they do have that option available. You can also buy it separately if you don't have all the money at once.
How was it when taking off the trimming? Is there any certain way to pull? I want to get this camera, I’m just worried about breaking a clip
@jwalkerftw, you have to yank it straight down with a bit of force. The clips are very tightly secured. Make sure you use a trim removal tool
Just completed the install, the trimming was very snugged and secured but eventually I got it out with no issues or broken clips! How has the cam been treating you? Any issues yet or anything you notice you dislike?
@jwalkerftw my cam is working great. I haven't had any issues thus far. I'm glad you got it installed with no issues. So far I don't have any dislikes. Did you get the rear camera aswell ?
@@rotheinstaller That’s great news man, and that’s my plan but now I ran into an issue. I’m trying to figure out how to connect it to my phone. I don’t know the password to the WiFi option it gives to me which is "LHD_JM70535cc563c58383".

What capacity flash drive does it come with?
@xp50player I'm not sure, I didn't get one with my purchase. I got mine from a 3rd party vendor

It was a little under $300 including shipping.
