20 Minute Vinyasa Yoga for your Low Back

  • This is a 20 minute vinyasa sequence for your low back. When you're short on time, feeling tweaky in the low back, this yoga sequence will encourage some decompression, provide space in the low back and gently massage your spine.

    Revisited, after a rather emotionally demanding day, -thank you so much for this lesson, getting me closer to knowing what exactly my lower back & the ileosacral is doing, indeed! ...postponed the Rooster, settled for the Duck/Karandavasana, amazingly demanding already, working to walk my knees higher up...& then it's "only a matter of" straightening out my arms, haha...Loved to the figurines already guarding the teaching back then! ❤️🙏🏻

      A nice low flying pose - not far to fall :-) but super advanced. Hope your back feels better soon. The bottom of the totem poll takes a big load, it’s often a place of tightness. Have a great week ahead Markus 🙏

      @@TwoBirdsYoga Thank you, the same to you! It's not the physical part of me, but the emotional, we're living in crazy times, but we have the mat to sort ourselves out on, & what's more calibrating than comprehending an Asana, bringing cognitive control into one's own flesh & bone structures!

    My dinosaur computer won't allow me on your website and I don't do social media...so I guess I will put this out there right now: Would you consider designing a longer session specifically for those with a strong practice but have a tweaked lower back and/or neck? I am trying to figure out how I am doing it to myself, but until then... Most videos are very short or are geared towards those who do not practice yoga but would like to address back pain. For the past month, I have not been willing or able to click elsewhere since I found you! For many reasons, you are my perfect yoga mate! For my lunch hour, I set up the auditorium at the hospital I work at, and I play you on the big screen and you and I practice together on the stage in secret! :) I can't get enough and I may sometimes give in to my competitive and immature side that I am trying to hush.       @@TwoBirdsYoga Hi Fiona. Indeed, my back is better and thanks to your advice, I was able to recover a good part of my motricity after my injury. Your suggestion to follow Nicole's pilates classes was really judicious and during my long quarantine I did daily sessions (pilates in the morning and yoga in the evening). But since I was not always being reasonable lately, I maybe forgot about my recent injury a little too quickly and so I needed a dedicated session to relax my low back.

      Jean-Jacques POTHIER it is very much a preventative practice. I’ve found the same. Miss a few days and my back let’s me know.

      Hey Julie, I hope that was a good thing? I have had a sore back on and off for months.... I started doing mat pilates - glutes, hips, core.... completely transformative! (You can prob tell as my latest videos have some pilates sequencing. Worth a go? 20 min everyday x here’s a channel I follow and love

    Delicious, thank you so much for this lesson! Since 8Angles is on my learning menue, & will be for some time this year for certain, I thought hey, "low back", ideal for learning to bend more functionally, in particular the sideways twisting movement, wonderful wonderful! Then I got careless, 🤗, for I've discovered there's an Asana called "Lame Peacock", the latter I love to do, such a beautiful & powerful position to learn - but I have no clue on how to manage it on a single hand now, that's superbly puzzling! You don't have any lessons or ideas re "weird hand balances, don't fall onto your face" sort of, do you?

      @@TwoBirdsYoga Thank you very much indeed, yes, there's a couple, I think there's a way here, I can work on that! (The difference between those two in the linked video & your excellence is, honestly, staggering, -once more I became aware of what an exceptional teacher you are, & how precious your Yoga is, in contrast to this...esoteric form of fitness tutorial. 'nuff said.)
      Their "croc"- saw that several times, it's a flipped supine Crocodile Asana basically, I'll keep that in mind! 🙏🏻
