30 Minute Vinyasa Flow - Day 21 Challenge

- This is a 30 minute vinyasa flow class. A compact class that will warm your whole body. Begin practice with surya namaskar C - lunging salutes, moving at a continuous, breath centred pace. We then slow it down and linger in some deeper hip opener variations - focussing on hamstrings, your outer hips, inner thighs along with some supported twists and mild backbends. A balanced flow ideal for a morning or an evening practice to recalibrate and return your range of motion. For practice, you'll need a block. Enjoy!

Just what I needed this morning! At first I wondered if beginning standing would be sufficient for flexibility, but it definitely was. Your voice is so calming. Loved it!
Thank you Janis! Yes, I wouldn’t normally begin standing but the sun salutes do the trick n this case. Glad you warmed up sufficiently. It’s tricky to include those warm ups I love in a 30 min class.

Thanks for a nice short one, not too strenuous either. Would love to have any music playing in the background if you are re-add that back in as I don’t have a paid subscription to Spotify and the ads make it difficult to follow along on another device for music options. Thanks for considering

A wonderful, gentle start to the Bank Holiday. I’m returning to daily yoga sessions this week - planning to mix it up with different flows.
How was your ride? We’re just back. Really need yoga now!! About 100 km mtb in 3 days Tasmania! So beautiful! Great you’re committed to a daily flow. Stay with it! Go well 🙏
Have had some glorious rides in the Cornish countryside including an ascent of the ‘Cornish Ventoux’ aka as Kit Hill! 100km mtb sounds really challenging. Is it quite mountainous? Males on my mother’s side of the family often carried the name Hobart. I wonder whether there’s a connection?
Sounds lovely and steep! Hobart was named after an earl of Buckinghamshire... lord Hobart! We mixed the rides up with electric mountain bikes :-) faster up and down :-)
Loved this class especially that version of sun salutations. It's amazing what you can squeeze into 30 minutes. The scissors twist was a new one for me I was getting the sensation in the opposite leg so l might have to try it again and see what I was doing wrong. Happily whatever I overstretched in my leg seems to have sorted itself as wide legged forward fold was fine. Thank you.
Might have got my lefts and rights mixed up? I do that from time to time despite only having two legs and 14 years teaching :-) great you loved this one Paul and your overstretched leg feels good again, thanks!

Oh!!! That’s so wonderful to hear Markus! It is a beautiful space... I think if I brought him along, he’d wee with excitement!! Not sure I can put that on camera. He’s well... tearing up outdoor beds currently!! A super anxious rescue doggie... but we love him. I’ll shoot at home soon and he can cameo!
