Is it still worth going to Old Egyptian Museum in Cairo?

YES! It still has thousands of important artifacts, and it will never close. It also (at the writing of this comment) houses several important king tut artifacts, like the golden funerary mask!

Actually, the most important update I am looking for is "where is the golden mask of King Tutankhamen" at any moment. I am planning a trip to Egypt in the next year or so, and really want to see the mask. I assume there will be a period of time they will transfer the mask so the mask may not be available for public to see, really try to avoid this period. Appreciate if you can share what you know during this transition time, thanks,

Yes-this will be directly related to the GEM, and I’ll for sure keep everyone updated about any news I hear about the King Tut Mask. For now it is still at the original (old) Egyptian Museum, and there are no set dates for moving it yet, at least nothing announced. Thanks for commenting!
