Rick Steve the original and still the best youtuber.
the OG!!
LET US NOT FOR IAN WRIGHT OF LONELY PLANET!!
I’ve been watching and admiring Rick Steves for many years now, he’s the original and best of all travel bloggers.
There isn’t a ton of wholesome programming anymore, so even more appreciation for this.
Totally agree with you. Everything is so over saturated today. I deleted social media and then started watching Rick Steves and I feel SO refreshed.
I have been watching this guy for years and years. He does a really great job 👏
The voice of travel
My wife and I just returned yesterday ftom an AMAWaterwsys tour of Egypt and saw all of these sites and more, with the exception of Alexandria. Marawa was one of our 3 guides. It was exhausting and wonderful. We had one fabulous lunch at a gorgeous Marriott property across the street from the pyramids and a final lunch at the Royal palace in downtown Cairo. The three days in Cairo was based at the Ritz.
Egypt the Disney way .
Great video. I visited Egypt 9 times in the 1990s. Flying from London to Cairo,Luxor, and Aswan and local flight to Abu Simbel. I thought that Hatshepsut was the only female pharaoh, but is referred to as the greatest woman pharaoh. Who were the others? Retired to Spain in 2001 for 21 years, now back in U.K. near Cambridge.Aged 89.
Yes my friend tell me. She. Upset.
So l say not. Peeples now. Different. So. For us now. About history.
I do not know must about this. So now .I. don't go. To cause. I do not know about islsle. An paĺàtie
Mer-Neith, Dyn. 1; Sobekneferu, Dyn. 12; Nefertiti (likely, if she is identical with Neferneferuaten); I think there may be a few more, but these are the ones I could think of 🙂

The History about your Beautiful Land is Priceless, Totally "PRICELESS"
Egypt has not been the same since the 1952 army revolution, things are becoming even worse as years are passing at all levels
I love watching him
Beautiful presentation, thanks from Egypt
Egypt is the most interesting foreign country I have visited; Luxor is a fascinating place; go if you can to both of these places.
Is Egypt safe?
I heard a lot of bad things on UA-cam, scammers and tired and hungry animals and harassment, is it really safe for visit ?
Yes, if you take a tour@@7178nana
@@7178nanaYes, if you take a tour; try Grand Circle Tours; perhaps ask Rick Steves for advice about tours; good luck.

Beautiful Egypt ❤
Greatly well researched, informative and entertaining.
شكرًا جزيلاً على هذه الرحلة الجميلة عن مصر، المعاصرة منها والقديمة!
Egypt is most popular for its awesome pyramids !
The streets and the market place in Cairo has a striking resemblance with our country India in many ways. There, too people travel by autorickshaws for going to various places.
The pipe hukkas for smoking were very much in vogue in the then times in India and were mostly used by the zamindars ( landlords ) or by the people of elite class. The big boats with mast on sail were commonly used in India as well during the ancient times. The agriculture and farming were also done in the same way in ancient India as is done in Egypt.
The food is also very similar to the food which lndians have in their everyday life.
Overall, a wonderful scenario !
Thanks !😊
this video is older, 9 or more years. check out Rick Steves actual youtube page or his website 😊
I am quite amused when Mr.Rick
says 'hut balloons' which in India we call 'phulkas' and if the handmade bread is flat and thinner it is called 'chappatis' or 'rotis'.Anyway, when it is called 'hut balloons', the phulkas get a new and anglicised name, which sounds very natural as it is like a round ball and is the handmade bread which ordinary people have in their everyday life.😂
Watching this video felt like finishing a good book about Egypt, very enjoyable!
i always enjoy your tours rick thank you so much keep up the awesome tours
Thank you Steve, I am hopefully gone to be there in May, so it was great to see this episode🙏
Haven't seen too many his travelogs over the years, but always appreciate his classy and courteous manner.
Thank you! Amazing history. Well done!
Excellent video, just excellent !
This is number 1 on my bucket list !

Great°I must visit these places.. Thanks a lot!❤
Beautiful episode .... kept me lost in the video 😍
Excellent video. I love Egypt
Luxor looks very interesting to visit 👌🏼Great video, thank you!
Go to Luxor, for sure and not for 1 day. I had been there 3 times. Last winter for 28 days. Than more you see there, than more you want to look at. Tell, that it was amazing and captivating- Tell nothing. Don't be afraid to travel on your own.
Incredible & Exotic Country. I will definitely visit Egypt soon.👍🏽🙏🏽

I'm waiting for the Grand Egyptian Museum to fully open before I visit.
@@andyroo9381 it's already finished but they don't want to fully open it because they think the war nearby would affect the show so they're waiting for the war in gaza to end first
love egypt
Yesterday that many years ago I was a kid watched you on TV Rick Steve and til now I watch you on UA-cam today. :)
Omg, I fall in love with Luxor .
Thoroughly enjoyed this as I usually do with Rick's travels.
love and adore trips and travelling too, visiting lots of holy places, beautiful places, where OUR KING OF THE WORLD,NATIONS WALK AND RAN
IT'S ALWAYS interesting and entertaining to see Americans being concerned about their safety when travelling to the Middle East, Totally brainwashed by Us government usually advising against travelling to this part of the world for safety and yet suffering from amnesia on the subject of safety on the streets of the cities in the US
The US does not have Suicide Vest or Car Bombs or Terrorist shooting people with machine guns. We have a different type of crime.
thank you for sharing
Thank you Rick, Love the new shows 👍👍
I watched Rick Steve on Mississippi Public Broadcasting with Keeping Up Appearances & Monty Python when there was no youtube and only 4 Stations
Awesome❤
Respect to you Rick
Always
Me too I hope the future will be more relaxed and better what it is now .. thank you 🙏 for sharing
I was hoping Steve would show people at the beautiful see shore families enjoying bathing at the beach, also the tramways in Alexandria, usual people’s life, beautiful hotels, and shopping stores selling good European goods… too much of pharaonic pillars , sands and pyramids. But I appreciate his efforts, I was born in Cairo and lived in Alexandria too. Much has changed…..😮 I have unforgettable beautiful memories.😊❤ oh how much I miss the beaches, was the best in the whole world . Thank you.
Mr. Steves, thank you for your contribution.
Wonderful!
I am based in Egypt since 2016... this video is way too authentic, very nice, however you still did not discovered the very very modern bit of egypt especially Cairo, like sheikh zayed, new cairo city, zamalek island, madinty, Heliopolis, the malls like cairo festival city, downtown katameya mall, maadi, mohandessin, garden city, mall of egypt, mall of arabia, and ofc the new administrative city still under construction. The country is going crazy with lots of changes all over. Kinda exciting to see all these changes and improvements. I love your shows sir.
love it
thank you
This is the first video of yours I've watched, really incoming it
Masham Allah very beautiful and very interesting video thanks so much sir

My favorite vlog ever rick's Steve
My favourite subject is geography because I love travelling
Change has increased dramatically
Wow❤
i miss Luxor! I only got there once for the 100th anniversary of the Egyptian Exploration Society. Unfortunately, we were on a Bales tour. I suppose they no longer exist. Well , we went about everywhere as well as seeing sites that were not open to the public but then we got lost in the Fayum. Everyone from all over the world were so nice and I kept up with one dear friend from St. Albans in England until she died. I did learn not to let on that I was American.
Why, you were embarrassed?
Buenísimo ❤
❤😊!
YESTERDAY AND TODAY !
Beautiful Country.
I really like this vlog because they explained about the history and culture welcome back during pandemic I watched his old vlog.
Lots of love from Kerala India
It's very good to see you again ,Mr Rick Steves.
I enjoyed your trip to Egypt. You did your usually through job of showing us the interesting sites. Had your thought of visiting Japan, China, Australia or even Quebec, or everywhere in Canada?
Egypt is in Africa. Is the word uttered during any portion of this tour? It seems as though great lengths were taken to avoid mention of this continent, while "Europe" is prominently and proudly spoken of in almost every segment of Mr. Steves' numerous tours of his ancestral homeland.
very true egypt and sumer were among the first highly advanced civilizations then it spread to greece and rome and the rest of europe ... he should show more respect and be more grateful to the ancestors and to the teachers of technology
Come visit Egypt with Mystery land tours
Hollyland ❤
Idont get the last part: how the Simbel was removed & moved to another place when it looks like it's engraved in the hill?
Fab-u-lous !
I’d love to visit Egypt.Excellent overview of Egypt

The Alexandria Library is buried deep underneath the airport in Egypt!! Cindy
I was very lucky to visit and return a couple of weeks before the massacre on tourists in the valley of the kings. As remarkable and life changing as it was to see ancient Egypt I would not feel safe to travel there again.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🕊
Hai Mr.Rick.. after a pretty long time could I see you..
Cairo drivers are insane but surprisingly few accidents. The mosques are beautiful and the museum is outstanding. Giza was a bit disappointing...looks better in books 📚.
Giza is more about the energy, than the look!
OMG!!! He left Europe?
This video is very old,,, but its very well done.
Lovely video. I fell in love with Egypt. It is awesome. Just so sad so many guides take advantage of tourists. It is a turn off to go back.
Yup, been scam by our own tourist guide too. For a 12 days tour. A hefty price for a 12 days tour for a family of three. The only expensive i think that he had paid was our hotel and the Nile Cruise because they charge in US dollars but the food and drinks, entrance fee to temples and museum are really cheap. But when we get to Luxor he had put us in a cheap apartment there for 3 days with no hot water for showers. $4,000 per person and its 3 of us.
Also their vendors there are scammers and very aggressive. So many tourist trap in that country.
A guten Appetit
I like Ricks Narration..it is informative, playful and melodic, poetic sometimes..when the Palm trees become Silhouettes..some nice Observations and Comments..The Builders were trying to understand the Afterlife..Many temples got looted..then the Pharaohs went more discrete..more hidden with their temples......Je suis sur le Sentier...lol
i F'ing love you Rick$$
🎉❤🎉
That was just the major spots ...
you can go East to Dahab
or West to Siwa where it's always bright , , ,,,
These are not reruns 😍

Don't forget there is a Big HISTORIC City in Egypt called ALEXANDRIA..
Hence the explanation for: Tzatziki sauce, Moussaka and Stuffed Grape Leaves.
They are 2356 years old Egyptian Dishes.
Siguiendo con la fecha que ud da, el tiemo de Akheanten (1600BC) vino despues de que DIos habia hablado con Abram (2100 BC) (Despues Abraham)

In Arabic, Cairo is nicknamed "umm ed-dunya" (the mother of the world).
He made it a lot more calm than Cairo actually is
I recalled the non stop Hocking on the streets of Cairo and Alexandria. So I only spent 2 hours in Cairo and left 😅
