I was there 2 weeks ago, but flew with EasyJet from LTN😂😂😂, the quickest and quietest airport I've been to (Sphinx), I must have passed thru immigration in less than 60 seconds
Thanks for posting. Whizz have a pretty poor reputation here in the UK but seems that you had a good experience. Definitely an option for my next flight to Cairo
Great video: please let your non-UK clients know: if they wish to transfer to Whizz from a different London airport: London Luton is NOT IN LONDON at all. It's quite a long way from London and transferring would be a journey in itself.
Good point! I transferred there myself (I flew into LHR and then transferred to LTN). It was very easy, I just took one bus that went straight from LHR to LTN (National Express) and it only cost about $25 USD. However, it did take around 2 hours all said and done, so folks would need to factor that in.
Do you know if I can purchase a ticket from Cairo to the Luxor at the airport for a domestic flight and back without booking online? Reason being is I will be in Cairo but not sure exactly when we will go to Luxor but then we leave out of Cairo again. No one can seem to answer this question in their Egypt guide videos. Thanks man.
You can purchase tickets at the airport as long as you go when the ticket desks are working (normal working hours), but I would definitely book online instead-way easier!
I travel Business because I am old and I can’t handle unnecessary challenges. Last time I went to Cairo, I flew on Lufthansa via FRA in 2010. On my return to Toronto via FRA, the Cabin Crew told me to display my Canadian passport to the German Federal Police as I was exiting the plane. Apparently if I had an Egyptian passport, I would be in for additional “questioning.” Do you know if Egyptians are still subject to this harassment by German authorities?
You often cannot buy Euros or any foreign currency in Egypt, even if you are at the airport. And if you are allowed to, they often have a very low limit, like 500 Euros. Oftentimes they will flat out refuse to buy EGP and sell you foreign currency at all. Has anyone had any experience with this recently?
What about Luxor Airport should be in the video? LXR is a very straightforward airport, easy to navigate, and it’s been around a long time. Is there something specific you think tourists need to know about Luxor Airport?
Not that I know of-does anyone know if there are any buses? I know there’s no metro for sure. There may be microbuses or other bus companies that go to SPX.
GUS , I want to ask you and feel free to reply to me I won't get offended What is the worst thing preventing Egypt from getting more tourists and I would recommend going to the pyramids and doing a new video because Nagib Sawiras company is doing huge projects there transforming the area but things are still going
That’s a hard question! I think one of the worst things preventing Egypt from getting more tourists is a bad reputation (bad tour guides and companies give guests a bad experience and then these guests tell their friends and family not to visit) combined with people being afraid of “safety”. Even though Egypt is very, very, safe, people still say that it’s a dangerous place to visit 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏼♂️.
Sorry you had a bad experience in Egypt! None of the guests I’ve organized trips for have had anything bad happen, but it makes a huge difference what company or guides you work with. Did you do a solo trip to Egypt, or did you work with a company? I don’t get anything from the Egyptian government, haha! I just love Egypt, and want to help anyone who wants to travel there have a good experience.
I’ve only flown them once, but aside from the 30 minute delay on one flight, both legs of the journey were smooth. Did you have a bad experience on a flight to/from Egypt, or another destination?

No idea, but even I get extra questioning with a US passport at some places once they learn I visited Egypt 🤷🏻♂️
Nice video thanks
My pleasure!
Thanks for the video. Do you know if there will be flights between Luxor and Sphinx airport?
There should be in the future, but as of now I don’t think there are.
Thanks Gus👍
My pleasure!
Another great video! Sorry to be off topic Gus but is Cairo International airport a decent place to buy Euros? I would be paying for them using LE.

@EgyptAdventuresTravel Ok. Does the airport offer a fair exchange rate?
@@Kimten3000 exchange rates are government set-so you’ll get the same rate at any official exchange place.
Make a video about Luxor Airport
What about Luxor Airport should be in the video? LXR is a very straightforward airport, easy to navigate, and it’s been around a long time. Is there something specific you think tourists need to know about Luxor Airport?
Is there public transportation available to airport to downtown
Not that I know of-does anyone know if there are any buses? I know there’s no metro for sure. There may be microbuses or other bus companies that go to SPX.
Which camera did you use to film this video ?
My iPhone 14 Pro Max - I don’t use any professional equipment in Egypt because it may cause issues without the proper permits/permissions.
@@EgyptAdventuresTravel Good video though 😃
Thankfully
Yes, I’m glad it’s up and running
Are you able to get a sim card at the airport in order to have access to the internet and order am Uber?
Yes, SPX has providers who offer local SIM cards.
@@EgyptAdventuresTravelHi Can I please know which simcard available in the airport
@@gitanjaliravichandran9329 I’m not sure, exactly. Most likely Vodafone, Etisalat, and Orange. Maybe We? Does anyone know for sure?
I'm traveling soon where can I get Egypt pounds? Should I bring cash or card
You can buy them at any currency exchange office at the airport or in Egypt, and you can also bring a debit card and pull money from ATMs.

Can’t you just check using the app?
I wasn't able to with the type of ticket I purchased.
How much do you get from egypt gorv? Egypt is horrible country and no laws even i got the house in there.
