Who ever came up with that air driven wiper motor was very talented. That looks like a head scratcher to get apart and then rebuild and reassemble. Awesome job Jake.
I was quite impressed and the amount of times that would have gone back and forth there was very little wear at all. I wasn’t doing much talking because I was trying to figure out how it all worked😂
@ yeah I knew that. Got more patience than Some. Couple of times there I thought it was going for a flying lesson across the workshop or get threatened with the 20lb sledgehammer😂😂😂😂

Hi from the Aussie who lives and works in France, hey great little video,always wondered how those air wind-screen wipers worked,now i know.Don't those old bangers just look "magnifique" ....... You know over here there are no more old trucks,no more old timers,not many drivers here have known a manual gearbox,imust admit after so many years driving this European gear i'd be a bit lost going back to a 13speed coupled to a 6V92TTA,heaven forbid if it was a quad box....as i'm a company driver, i'm not even allowed to change a lightglobe,i got told off the other day for putting air in a flattish tyre,apparently it's not my job (can you believe that ?),yeah times have changed,i was informed the other day that i've gone from 9.8 to 9.5 !!!!!!!,driver performance stuff,i invited the guy to join me at 3am so as that he could show me what i'm doing wrong but low and behold he's not allowed to start work before 9am...dunno is it me or something just aint right ? Oh wow that’s ridiculous I encourage other drivers to check tyres and cary out tasks on their pre trips and every morning it helps drivers understand their truck a lot better! So that’s pretty ridiculous that they wouldn’t let you do that, and the driver score I wouldn’t even begin to understand that I’m sure I’d be lucky to get a 2 the way I go hahaha Cheers mate thanks for watching

There is a company called Prime Composites on the Gold Coast rebuild air wipers and keep kits to do it yourself. Company in Melbourne called Speed Screen do them as well. 🔥
Thanks mate I did try speed screen and they wanted me to send my motors to them and they would repair and send back, I wanted to fix them myself so I knew they were 100%. I didn’t know about the place on the Gold Coast so that’s great to know! Cheers

I’d also like to know the place you got the rebuild kit from. Part numbers too if possible. The truck unit on my White 9000 is beyond just a cleaning and new grease. I tried. I also know I need to rebuild my control valve as well. I couldn’t see the numbers on the bag good enough to get the part numbers. Thanks! Love the videos by the way.

There is a number of different wiper motors so you will have to verify that they are the same as what I purchased as I’m not familiar with the wiper motors on the 9000 Cheers
Hey mate, once the wiper motors are rebuilt they function perfectly again! And in my option you just can’t beat the sound of them it takes away from the character of the truck if they weren’t air, I personally love them!

Speed screen in Melbourne also sell new air wiper motors as well as kits. Air wipers are still in use a lot on trains.
