My best friends brother had a KW very similar to this one , reminds me of the days of hauling hogs and Christmas trees in the winter. His had a 3406 caterpillar though. Thanks Wiley for bringing good memories back for everyone!
I bet he was excited when he got in that truck and moved it!!!!!!!!!!! That truck sounds good and brings back a lot of memories. You are a good man Wiley along with your son for helping with this one. Good video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These beautiful trucks bring me back to the days of old thumping up and down the road with my pops. Great to see it move again. Thank you for jogging up so many great memories of days gone by. She sounds like she wants to work again and get back on the road after her long slumber! I know him pulling her away from that spot in the yard was a great memory of the years he spent behind the wheel and good for you for making it happen not only for him but for his kids too. This truck is the reason I subscribed to your channel those k100s are what started my love of trucks. Thanks for doing stuff like this for thes Old fellas to relive their good memories before they are to old to have the ability to climb up in and move the world again. This is Americana to me. Keep up the good work and I'll see you on the next one.
That was awesome Great job Wiley and Jacob along with the other two with their assistance Looking forward to seeing what you can get into on your next adventure Gods Blessing be with you and your family always
I Ran GMC Forward/ Isuzu COEs for years in my business box tucks. 6000s and 7000s a woman could lift the cab no jack needed. I know weren't near as heavy as a kw or Freightliner. But still a big Chunk of cab. They were balanced or something. Super easy to tilt. I loved them i kept a 1987 6000 250k runs great never had head off nothing internal and i had multiple people driving them. 5 sp wind that sucker like a Detroit 6V71. Built when stuff was made to last no computer junk. Hardly any wires under cab clean and simple.
Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob. It was very interesting and enjoyable to watch. The old kw was hard to start but once it was going ran fairly well. Don’t really understand what the owner wants to do with the old kw. Needs a lot of TLC and I believe mechanical work. Let’s us know what happens please Wiley. Wiley you put a lot of hard work into that one. Hopefully it works out and you. You take care of yourself. Hope your eyes are better. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Great Job wily , I injoy the video , Keep up the great work , Great to see the hole truck take your working on , Nice looking old truck , Great to see it running again
That semi truck was giving you a hard time Wiley, starting it up and moving it. At first I thought, he's gonna need a dozer to get it out of that hole, but you did an excellent job Wiley. Looks like the power steering was not working, hard time turning the truck.
Great truck this is for the condition compared to some of them I’d love to bring that back over to the uk and restore it keep the original engine in it and take it to the truck shows 👌👍
Good job mr wily you had to put little more elbow grease into that to steer it lol nice to see you have it running sounds good I'm be safe out there buddy
willy your still the engine king! i seen a guy pulled head off a stuck engine there a mouse on a top of a piston ,but you pulled a head off there a frog on the piston you win and how a frog get in there is be on me great video
It's nice that you got it running and you got it moving I just hope he actually does something with it instead of it just sitting there and rotting away some more

@@DontbeWily Yes Sir! it's too hot to do anything right now , out here in Vegas we are getting around 120 degrees by 4 pm. I'm glad he is doing something with her that truck has some soul to it. You do some great work on here as well good sir! thank you for your UA-cam service.
Those old Cummins have a thumb screw on the top of the pump you screw them in it overrides the fuel solenoid we use to screw them in and kick start them without batteries. That truck would not take much to put back in service.
You need a little electric fuel pump to blead the system you pull the fuel from a port near the pump or filters and return it to the tank or a can lot truck have a spare out port blocked off you can tap into thst most of the time it a lot easier doing it like that instead of winding over to get fuel up and saves the starter motor to
You may want to reach out to FSC Trucking on UA-cam as he runs a cab over called Orwell for regular transport and he works it all the time and he might be interested in purchasing this truck. Also Chad Keegan who also has a UA-cam channel he runs cab overs for regular transport as well and he is out on the road and runs his truck all over the states. Cheers.
