This was a very useful video. I pulled the relay and inserted my multimeter probes and it showed 11.05 V versus the half volt that was shown on your video. So I decided just to clean the contacts on the relay and push it back in. When I did that, the high beams are working once again. So I would suggest, as a first rule of thumb, is pull out a relay, or perhaps a fuse, and push it back in and then see if it works. sometimes a slight coating of corrosion or a film of one sort, or another, can hamper the flow of electrons.
Thanks for this video. Do you know if the 2012 Rav4 model uses the same relay set up under the steering column? My Rav4 last week lost its daytime driving lights. This morning I turned on the high beam, it worked. A car came down the road towards me and I turned them off. They never came back on after that! The blue High beam light works in the dash to I am pretty sure the switch up there is good. Also, is this a Toyota only part? Thanks for any help!
Mine is 1999Toyota Corollla, when I switch to start the DRL is on headlight lights on however after few seconds it goes off , I tried to switch on the headlight to high and low has no lights and the passenger side park light is off, however hazard and signal lights are functioning could be the DRL relay is defective ? auto shop is charging me 600 bucks to fix this problem, need your advice.
Well my 2009 vibe high beam on the right side doesn't come on at all but all the rest of the lights that comes i drive on dim lights at night what seems to be the problem
My high beams work intermittently. When I go over a bump it may cause the high beams to come on or flicker. Then another bump may cause them to go off. Sometimes they'll work for a long time, sometimes not....recently more often it's that they don't work. Any ideas where the "loose connection" might be?
Hello there , I have a corolla 09 smelled a burning smell coming from under dash do u think its module ive checked fuses and relay 50 seems fairly good. I had put in led 6000k lights.for aboit 3 months then this happened. Any suggestions.
It sounds like you burned out your Daytime Running Lights Relay. Very expensive part. If the car was not built to run LED lights, then chances are you should not have installed them. Unless you have some kind of resistors connected with your LED's. You can ask your dealership if there is a different daytime running lights relay that can support your 6000k LED's. But to tell you the truth, I would go back to running the stock lights.
Ok, open your fusebox cover. There will be 2 grey boxes in the front. (one light grey, one dark grey). Above that should be 3 fuses, two red ones and one pail blue. Ok, next turn on your car. Your lights should come on automatically. Now with a fuse puller (or needle-nose pliers) remove the red 10 amp fuse to the left ( this should be the driver's side low beam). Inspect the fuse and make sure you see a squiggly wire on the fuse. If it looks like a squiggly line is cut, then that indicates that the fuse is blown. Replace it with a new red 10 amp fuse. Then put the new fuse back. Also, check the fuse next fuse to the right ( red 10 amp fuse of the one you just pulled. Same thing check to see if that's blown as well. ( this fuse should be your passenger side low beam fuse). Now turn off your car. Then start it up and check to see if this solves your problem. Make sure when you put the fuses back, that they fit snug and pushed down.
So the one relay on the underside is the running daytime, and the 2 on top are the headlights and high beams?.. both on top were working correctly and the one on the bottom wasn't. Is this correct?
i got this problem at first and them i u jump + from baterry to head relay socket dont remember which one . but now i dont have both light . but when i jump 2 slot wire from the relay it got the light on . but cant turn off when use the switch . how do i fix this

Any idea the part # for this? I have tried to look it up every way I can think of but only come up with the relay, not the module.

What is the part name exactly? I need to order one probably but don’t know what to say. Thank you you’re awesome

check your fuses under the hood and make sure they are properly seated correctly.
Check if the globe is fitted in properly

2007 Corolla left low beam not working and it's not the bulb!

Most of the times, for Corolla, "Low Light not working" is not for the fuse blowout. But for "Combination Switch" not working.

Correct
That was so helpful. Thank you so much. I'm glad I found your clip. BTW, was that a voltmeter you used?
