Thank you 100 times over. All my headlights are working now. I had checked one set of fuses for the high beams did not realize I had another set for the low beams. I got info the wiring trying to find a break where non existed. Just got to re protect the wires and my car is back in action.
I've got a curly 1 for you. Both my high and low beam wont turn off when key is removed from ignition, went to an auto sparky, he couldn't diagnose it and put in a by-pass switch. Any ideas ? relay seems to be ok.
@@toddpfeiffer5701 I tested the relay for continuity supplying power from the battery and listening for the click, continuity was shown on the multi meter as ok. Istarted checking for issues in the under das fuse box and a drop of water fell onto my and " crap " on opening the fuse box i found a resistor had burned out and come away from the board, I got a replacement board from the wreckers but it needs reprogramming to my Ecm,
It actually ending up being a small switch within the turn signal “wand”/arm that was not making a good contact. Idk if I mentioned it at the end of the video, but I got it to work, but I kind of broke the plastic clip that holds the switch in place. I mean it works, but it can come off when using the turn signal. I ended up replacing the whole turn signal arm a year later (I recorded this video 2 years ago). But thanks for the suggestion!
@@dbash2004 yes, there can be an underlying cause. It can be because of faulty wiring due to an electrical short. So, the electrical short can cause an excess of electrical current through the system; therefore, it will blow the fuse.
This can also be due to random vibrations from your car too. Further underlying cause could be worn out motor mounts. If the motor mounts are worn, then the engine will rattle the car a lot more. This can potentially loosen connections or possibly flex connections. But I would say most of the time, it would be due to old/corroded wires… rather than vibrations. But it should not be neglected from the root cause.
Highly detailed, well narrated, and timestamped. That deserves a sub 😯
i kept watching just to see if you could put that shit back together. great troubleshooting, bummer results.

So….. I think I might have the same problem. Great video!
Thanks for your explanation only one who shows all systems and it really helps me to figure out what the problem is. It was ground
Great troubleshooting..thanks for the video!!
Just wondering. Did both globes light up with high beams before you had this issue?
pls make a vid on how to conect fog light so tursignal so the fogs turn on when the turnsignal bulb is on
This is a K I C K - A S S V I V E O ! ! ! Thank you for all your help.
I have 06 camry...high beams work low beams don't....looks like the fact that the high beams work rules out the relay?
My headlight relay keeps blowing about every 3 or 4 months. Please help!

sounds like your relay is stuck open. id try replacing the relay and see what happens.

@@markinnam6991great! Can you send a pic of WHERE the relay is located? Thx
@@toddpfeiffer5701 tried to do so using the email shown, but it says , please enter a valid email address ?
@@toddpfeiffer5701 to where do I send it ?
Excellent thought process with your troubleshooting. Engineer away! By the way, how much did you end up paying for the assembly?
It was around $100
Try the relay that connects to the turn sign. That should fix it.

If the fuse is blown there's a reason for it no? Changing the fuse is fine so long as it is not going to happen again

I have a problem on my 2000 Camry. When I press on the break, the low beam front light turns on.
Sounds like the wrong type of tail light bulb was forced into the socket. I had that happen on my Delta 88 Royale.
