    Aakyat ba ng Baguio ang BYD Atto 3? In terms of power, definitely. But what about in terms of range? Let's see if the BYD Atto 3 can reach Baguio city on a single charge.

    If you are pointing something on a car, please remind your camera man to point the camera also. Because WE CANT SEE ANYTHING! Your the only one who can see.

    Fantastic car review with thorough explanations! Just a small suggestion: it would be even better if the cameraman could follow your gestures when you're pointing out features on the car. This way, viewers can fully appreciate your perspective and get a closer look at what you're highlighting. Keep up the great work!

      Thanks for the suggestion. We were not able to bring our videographer for this shoot. We had to ask a favor from a friend lang haha! We're still super grateful though.

    Mas malayo pa range nyan kung easy ka lang sa acc, same thing sa hybrid. Kaya mas economical kung city driving both ev and hybrid, pag sa freeway mas kaunti ang range so maganda ito sa mga nagwowork around metro manila.

    Going down from Baguio, you will use more brakes. EV’s have regenerative braking. It means the range is higher than what it displays.

    The answer to your opening question is No, unless you want range anxiety. The safest way up to Baguio is to charge to 100% at Shell La Union so there will be no problems.

      I’m sure it will by the a few kilometers. I drove to Baguio but topped up at
      La Union thinking I will be ok to charge in SM but the chargers in SM and Ayala were off line so I had to make do in eco mode while in Baguio. My car has 80 kWh but 77 useable.

    Can BYD address their issues abroad like in HK and even in their home country China where there are lots of news on their vehicles having a spontaneous combustion? Their vehicles catch fire at parking basements and even in their own dealerships? They have had 10 showroom fires since 2021 with 1 in Fujian as the most recent.

    • @reefmint
      @reefmint 11 днів тому +3

      Byd spontaneous combustion only happens in tabloid news website and channels. That hasn’t happened in real life yet. I don’t think companies should address gossips.

    Why ask(referring to the title) you're "anxious" about it? So there's Range Anxiety, then Charging Anxiety then Maintenance Anxiety then Resell Anxiety. Will stick to Petrol for now.

    • @dlagazo
      @dlagazo Місяць тому +3

      Because that's what the video answers. It showed how fast the charging is, where it is. Maintenance anxiety? How many times do they say that there are less moving parts to maintain?
      The only anxiety you seem to have is Mistake Anxiety. Like, what if I made a mistake? How do I dump this thing? Who do I dump it to?
      The people who will buy this are in for the long run, like maxing its warranty and recouping the cost through savings (not through reselling it at an advantage). Most likely those who have surplus solar energy at home or have feed in credits that should be used.

    sa infrastracture ng pilipinas ngayon. obvious na hindi ka makakapag layo layo talaga pag EV. imagine from manila ATA to baguio ung shell sa rosario lang ata ung fast charging. Imagine pa kung 100EV kayong lahat mag chacharge tas ganon lang kakonti charging station tag 55 mins anak ng kamote apakatagal nian. what if you want to go to ilocos or pa south din. dun sa mga liblib na lugar , hindi pa pang EV infra ng pinas. sad to say.

    rich people will not buy that. They want to worry less on their vacation. Thats only for the ones who are adventurous enough to try something different. Hybrids are the best for now in the country.

    I do not know which planet you are living on , I have BYD with 60 KW battery pack In Australia it does not even come close what you just said. It has a WLTP range of 420 KM , however in reality it will do 330 KM from 100% to 0% , There are already videos of people doing Melbourne to Sydney ( charge 5 times ) , Bisrbane to Sydney ( charge 4 times ) , my 2 cents It is good car however the battery pack for Australia should have been 80 to 90 KW , thast would put the usable range to 450 KM pluse 10% battery left .

    • @KyleLiongCars
      @KyleLiongCars  21 день тому +1

      What do you mean? We never said that it can actually do 480 Km of range.... that's why we tested it out haha. The claimed range for the local PH units are at 480 Km

  • @jaredgalvin
    @jaredgalvin Місяць тому +2

    This begs the question, is EV really more economical than ICE?.. in the Philippines with the highest electricity cost in Asia?
    This EV has 60kWh battery and will cost around 2k Pesos (based on 35/kw) for it to go up Baguio with remaining 10%ish battery capacity,
    while a regular ICE vehicle can only cost a little above 1k Pesos to do the same trip.
    EV doesn't seem to be for the Philippine market, at least for a regular Filipino.

    • @Mikster2006
      @Mikster2006 Місяць тому +2

      Why would you charge 60kWh worth from a DC charger? You can charge at home up to 100% where electricity is only 11-13 pesos per kWh. Then you top up to 80% at Shell Rosario enough to get around Baguio. Choose a hotel with a free 7kWh destination charger and top up to a 100% overnight. Head down and regenerate a few percent, then recharge again at Shell Rosario if you want, to get you back to Manila without any worry.

    • @goonie2740
      @goonie2740 Місяць тому +1

      I think if you’re charged 100% in Baguio you don’t need to charge if you live in Metro Manila. It’s the going up that will give you range anxiety if you don’t top up at shell La Union.

    • @goonie2740
      @goonie2740 Місяць тому +1

      EVs are currently not for the ordinary Filipino. Wait maybe 3 years when battery technology improves that EVs will make a compelling case. The game is all about the batteries which unfortunately the Chinese lead the world.
