It is a review of an EV. Why no details on its range (under specific driving conditions) and charging capabilities? More importantly, the AC charging speed, as AC charger terminals are more common and there is one at the car park near where I lived.
Good point! The claimed range is 420 km. Charging times are 9 hours 30 minutes at 6.6kW AC and 1 hour 12 minutes / 80kW DC. Pinning your comment to the top for reference!
I own an atto3, daily sg drive gets me 390km, when I travel NS highway at 150kmph I yeild 330km BYD Blade battery has proven it's worth. Many other brand with Li-ion battery dont get you even half the range at higher speed E.g My MG ZsEV got me 200km range at full charge on 120kmph drive.. very very bad
The AC charging on this is super duper slow, same for the Seal, because it has been shortchanged to have only single phase on board charging. This means if u plug in the more commonly found 11kw and 22kw, u can only get 7kw and slower of charging power......which is excruciatingly slow. This means if u need a full charge and work late and come back around 11+, and u need to go out in the morning at 6+, u wont get a full charge. This also means less flexibility when u go out as 1hr+ AC charging is almost doing sh1t difference for your battery %
@@MrChiaSG Thanks for your reply. Is it an official option? I really want this but i'm not in singapore. Is it available to buy from oversea? thank you
Have a couple questions, could you elaborate a bit more on whether to choose standard or high regenerative braking? It's my first time buying an EV. Also, what's the projected trade-in value for EVs in Singapore after 5 years with say 50k mileage?
Good question! The Dolphin does feel smaller, and many people prefer paying a little more for the Atto 3 after trying them back to back. If you ask me, the Dolphin is more a rival to the ORA Goodcat (check out our video on that!)
Great question! The WLTP average is 420 km. Local testers have gotten better energy consumption figures than the LTA’s ratings, so the consensus seems to be that >400 km from full to flat seems to comfortably achievable

Get the hybrid car , it save much more time then charging. It's cost likely a little bit more factoring in road tax for ev Vs ice car. In conclusion , ice car are cheaper in insurance in road tax
HDB ground floor flat dwellers with car park lots close to their beloved home would rejoice if more people switch to ev.😊 (regardless of brand) By the way, all ev brands are trustworthy if you have trust in our LTA which has been doing a good job🎉.
That same colour scheme is available in 2024 version, but with the better Continental tyres instead of Batman, "BYD" instead of full-spelling, and all the software updates that was a problem in 2023 i'm not mistaken. I was just at the BYD showroom in Singapore yesterday, just reference the 2024 ATTO 3 Standard version will do.
BYD should take reference from Chery in terms of design. Currently it's just buying the market with pricing. Also, Vantage has terrible salespeople, criticising other automakers is definitely in bad taste.
i have gotten used to the habit of keeping my car above 30% charge (no need 100%, though it is good to do so if opportunity arises). So there is no issue of range for me. My daily mileage is about 60 km. If you have chargers in the public carpark of your flat, or chargers in your condor/EC carpark, or in your own private house, there will be no issue of range. Even hospitals and airport have chargers. The range of ATTO3 is ok in SG context. My wish list for the car maker byd is: 1. Keep up the innovation. Keep on improving the battery in terms of range and safety. 2. While byd upgrading future batteries, it also strives to make each new version of battery 100% compatible to the existing cars so that when existing car owners are willing to upgrade their battery they can do so, at a very affordable cost. This rewards those who embrace the car early also encourages future buyers. 3. Byd strives to make their batteries approach 100% recyclable. Good for the environment and also lower the cost of battery replacement. Hope someone can help pass my sincere feedback to byd maker.❤

Does this car have ventilated seats or cooled seats ?
In Singapore, it doesn’t. Does anyone know about other markets?
Even in Nepal's market, it doesn't have it
Only in China 3rd party workshops that are savvy with electriccars carry the vent seats. Originally this does not have it.. sadly
