This is the kind of "practical" test distance drive that is valuable.
That was the plan. I hope you found it useful 🙂
@@testdriveph I did! Subscribed :)
6:20 P35 per KWH on these Charging Stations, but only P12 per KWH from Meralco
Of course Charging Stations is more expensive. They offer "peace of mind" that we can travel without the worry.
Perspective (City Driving): Gasoline is about P65 / Liter. Average cars can do 8~10km per Liter (best case), or P6.5~P8.0 per KM.
ATTO3 can do ~5KM per 1KWH (worse case) which translates to P2.4 per KM (Meralco), or P7.00 per KM (charging station).
Ty for the computation. My thoughts are for this trip to baguio. If you can get to the free fast charger sa SM Baguio then you save a lot of time and money, otherwise it's nearly the same if you were using a petrol car.
If one had a atto 3 at home in metro manila and was able to charge at home, that person will probably be very happy for not needing to worry about range anxiety.
For folks unable to do so like those who live sa condo, they have a bigger challenge but just like in baguio, get to a fast charger and you're good to go.
Its a different style of mobility for sure
@@testdriveph Another POV:
With as little as P200K, I can hire a pro to install solar at home and get free electricity for house and EV charging.
But no one can install an Oil Refinery at home even if he spends P100M.
And with USA pushing for war, Oil shortage is a possibility.
35 pesos per kw too expensive at mabagal pa mag charge.
Nice to see the video up. Thanks for short chat in Starbucks CJH. Nice car!
Uy hello sir, glad to see you here, txs so much, maybe I'll see u in baguio again. Tc!
This review is a breath of fresh air! Thanks sir for sharing your exp with this car. 👌
Glad you liked it! Ty and pls consider subscribing 🙂
Eheads got it right, magdradrive ako hanggang bicol...
Bicol, or manila to bicol is the ultimate question for EVs in ph. Baguio is a short distance.
Alanganin if d pwede mag charge somewhere pero pag meron na. Shouldn't be a problem :).
I am waiting for the BYD Seagull. and I will do my own vlog of that car
Wow, thank you po. This is the real test we have been waiting for. Since mostly, pag Baguio, madalas, loaded ang car ng gamit at pasahero, more so, pasalubong pag uuwi na
Glad you found ituseful 👍 , only thing to remember I think is to always have plenty of charge and the SM Quick charger or CJH is key Para ma maximize ang range. Everything else the Atto 3 has no problem 😊
@reefmint started 68% and no eco mode. But yes Kaya naman pag full charge which is what I did going back to manila 😊@reefmint
@@reefmint I beg to differ. I actually think its much more "real world" that I started with only about 68% or whatever other than fully charged. Simply because not all people will have a full charge then go to baguio, they have errands to do, or maybe they forgot to charge etc. I also wanted to show how the fast charger in La Union works. The whole "not fully charged" trip was exactly how I wanted it. It would be too easy to just go to Baguio on one full charge (which is again, I did on the way back). Ty for the comment.
@@reefmint Not really, check the comments down below. Some folks appreciate this more "practical" approach, how you would do it, is not the same as others. Plus it's important that people know that just in case they DO experience range anxiety during their trip to baguio, they have the La Union option :) to help them out.
Sure I was driving downhill, that was kenon. what did you expect? This review wasn't all to just prove the technology works and help sell more EVs here in the country. It's me driving as I normally would , on a not so fully charged EV, checking out the charging experience & saying my honest opinions on the car. That's as real as it gets.
@@reefmint Nah, I'm good :) ty.
good review, got my atto 3 last week
Glad you liked it, grats on the new ride
thanks, i got the premium glacier white@@testdriveph
Sir, can you share your experience when it comes to long drive with fully loaded baggages and passengers
@@wallybambasi Power wise, no issues. Tons of power, space wise, its fairly similar to the other ICE cross overs. ADAS is great. Very relaxing drive to baguio tbh.
How much is the total cost if you don't mind? Thanks.
Thank you so much. Such helpful information! Can you do a test drive during a heavy traffic flow?
You're welcome! Glad you liked it. I did drive on a "regular" day when I returned it. OK nmn. A/C is good, audio system is great.
🤩👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Kya naman talaga Nyan..hinihintay ko yung actual test Kung kya ba sa baha nyan..nasa pinas tayo 😂
Mahal nung charge ng charging station
1400pesos÷300km is 4.66pesos per km
Diesel @55pesos : 1400÷55pesos per Liter=25.45liter×10km per liter= 254km
Halos magkaparehas lang
Sana maglagay ang company maraming FAST charging stations especially sa mga expressways para wala problema sa long drive....
This is true. I've heard a lot plans but of course that remains to be seen. Those are key
@@testdrivephSir mgkano nmn ang Charge pag mag papa full charge ka.. sa mga Charging Station.. ndi kaya mag mamahal din sya pag tagal tagal at madami ng gmagamit ng EV..
@@roelrobols2911 so its P35 per kwh. Thats different from say sa gas which we pay per liter. So depends on where you start. For now, you can charge your electric car for free sa mga mall..just like I did sa sm baguio. So free na sya pauwi. But when you look overall if kailagan mo tlg mag charge and you end up paying. Hindi nagkakalayo sa expense
Thank you very much for your very informative video. I intend to get an Atto 3 but I just have one question. It's timely because it's summer now and it's very hot. As an electric car that depends only on electricity, does it have no problem keeping the air conditioner cool and strong like ICE cars? Thanks a lot.
Hi, I'm glad you liked it! No, the A/C is very, very good on the Atto 3.
That's great! Thank you very much for the prompt response. I really appreciate it. I would also like to review the Atto 3 once I have used it for some time to help those who are thinking of buying it. Again, thank you very much.😊
Hi. Perfect video that I was looking for. But I got a question, can we turn on the air conditioner while charging? Not just the blower fan but the cool mode in the car's air conditioner? For example while charging the car I'll either sleep first inside or do some work with my laptop for hours etc.
I'm not entirely sure but a quick search is yes you can. Although your charging will be much slower and the folks on the parking (for example sa SM) they require you to be out of the car.
6:55 Foo Fighters!!! 🤘
Yes!
That's what's not being mentioned about the estimated range which is at what speed should you be to get close to the max range.
I get what you mean, and I agree it would be very useful. Maybe if on the air software updates that might just be possible 🙂
lifestyle for the rich and famous OFWs......
buti nakadaan ka sa kenon sir diba me ginagawa?thanks
May mga gngw pero at the time ok naman.
Should have charged it full para malaman kung kaya talaga straight without charge.
There's another video of that from other creators :) I wanted to demonstrate the fast charger. And yes kayang Kaya on one go.
How many percent of the 80 did you use up going up Baguio from Shell Rosario? Thanks!
I think around 20 percent but we did stop a ton of times to film the car
pagkadating nyo b dyan s charging station d nb klangan palamigin ng konti o ipahinga yung battery bago icharge dyan s station or pwede n agad icharge pagkadating?
No need po. Charge kagad.
On your test drive the ev is not that heavy but what if medyo maraming dalang cargo o passenger? , what's the experience?
Car has a ton of torque and honestly ive tried it fully loaded perfectly fine
how about the Airconditioning??
It's pretty good
I noticed you did not try using the portable charger? It should work on ordinary power outlets right?
Yes and No. It will work on ordinary power. However, your outlet needs to be dedicated and have enough current. BYD would be happy to assist with that :)
@@testdriveph it sounds useless if you ask me. When youre away from home, where in the philippines can you find an ordinary outlet that is grounded? Its not that common.
True..Welcome to EV life I'm afraid PH style, which is why planning routes and knowing where to charge is key.... a lot of folks don't charge for a whole week and a fast charger takes 40 minutes to charge. Lastly, actual owners of this have definitely upgraded their home electricity err setup. It's a technology for the few atm but growing bigger and better all the time
@@testdriveph i agree and well said. I myself is not bothered by that. But as much as I want others to feel the same, EV manufacturers should atleast make their portable chargers work seamlessly
Pa compare nmn po yung pms ng byd compare sa mga di gasolina at diesel
Good question may event next week with BYD owners and I'll be sure to ask
Did it gain range/power nung pababa na siya ng Baguio?
Does it have regenerative braking?
Yes but very very low effect on range
How much is the cost in Peso to full charge it at home?
That's a pretty complicated computation, I'm afraid, kasi your kwh depends on your monthly usage etc etc. What I've been told is generally you pay around 1 peso per km. Best to ask the electric car users group sa fb :)
how much cost is the battery replacement for byd atto 3 extended range ?
battery is 8 years warranty if I'm correct
Yes sir! Ty boss
Kung may generator kang dala sa car puede ba yon
Haha I guess if that car has enough current then lagyan ng gas yung generator? Hehe yeah that might work
Kumusta naman kaya reliability ng byd? Sana di masunog.
Haha. I hope not. We'll have to wait and see. Most important is how BYD PH respond if a problem arises. But at least it's back by Ayala and at least investments are there
palitan mga .. diesel cars .. hilux , rangers.. .. mas maganda talaga EV..
puro ka english
haha.... oo nga
Made in bullychina
Like pretty much all stuff, deal with it
Lol
