    Thank you for the good video! I've just put a large pot of Cymbidium in the house, which has 8 flower stalks, with up to 17 flowers! The pot was outside for a long time, only some direct sun in the morning! Rain also regularly, but not too much! Just lovely !

    I have used this method, on advice from another UA-cam channel, and it definitely works but can be drying to the orchid. (I struggle with humidity to my plants in my home.). I used a further dilution, pouring about 4ozs of the same cinnamon water to more water to equal a liter. There are feed and vitamin properties from this method as well. Thank you for your video!! The other site recommended watering in that way once a month. They do the same with Turmeric, in the same amounts. Organic is awesome, as plants develop tolerances to chemical treatments. 🥰👏🏻👍🤗💯💯❤️

    I'm not totally an organic for the sake of organic person. But it's hard to use chemicals indoors with orchids and houseplants many times because of fumes and so on. An amazing revelation I've found is nowadays there are modern horticultural oil products which of course are organic that are simply amazing. Why are they better than ones a hundred years ago? They are made with extremely low molecular weight oil that ends up largely evaporating instead of leaving a gross film on the plant. So it right away chokes and kills pests including mites which even the harshest chemicals can struggle with and then just evaporates away. I one I tried from amazon is made I think from some extract of corn oil with a surfactent you just mix in water and it looks like milk and you spray it on everything. They say it's so safe you can drink it. I think it's called growsafe or gro safe. Instantly took care of my horrible mite problem indoors. And best of all no fumes or chemicals to worry about or sticky film on the leaves or burns from light sensitivity. I bet there are lots of other products like this.
    I've also tried another natural product, oggliosaccarid chitosan which is supposed to be antifungal and bacterial preventing root rot and so on. You mix a tiny amount in warm water to dissolve it and put with the normal water you water plants. I've notice moderate success with low dosages of 200mg per gallon/4liters. Maybe the success has been better but I can't tell because I repotted about 35-40 new orchids I bought into new medium and notice die off of some old roots but I don't know if thats from damage repotting or adjusting to tree fern from bark. But there is a lot of new vigorous root growth in all but maybe 3-5 plants that is viewable through the clear pots. Nothing died or is has gotten worse everything is pushing new growth. So at the very least I would say safely a moderate success to be conservative.

      We choose organic mostly because its better for nature and having a balanced economy system but difficult for some indoor growers. I will try add those products to our amazon store. Thanks

      you can use the garlic once a week for the first month to help boost the plant and then pull back . Now it is just making sure the cymbidium is in the right position for it to grow healthily 😍

    ❤Thanks for the tips , is there anything else /other advice when pots are over grown , , they usually thrive quiet well living outside in a area of southern Australia? Some get alot of sun and heat while on elevated steps ,yet others are shaded from late afternoon sun and don't seem to flower as well , 🤷

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes it is probably the temperature differences that the ones that get the sun for more hours and the more photosythesis they can do that helps them flower better . You can check this video and there are a few others if you check through our UA-cam videos .

    Hello!! I have learned a lot from your videos. Thank you. Could you tell me why some buds of my cymbidiums die before opening the little flowers. I opened a bud pocket because I saw it with some spots from the inside and when I opened it all the little flowers that were growing fell and inside there was something sticky and brown, also that in some areas of the floral stem when I removed the cover that they have. 😢😢 so I don't know if it's a bacteria or a plague. I hope you help me. Thank you 🎉❤

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  Рік тому +3

      Thank you . there are several reasons you plant may be aborting the flowers . For cold flowering cymbiduims if there is a sudden warm spell this can cause the buds to abort and start going yellow and they will be rotting inside. Overwatering at this point can also cause bacterial rot . I will try and make a video soon that might help you identify better what your problem may be

    A newbie to your channel. I was so intrigued by your organic approach and care for orchids. My wife is starting an orchid collection from scratch. She bough Baby Cymbidiums from an Amazon seller. It came almost dried up and very tiny. We used your organic method, Garlic water and it worked at first. Now they're dying, I learned it's due to our water here in Las Vegas (softened water). Can we use bottled water or distilled water? Rain water is hard to get in this part of the country. Please help! AcDc

      the media should be moist already when you plant them up and then you withhold water for around the first 4 weeks unless the environment is too hot and dry .

      are you over watering ? you may have caused rot by over watering or having a clogged old media which is not draining . this is the first place to look .

    Hello dear, what is your advice? I have rotten roots from overwatering and the soil does not dry out quickly. I used to water every day. If you could please advise me on how to get rid of the rotten roots so that the plant can absorb the elements and water, I am one of those who use natural fertilization. Thank you, dear. I await your response.

    I've just made garlic-cinnamon mixture with epsom salt for my cymbidium orchid, but I'm afraid it might be infected with a sort of virus. Fingers crossed it will be enough to sort it out. Thank you

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  7 місяців тому

      i am not sure of the chemical reaction that will take place between the magnesium sulphate and the allicin from the garlic and viral infections are near impossible to treat . It would be best to have it identified as a viral infection and then if it is destroy the plant as it will infect all the other plants in your collection . 🫂

    I may have cymbidiums with CMV. It is recommended that I discard them. Any way to salvage them?

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  9 місяців тому

      You can try remove one of the very new off shoots and keep it separated from all your other plants and grow it on in the hopes it is virus free with treating it as it is removed with every antiviral you can get your hands on like garlic , ginger and lemon juice as well as any chemical ones you can find . This is just a hope and pray scenario . The balance of the plant must be discarded as if any sucking insect moves from this plant to another it will pass the virus on ... some of the researchers have been able to get virus free plants from doing meristematic tissue culture but even then it is not 100%
