- I edited all the bits of the interview Derek Taylor did with George Harrison for the release of the Anthology 3 CD and video release, in August 1996, the last interview any of the Beatles did regarding the Anthology project. Here are all the George parts edited together. Sadly, he was the one with less minutes on camera of the three. There's a cool moment with Paul regarding George's demo of While My Guitar, as his favorite version. Enjoy!
I believe George would have been the coolest one to have a conversation with…
I can listen to him all day.
must confess,i love this man!!!
We all do!
I loved him since 1963, him and his other pals! 🚶♂️🚶♂️🚶♂🚶
Who doesn't???
same here, literally no one like him in the world before or since
@@guidedbyvoices23 very true!
I love when George quotes songs to prove his points. From what Ive seen he mainly quoted Beatles and Dylan songs when he wanted to get his message across. Life flows on within you and without you. We miss you George.
There are 2 types of human beings on Earth...the "animal" human and the spiritually evollving human....one is mortal...the other is divine...chose your identity wisely..your whole future depends on it!
It's funny george mentions how he gets annoyed when people don't get or completely miss the joke. There are countless times from old footage where George makes a fantastic joke and it goes over everyone's heads. Lol. He was always so far ahead of everyone else.
He was on a talk show with Ringo in the 80s and Ringo mentions "you were so much younger then" and George, without missing a beat, slips in "I'm older than that now" which is an inversion of the famous Dylan lyric. Nobody caught it!
@@rhythmdroid That's amazing lol
@@LeviBulger It's here on UA-cam, I think the show was called Aspel and Co. Enjoy!
@@rhythmdroid made me think of the exact same thing reading the top comment of this thread
He presented himself as more evolved, and was a bit self absorbed. It's not that people missed the jokes or the punchlines completely, it just seemed that he was waiting for recognition, and people withheld it.
I could listen to George's words or lyrics literally all day long - everyday...there's always Something meaningful to hear.
He was so such a very special person. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You was so handsome George. A unforggatable man.
Everyone loves George 💟💟💟💟💟💟. I miss him! A kind, talented and gentle soul.
Good interview by Derek Taylor. We lost him the year later 1997.
Excellent backdrop. relaxing. meditative...❤
He had more talent than given credit for!
The world has a huge need of His wisdom ❤
Georges voice is so soothing ❤
He has so many good qualities. Thank you.
FABULOUS George miss him ❤
Rip George Harrison we still miss you
I hope he’s one of the souls I meet in heaven.
I Me Mine is my favourite Beatles song.
I got it straight away.
I wish there was a whole reel of footage from when they're chatting in Abbey Road
I’m sure there is. They probably have about an hour or so of them in the studio listening to takes, and they just used a few minutes of the footage for the bonus features
Genius George.
I didn't laugh at Polythene pam but I got the joke. It's just such good music you are getting barraged with that really loud bass guitar, and those harmonies. That album sounds so crisp and fresh even today.
Great song" Polythene Pam" and I do love that thick Liverpudlian accent John puts on!
I totally understand what he's saying and more of us need to "wake up"
love george's look here
He looks so cool ❤
I've been trying to find the "While my Guitar" bit with Paul for ages, thank you!
Tommy Habib got your back!
And Paul's right about that acoustic version, it's awesome. I like it every bit as much as the Clapton one. I only wish that George had re-recorded the acoustic version, on one of his later albums. But, I'm thankful it's on the Anthology. It's 'gentler', than the White Album cut, it has an added verse and a different vibe. Both, are great songs, though.
Fantastic, have never seen this before
Love this man. 💕
Precious ❤Thank you‼️
George was always hot as hell and his personality made him even better looking. So attractive. Just delicious.
The world is better for him........I hope we can keep faith with him and follow his example . Love and peace to his family and friends ...we miss him but still he shines . X mark in surrey
The man had it all.

He talks like a Buddhist (I know he wasn't, but he was obviously acquainted with it because of his own spiritual path) and is completely at ease. It's all delivered in Cool Scouse Dad mode, too. Brilliant.
Wonderful comment, thank you.
He was more of a Vaisnava. A very good friend to the Hare Krishnas. But Buddhism split off of Hinduism, so there is a lot of similarity. 😎
I am intermittent guitar player.....11 years playing.... I tried to do do some of George's slide work...Holy Shit it was freaking hard to capture his sound....So I just gave up ...I was not even close
Very good. I hadn't seen this in awhile. It's very, 'George'. 😎Ty.
It'd be better to have just George's audio instead of music playing on the other channel at the same time.
Agreed.
0:06 The Beatles have sold more albums his year than they did in any year in the Sixties.
💛
George quoting Bob Dylan is the best.
Wow I love you George I want to do yoga with you you are one cool dude 😎 I love your hair miss you 🎸
Harrison as the Dude...in a rickshaw apparently!
it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this judgment:
Is his seat a Crackerbox Palace reference?
What George says about Polythene Pam really tickled me. I must say I've always laughed my groovin' ass off to it but that whole B-side of Abbey Road was a bit mystifying to me as I was young
It was mostly Paul!
I got it, I did.
George talking about life by quoting Dylan. Yup. Sounds about right. :)
I also have to let everyone know that the guy interviewing him is Derek Taylor, their longtime press guy.
Hari Krishna!

I gotta read the book.....What George Harrison knew...author ____Chopra
Where would these videos have appeared originally? Thanks.
Punch Drunk Sports the beatles anthology dvd box set.....
The movie, the long and winding road
They were released as na EPK for the Anthology 3 CD. It was shown on television back in August 1996.
why is he in a pram?

I'd say about 80% of their jokes go well over and above most Americans heads and some English people. To say that people don't get northern humour especially glib scouse humour would be a massive understatement
