      In my eyes, indisposed
      In disguises no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
      The sun in my disgrace
      Boiling heat, summer stench
'Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I'll hear you scream again
      Black hole sun
      Won't you come
      And wash away the rain
      Black hole sun
      Won't you come
Won't you come (won't you come)
      Stuttering, cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
And sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes, a walking sleep
And my youth I pray to keep
      Heaven sent hell away
No one sings like you anymore
      Black hole sun
      Won't you come
      And wash away the rain
      Black hole sun
      Won't you come
      Won't you come
      Black hole sun
      Won't you come

    • @angelhouse24
      @angelhouse24 4 роки тому +15

Johan Cruz odd tidbit- IIRC, both Chris & Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park) hanged themselves with an Exercise Band. Also IIRC, Cheater’s death had some suspicion around it, like broken ribs and bruising/etc.
Either way, a true tragedy to have lost so many talented men and women that all helped shape the industry and world of music in general.

He totally just understood how to make amazing music. The way he started off slow, and we know Stern Show is early in the morning so you see him as a pro take it easy the first few notes to make sure his voice was optimal for this performance and the more he saw that he had his full range behind his voice he knew exactly when to crescendo and hit those higher notes, that man didn't deserve the way he went out. RIP. Awesome Performance.

Paulina ..you're beautiful ....Pleased to meet you..do you know my name? hahah Beware of strangers. I am sorry that I missed a chance to go see Chris in my home town when he did a concert here a few years ago. The more I see and hear of him the more impressive he is to me. Knowing now what happened to him and listening to this song ..and how he wrote it at 4:00 a.m. in a car .....you can feel and see his pain ...Black hole sun ...won't you come and wash away the rain....its like he is singing from an abyss way deep in his soul...at the end trying to make the sadness go away. Inspiring the fight to free oneself from Depression. I think he is free now. RIP

Man, I miss this music. I wish they would do a "best early 90's rock" reunion tour. Soundgarden could headline. They could have Nirvana, Alice-in-Chains, Mother Love Bone, STP and maybe even Jeff Buckley or Elliott Smith.
Sorry, I had to blunt my sadness by being silly. My wife saw me crying while watching this, and was pissed because I didn't cry when we got married, or when my daughter was born.

He's not the first one to say that but i like the way he describes the way he received this song at the beginning (though he doesn't describe the process of how he tuned in) but he just heard it in his head, the song was available somewhere in the universe and he simply, as an artist, made it available for us

My playlist now reads like an obituary of my musical hero's. I'm lucky enough to have been in my 20s when the "grunge" scene began and some of my fondest memories are being lucky enough to him play live. The most talented souls are usually the most troubled but we can all appreciate the window into his soul by listening to his music. Thank you Chris for everything you gave us, it will never be forgotten and will be cherished for generations to come.
