They were so criminally underrated when together. All the 'critics' had their minds made up about the band, with it being a "super group" and should've been fired for writing the reviews they did. That first album could be listened to all the way through without hitting skip, and produced at least 4 pretty big hits that most people my age can sing if it comes over the speakers.
Yeah, they were an easy target. A lot of people wrote them off as "another supergroup." I kind of felt the same way about the first Velvet Revolver record. Both albums had really solid tunes beginning to end.

IMO Audioslave is superior to both Soundgarden and RATM, I always end up coming back to these albums.
@@gianlucatixson6621 very hot take, but I mostly agree with it. I think they are all different and party to their own sounds and ages, but I have to say I regularly listen to Audioslave more than the others.
Did just that a week ago. The first album is a masterpiece. No skipping, all killer, no filler.

I was at Chris last performance at Michigan I went backstage before the show we chatted and he gave me a hug❤ best time of my life
I grew up in the 70's/early 80's as a Rush fan, then followed the Grateful Dead...I've never heard anyone like Chris Cornell, EVER. He puts an imprint on your soul. He truly is someone special and a generational talent. Every time I listen to him, I get teary eyed.

Another example of the way his voice stands out as being one of a kind. With a rare talent of touching the souls of the listener's heart in a way that only a few can do. And just reminds me why we miss you that much more.

And the feeling i got once we finally got home after all that is this song right here. I remember the sun setting leaving a beautiful pinkish aura on the little clouds as we drove back home. Cornell was a hero, from Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.

Chris' wordmanship ability had me from the git ~ it was as if he crawled between my two ears and read my mind and phrased his lyrics so eloquently... Of course his beautiful voice will also continue to cause me to miss him for infinity... And then I saw how scrumptious of a man he was... OMG... I got to watch every nuance of Soundgarden's last concert from the 4th row, front & center... It still plays in my memory and always will... Chris, not only will nobody ever sing like you, but there won't be anybody else able to replace you in my heart... There was and is only one of you...
