Oh man, that’s good. Love how light, almost vulnerable Kiedis sounds in the beginning, but really grows in strength into the song, as they all do. The outtro with Flea and John is also hauntingly beautiful here. Beautiful.

The triumphant return of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers is a breath of youthful freshness in our souls, which takes us back to the glorious '80s and '90s. And that brings tears to my eyes. It's great that the RHCP has returned in full force.
They’re older now than when The Rolling Stones we’re touring in the 90’s and I remember thinking they had really slowed down at that point. RHCP are still playing with the same amount of energy they had when BSSM came out.
Anthony is one of those singers who can sing off key as much as he wants and it doesn’t matter! It’s all about the extraordinary vibe of these 4 mates together and how well John, Flea and Chad got his back instrumentally. All respects to Josh, he is amazing; but there is nothing like experiencing the original chilli peppers vibe again!!

I didn't even know John was back in the band...This really takes me back to watching this music video on MTV at my grandma's house in the summer time when i was just kid. Time flies.
I love that John starts the song at a slower tempo and then when Chad joins he starts in at a faster BPM in classic drummer fashion and John just smirks. I love their band quirks so much
I just love how even a pro band can mess up their tempo when they start in free time...even on a song they've played hundreds of times. It happens to everyone! At least they obviously aren't using a click.

John’s back up vocals are unbelievable! I’ve literally spent hours just actively listening to his vocals on By The Way and Stadium Arcadium and I’m still discovering something new each time.
I simply love that jam at the end between John and Flea for two reasons: 1. They're finally playing together again and 2. Flea has studied music theory in the meantime and now sounds even better with John, who is a music theory geek himself. We got our boys back, and they've undergone an upgrade.

Making me wonder how many legendary songs are stuck in musicians notebooks. This is bitter sweet for me. I bought the album in 2002 when it released and split up with the love of my life I had gastric flu and my gran died. I remember being on the toilet with a bucket and sobbing. Still love this song.
I know when Josh was with them they did an unplugged show. I remember them playing Under the Bridge and By the Way. I couldn't tell you what other songs though because it was so long ago
