chris good singer ma as really sound and solo album is not good solo album sorry ma audioslave and really reunion soungarden sorry for his death suicide sorry the great talent
Both Nirvana and Pearl Jam are in, and I think Alice in chain. I see no reason why not that either Chris solo, Soundgarden, Audioslave or all the above get in at some point. Those bands were all part of a key moment in rock n roll. I dont think of it as the grunge movement. More as the return of real raw, true grit rock coming back in the mainstream.
I found out from the radio driving into work that day. They were in the middle of a tribute when I tuned in. Was playing Like A Stone by Audioslave, didnt think much of it bc it was the "rock station" then the DJ same on said he died and they were playing his songs and went into "Fell on Black Days" by Soundgarden. I had to pull over because I couldnt see the road past my tears.
Alfred, thank you for this of what I will call a discovery for myself. I have not heard of Richie before now. What a voice he has. Chris will always be his own but very cool to hear Richie.
😕 I lost a really good friend Tyler clark, due to depression .. This was his dude!!! I listen to him covering his favorite bands and think, I just wish he knew the impact he had on me and everyone around him What kind of person he was... He was one of the good ones! RIP TY! To the moon and back babe!
I cried when I learned of his death. He has been my favorite vocalists and songwriter since the late 1980s. And to this day I still talk to him and listen to him and miss him.
Just want y'all to know I'm a 95% rap fan, but every once in a while I have to veer over and appreciate talent elsewhere. A voice this powerful can bring worlds together!!!
Awesome you can see that-there’s a lot of raw talent to discover and Chris Cornell is at the top of the charts talented. Find his”Temple of the dog” stuff. That will knock you backwards…
Beautiful. Nobody will ever tear my heart out of my chest quite like Chris Cornell. His voice kills me in the best way every time I hear it. I cannot put into words the tragedy his death still feels like to me. His music helped me through some dark things. I never knew him, but I know the soul he put into his craft and it's not something I'll ever forget.
That's just outstanding. How many people have tried to cover this song and just didn't get it? CC does this in his own distinct style and still nails the soul of Lennon's masterpiece.
At age 54 the 3 deaths in R&R that hit me hardest: John Lennon. True chance of world peace died the night he did. Darrell Abbott was 2. Shot because some fool was mad about Pantera ending. He was a great guitarist and just a cool down to earth guy. And then Chris. Such a beautiful, raw voice. You hear the passion in his voice...sure I miss Bowie and Freddie and Layne. And so many others. But those 3 for me...R.I.P.
Yeah man I'm 38 and you can tell by my name here Dimebag meant a lot to me. Lol. But Chris is wonderful too one of the best ever. I like John too hes amazing.
Getting cold shivers now. Was in hospital in intensive care the day Chris passed. Broke my heart into a million pieces. ☹️☹️☹️☹️ God bless you hope you are resting in the peace you deserve gorgeous man xx

He was a beautiful Man...I live near Hollywood Forever where he is laid to rest along with my family. Just about every Sunday I stop by and have a cup of coffee in my vintage car and always be sure to give Chris love and thank him for moments just like this. Gone waaaaaaayyyyy to soon.
Imagine the world having never experienced such a talent as Chris Cornell. I still listen on the daily; may there always be peace found with your voice.
He was and still is my favorite singer song writer of all time. There’s just something about him that was truly amazing. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. He had so much more to give.
I miss your voice and your music everyday of my life Chris... you helped me get through dark times and I’ll be forever grateful. Please, come down to earth for a little bit 😞
Was by far the best rendition of one of the most powerful songs ever written. What an amazing talent our lives lost! He sang every song so effortlessly..
I keep coming back to this video when I'm not feeling good in my head..... All I can say is "wow" this always makes me feel better. Ty Chris Cornel! Rip
Probably the most beautiful rendition I’ve ever heard of this song. Thank you for sharing this! At a time when people are so divided amongst political lines instead of focusing on what we need as human beings to survive, this pandemic has opened more eyes to humanity. This world needs to start fighting for acceptance because having leaders give you permission to be openly racist and hateful isn’t going to last very long, you’ll be back in the shadows before you know it and all that permission you once had, will be the death of you.
Having a great voice (and he had extraordinary voice) is one thing. Being skilled in singing and properly using your voice is another one. He not only had wonderful, one of a kind voice, he also was technically a great singer, that's in part why he could cover anything and it always sounded great no matter the genre.
Chris Cornell is one of those people with that special voice you can't forget.
R.I.P Chris.
@Reddy Salted That's awesome bro!
Argggh I wish I could've seen LP live...
They are my favorite band, and will always stay.
yeah, they're called 'lead singers'
Shadow yes, he has a voice that tells you right off “ ITS ME, CHRIS CORNELL”
Check out Richie Kotzen. You might be pleased.
chris good singer ma as really sound and solo album is not good solo album sorry ma audioslave and really reunion soungarden sorry for his death suicide sorry the great talent
Hope he gets into Rock N Roll hall of fame this year. We should vote for him.
Eddie vedder has another induction to do then
P Master : I couldn’t agree more
I'm surprised hes not already

I cried like a baby when this guy left the world.
I'm crying now, thinking about my Angel dancing as Chris serenades the Heavens.
Yea Brother i agree...what a talented soul.✊🏾✊🏾

He never left, He's right there singing for all of us
Me too ❤🐨🦘
I definitely think hes at his best when it's just him and his guitar. No band.
His own songs or anyones!
Totally agree
I concur
I would concur if I didnt see Soundgarden 6 times. The 6th being in Detroit.
That's when most musicians are truly at peace within hemselves.
Many versions of Imagine. But now I declare, this is the best version of them all.
After the original I agree
Definitely
Chris Cornell tends to do that with covers
Absolutely. Better than the original even.
Agreed. And nothing else is even close.
I love how he can just "Chris Cornell" any song.
Quoted from another poster: "How do you make any great song a little better ... sprinkle a little Chris Cornell on it."
Nice.

You got to hear Alanis Morissette on his show Dude unbelievable

The world lost a priceless diamond, with the death of Chris Cornell.
No one sings like you anymore, Chris.

Same, man, same..... 😭

Same. It's comforting to know others share this pain. Such an incredible soul left this world way too soon.
Almost deleted UA-cam for not recommending this earlier..
My day is blessed with new Chris Cornell. Robin said it best, "John would be proud of that". RIP Chris, you are never forgotten.
Shame that Chris never felt like he's in John's level musically. i guess he was too humble to think highly of himself
This is not just a cover,it's own original version by a very talented, sincere and real artist.
John Lennon would be so proud. Thank you, Chris!
the rusty voice is absolutely divine. wow.
One of the best voices ever... What a legend.
