Never saw Yu Garden that empty, but I'm not gonna lie, it was gorgeous with those architecture, history and lighting at night for sure. That was really a hidden gem in an over-crowded CBD area in Shanghai. Great work, Jack !!

Wow! I stayed 3 nights at The Seventh Heaven Hotel in August 2019. I often look for it in vlogs but I didn't think I would ever see it get a mention.
I like my food spicier so I like Chongqing or Sichuan province in general. Places like Shanghai, Taiwan or Hangzhou, the food is so mild

Thank you so much! Far too long is the answer we spend a lot of time working on these videos. That’s why we have had to go down to once every other week as we are trying to travel and editing is basically a full time job.

Nanjing road was built by British expats in the 1840s if I remember correctly. Going down the middle of Tibet road and turning to Huaihai Road, you can see a different street view around Xin Tian Di area, which was built by French expats. Generally, Shanghai's downtown city was divided into two parts. One was British and American settlement. The other one was French settlement. Actually, the Bund was a part of British and American Settlement.
I think Jack would enjoy more the historical cities of China just a hunch since he is a historical type of guy xD

It sure was! We filmed our Shanghai and Chengdu series before we left China.
Shanghai is fantastic for tourism, living there is another story. The societal pressure in shanghai especially is insane, most people work 7 days a week and the students there doesn't get any breaks. Especially if you tried to get on a public transport during rush hour, you could just feel the stress in the air.
