Having a stand-alone giant circle is not easy, but if you put it in a group of different buildings of various shapes, it may change people's perception. I think any giant building, regardless of its shape, stands by itself out of nowhere does seem strange to the eye. The CCTV tower in Beijing does get some help from surrounding buildings, and visually speaking, it works if you look at it from distance. Great theme!
The Fulushou building is far more grotesque than this one. I bet a lot of people know what I'm talking about. 😅 P.S. As I fisnished watching the whole episode, I found that Nico and Jack mentioned it in the end just like they saved it for a final blow...
This was Epic! I’m with you Jack it’s so ugly it’s beautiful… oh I go to see these 3 ‘statue’ buildings in Beijing ❤ It’s was a real fun episode 😊 Thanks Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
The circle building looks like the ancient Chinese coin, maybe they just want to be wealthier. And the building in 11:13 is three gods, they respectively represent fortune, prosperity, and longevity.
The beauty or ugliness of architecture is more about human subjective perspectives. In fact, almost all buildings have their own artistic value. I am glad that you are not simply comparing beauty or ugliness, but rather elaborating on the artistic connotations behind these buildings. I found out that I actually subscribed to your channel, and it should be your video that moved me. I also spent some time in China. China is a magical country, and only by visiting China can one experience its wonders, which cannot be seen in Western media. Western media is not only distorted but also distorted. Thank you and wish you a pleasant stay in China!
We saw this golden coin building on our way from the train station to city center. The taxi driver said it was there for Feng Shui purpose 😅 and apparently it is empty??? I’m not from Guangzhou so not sure. Anyone can help to explain?
Actually it’s taken the form of ancient Chinese money. Me as a local don’t think that’s ugly. It’s just kinda odd being there standing out of its surroundings which isn’t a bad thing at all. After all it’s for commercial use 😂
I have seen this building on the highway and have wanted to get off the highway several times to take a closer look. The shape of the building is a copper coin, the ancient Chinese currency, which is square and round, which is excellent for Feng Shui.
Anything to make content to get views and get likes. The building is not ugly it's unique ND symmetrical the architects and engineers did an amazing job in its construction.
The most ugly building is the beer bottle building , also the "paris look a like / venetian lookalike /Eiffel tower look a like"... I mean that really downfrading chinese people creativity i think.
The circle doesn't look ugly to be honest, a bit unusual.
I think that building design is absolutely FANTASTIC and unique! Very creative!😀
I call them unique not ugly.
Keep up the good work! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
"The Big O" isn't that "ugly" per se, it is quite interesting though.

Not the ugliest 😊 Loving the effect of the building at night that reflects to the river ❤
Another interesting video. The real China without insulting China. Thanks. 👍
Nothing is ugly, round building is difficult to build
White elephant is indeed interesting. Thanks for a great video, the donut building is somewhat misplaced. Thanks for another informative video
Have you guys gone up the canton tower on the outside bubble ride?
that building is to resemble the coins used in ancient china
NO,N coin is need to be square in the center.

Perhaps there is some hidden astronomical significance, like.....winter soltice sunrise shines through the center?
Where can I buy those glasses you're wearing?
I like the building by itself however It indeed doesn't fit in the environment.
That giant golden coin building is amazing!
Perfect angles. Like It.

I like this particular building in all honesty.
Yes, as a Cantonese, I can confirm that’s THE obnoxious building in GZ. My mom would mumble about its outlook every time it came in sight
😂

I personally don't like it too much but it is a very subjective thing.
开演唱会的那个场地的柱子上是折叠起来的led屏幕
Fun fact: Guangzhou Circle in Canotonese is the same pronunciation of "Guangzhou doomed"
Beautiful in my opinion.
The Guangzhou Circle Building was designed to resemble an ancient Chinese coin, symbolizing its connection to the trading business

FIRST TEN ! ! ! How is the building ugly ? ! ! This looks exactly like the ancient copper coin in China called 铜钱 ! ! !
coins need to be square in the center.
@@keving4187 come on man almost the same !
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Need some time to consume....
the round building was designed by italian.
I kind of like it!
I really like it...its a lot more interesting than the generic rubbish which is everywhere.
That ''Ugly'' building looks like a Giant water wheel to generate electricity in the next flood!
I like it.

if anything i think it’s just the off-brass color that makes it less appealing 😭 i actually like the interesting shape

The Guangzhou Tower is like a woman twisting her waist and looking back
那个王八的建筑太抽象了🤣
Guangzhou doughnut building looks tasty 😂😂😂.
It's not something I mind in the skyline. Pretty much a good landmark.
In Panyu Square in Guangzhou, there is a building that looks like a cockroach at night. Don't you go and visit it? Hahaha
😀🙏😅🙏🙂
The. ugliest building I've seen in person - The Toilet Bowl in Vienna, Virginia
It's ugly indeed when I first saw it. Vulgarity is whe word I can think of about it.
The most ugly building is the beer bottle building , also the "paris look a like / venetian lookalike /Eiffel tower look a like"... I mean that really downfrading chinese people creativity i think.
LOL, that toilet building
As a Guangzhou native, I hate the big coin building😠😠😠So tacky!
It a nice shape china not ugly
also no comment here as a Chinese, hahahha
Yeah it's ugly.
Saya suka vidio nya sayang ❤
I don’t agree, the ugliest building in the world is my nine-story building where I live in Russia😂
hhhh它真的很丑,但要相信,最丑的建筑肯定在北京😂,虽然它在你的视频中一闪而过,但仍然丑的那么突出😂😂😂😂
Big money (the circle).
