Wow the timing, just beat KOTOR last week and picked up 2 on the steam sale today
That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it!
Know this is a bit late, but at 13:00, you can gain negative influence and you can still unlock the same dialogue (tho idk if you can do it with the relationship between visas and handmaiden), and you also get different dialogue options (specifically Atton on Nar Shaddaa has way different dialogue based on whether he likes or dislikes you with regards to the cantina when you go get captured by the exchange).
Epic video. Nice breakdown of the system mechanics.
Thanks man, glad you liked it!!
most useful guides i could find on YT
Just going to point out that you used force valor as an example to demonstrate force chain. A power that already affects the whole party LOL.
Is it something that affects Kreia and the Exile tho? 😏
@@GamingYourOwnWay I mean, maybe? 😉
Shit man I'm 4 minutes into the video and I already know I'm watching all these videos you made on them
What do you mean by "added"? Thought this he hadn't been supported for years
"Added" as in it wasn't in the predecessor game
@@GamingYourOwnWay oh. So the regular updates from years ago. Gotchya. I suppose I shoulda paid more attention lol
Love the video 3rd playthrough first time canon female
Is it better to have the dexterity for aim or strength
For melee weapons? Strength will get you more damage plus chance to hit, dexterity only gives chance to hit and requires a feat, however it also affects your defense rating. It really just depends on your playstyle, but if you want to deal more damage, strength.
Spoilers!
Do not continue if you do not wished to be spoiled.
Also to add-on if you have bad influence with a character and decide to make them a Jedi they will be opposite of your alignment.
Let’s say you have poor influence with Atton and are of a DS alignment, Atton will become of a LS alignment.
Good addition!! Let's throw a spoiler tag on this though, just in case somebody watches that doesn't know that's an option. I had to stop myself several times from including gameplay that might reveal that haha
The_Lone_Gunmen just added it thanks for the reminder
The problem with having Kreia casting in the back is that Jedi Support role often still has her charging up the middle instead of staying back. I'm considering changing her role to stationary as even on the hardest difficulty level, my companions are OP slaughtering all my targets before I even have a chance to get a strike in, and they don't even have all the best gear.
Kreia is just a dps at heart, what can you do 😂
Companions should always be in ranged mode and your own character in stationary. No reason to give Kreia a lightsaber. A blaster that can stun and an exchange negotiator is all she needs.
Handmaiden is the only melee companion that can be just as strong or stronger than the main character. Hence the only one you should use with agressive mode.
And Kreia gives en exp bonus so you should always have her in your party if possible. That means theres room for only one more and Atton and Handmain are superior and far stronger than any of the other companions. So yea, Kreia/Atton or Kreia/Handmaiden is what you should run for most of the game.
Once Kreia is gone, Atton/Handmaiden is the strongest combo.
I love ur vids u really sound like a droid 🤣😍
Heyyyyyyyyyy :)
As amazing as Kotor 2 is, I absolutely despise how clunky the combat is. It's just not responsive and it feels like a poor translation of tabletop board game mechanics into real time mechanics.
It's legitimately painful how unresponsive the moment-to-moment gameplay is with queuing up attacks that keep getting interrupted or sent to the wrong friggin dude.
Yep this game isn't for me. I prefer combat based on my skill rather than chance
probably one of the worst combat systems iv ever seen in any game. Wow. Completely put me off wanting to play it. =
😥
@@GamingYourOwnWay great video though, very thorough.
Yuck, still a game I'll never be able to play and that's disappointing because everything else looks great with a lot to experience. It's really just tthe combat. It's enough to have to me want to keep this game as far away from me as possible and gives me flash backs of the Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories games where the combat consisted of playing certain cards to activate attacks or abilities kind of like this. By far the most controversial style of combat in gaming history because it isn't really combat, you're gambling and playing a card game, that's about it. There is literally no combat or gameplay in this game from the videos I've seen of it, and it doesn't quite qualify as an action RPG or Turn-Based RPG either, it's just weird.
I mean it's basically DnD in a video game, and it's not for everyone, some people love it, and some people hate it, kind of like everything else. I really dislike the kind of combat in SWTOR and Dragon Age Inquisition, but some people absolutely love it.
@@GamingYourOwnWay Yeah, I was gonna say it's one of, if not the most beloved RPG's of its genre and I'd venture to say all time honestly, but that combat just keeps me at bay. It was the same with Mass Effect, some people hate it, but I absolutely loved it. It's my Kotor II. lol
