Isn’t it true that attribute boosting crystals do NOT stack in the same lightsaber? If you get a WIS boost from the personal crystal, the Ruusan crystal will not add any more in the same saber.
same stat boosts also do not stack in armor either - there are 2 armor mods that reduce energy damage to you by 30% 1 underlay and 1 overlay but if you use both it does not stack to 60% resistance it stays at 30%
For what it's worth, I think if you put the alignment restricted crystals in your saber along with your personal crystal, you can use the dark/light crystal regardless of what alignment you are.

Just started replaying KOTOR 1 and 2 and came across your channel. Your guides are really informative and made me rethink some of the choices and even character selection. I played the Soldier/Jedi Guardian class in both games, but chose to play the Scoundrel/Jedi Consular class and enjoyed the play-through immensely. Thanks for the many guides!
I have yet to confirm this myself, but I've heard numerous times that you can apparently bypass the "Restriction to Light/Dark" by putting the Player Crystal into your lightsaber first and then throwing in the Qixoni or Solari crystals- or vice versa. If so, holy shit that's strong.
This is by far the best video for lightsaber customization, instead of just reading what the game already tells me I feel like I actually learned something. Thank you!
My personal favorite for lightsabers is just figuring out what maximum damage output looks like. There is something so fun about mowing down hoards of enemies at a time

For the Qixoni Crystal at 18:27 actually, it might be one of the best in slot crystals for Visas since she'll be the only dark side jedi companion you'll get even if you run a light side playthrough, so it deserves to be A tier let alone "B+" tier since she has a base higher charisma than wisdom so that force regen will help her recovery a bit. Just like how Solari will boost the Handmaiden thanks to her Echani combat feats that'll be boosted even more with the buffs from that crystal, but it might be good for Disciple too.

I have a problem please help me. I got my personal crystal on the cave but when I went to Kreia to upgrade it, she tells me to remove it from the lightsaber. But when I look at my lightsaber, none of them have the personal crystal equipped. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I can still see the personal crystal in my inventory
I'm experiencing the strange phenomenon of negative defense effects from a lightsaber I made. I did the super saber glitch where you stack a bunch of the same crystals into a lightsaber to make it massively powerful. I put about 64 lorddian gemstones in there and now it's doing -96 defense. I have a previous file in which I only used about 50 crystals and I didn't have any problems, just the desired effect of being basically invincible when wielding the saber. Perhaps there is a max defense cap and I exceeded it, if anyone knows anything about this issue I'd be greatful for any information
The best two crystals are upari and lorrdian gemstone, that is if you're doing lightsaber duplication glitching and super saber stacking. If you put at least 50 upari crystals in a saber it will kill almost everyone with one chop unless they're a end game boss and the saber will never miss. Then you put 50 lorrdian gemstones in a saber and you will be virtually immune to all attacks while you are holding the saber. Besides those two crystals you literally only need two more, the kaiburr crystal and the name crystal. With these you will be unstoppable
I think Telgorn is S tier personally. It’s a staple for all Jedi in my party unless of course I’m duking it out with some droids. Generally (with no crystals) it goes pontite lens, expert fencing emitter, and telgorn energy cell late game unless it’s atton (he gets keen and critical multiplying crystals and mods). If you want to just have fun roll playing and not focus on changing weapons every single battle this is what I like on my character. Obviously your player crystal, pontite crystal for the additional damage, barab ore is nice for damage as well. The alignment crystal is nice as well for either alignment. The kasha crystal would be better is the pontite crystal didn’t have the +2 to charisma, with the added damage it’s just blatantly outclassed.
I spam karma exploits and both my lightsabers have max dark and max light side personal crystals, in the same saber. Max strength and max wisdom, using the twin crystal cheat. 😈 For fun, I create a double sided lightsaber with max force deflection for saber throw. Throwing a double sided lightsaber is awesome. 🐶
I finished KOTOR 2 last night and didn't get all of the crystals due to what I played them on: the Nintendo Switch. Anyway, I just swapped any/all upgrades as needed until I got to the vertical end when I knew I'd be going it alone and went full VS Darkside because I was on Malichor and it worked like a charm; I still think I missed out on some Jedi swag along the way though.
Just about to start my third play through on iPad. The restored content is interesting but I’ve no idea how that works on an iPad. At any rate, I found this very interesting.

Personally since i usually do modded runs specifically K2 so ill be lvl 50 with 90 in all stats and since my enemies are also lvl 50 its rare to insta kill them especially since i play on instant death which is as hard as it sounds even with a ton of hp so with my little tangent out of the way i try to max out possible dmg so that i can kill before im killed so i tend to get over 100 in max dmg
