You can run the Gold monster in auto mode to allow it to balance out the minerals. Also in manual mode you do need to ground balance the Gold monster. One last point, all detectors should be started facing horizontal to the earth, it’s on just about every tutorial.
The equinox does provide better decriminalisation with the numbering system though it doesn’t punch as deep as the Gold monster. I’ll close with this, dig all targets, it could be an old timers rusty tin can full of gold. You never know what’s under the dirt. Regards, Mario 🇦🇺

If you turn the threshold up till you can hear it barely on the nox , then you can hear the gold better and when the vdi won’t come up you’ll still hear the gold

Love this video. Looks to me that multi frequencies work better with VLF detecting. Discriminating the hot rocks from real targets in heavy mineralized areas. Quiets the chatter better. Gets me to thinking multi frequency has some great benefits for VLF detectors, and, might out perform P.I.? Thank you Jack for this comparison video, outstanding!

A nox can do both but gotta have the 5” coil. Gold monster is gor gold.

Nox is underrated for gold for sure, but a high freqency update to 85-95 would spur sales and seperate it in its class and would be unbeatable for sure. Great Video!
Now that I've mentioned that the Equinox 800's led display, in Multi, looks like an angry snowman.... every time you use Multi mode, you'll remember the day you read this comment.
how do you get better at detecting gold. i can find gold here and there. but cant seem to find gold consistently takes a lot of practice every one tells me the small coil have a good day.
The smaller coil is better for gold. Look for Gold signs. Rocks, dirt etc. and follow the dry washers.

😟Currently breaking my head on which one to buy, Equinox 900, Deus xp ll, or Gold Monster. Gold specks is the main target, and goldmonster as a PI detector is better, but it's heavier, bulkier, expensive, hard to get, etc., watched tons of comparing vids, and still can't get, if a good expensive VLF detector can spot gold specks on a level close to PIs, like GM, gpx6000, Atx? Will it be a mistake to buy Deus/Equinox/Nokta Legend instead of Gold Monster, to hunt for tiny gold nuggets?
Gold monster is easy to use. Great machine for fine gold. But is VLF. Pi’s are better for gold yes but cost more. The axiom is a great PI for the less money.
Equinox 800 with small coil is good for gold. Has the vdi screen which helps.
Plus the 800 is great for other treasures.

On the NOX 800 did you only use prospecting 1 setting or did you customize it?
I just used 1 number 2 is for mor mineralized ground. 1 factory setting and turned sensitive as high as you can and then back off from there.
