@Johny and Johny Jr man that is so bloody awesome to hear that these settings helped. They are pretty simple to set up and used with great success by detectorists all around the world now! I love sharing🙂 Best of luck and happy digging for future mate🤝⛏️👍
though I had some problem with sea water It also ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Well Thank You Luke, I have had the 800 for 18 months and it’s been ok, but I dialed in your settings and just scored 5 coins on the beach in an hour, including a 1960 half penny. That’s my best outing yet, thanks legend. 👍👍
Thanks Luke, I never would have thought there was as much to play with. I am going out now to test your settings. I know they are good by all the great coments that have been sent in already. The Equinox 800 is a brilliant machine and I have dug up a few hundred dollars in new coins up near Darwin already, so I know I will be well prepared now with these new settings. Thanks again mate. Cheers Bill Roberts.
I’ve had my equinox 800 for 2 years and your settings made good sense so I tried them and I’m amazed how good your setup is. I went over to a spot that a friend pulled 3 silver dimes out in the past and neither of us could hear anything else but iron, using your setup I pulled another Mercury dime and a barber quarter, we were absolutely shocked and now I’m going over spots I’ve been at in the past and I’m finding lots of coins I missed because I didn’t hear them so a huge thank you too you for sharing your setting they absolutely work great. 👍 thanks and please keep up the great work on the videos.
Wow @Ed W thanks so much mate, I am so glad you are enjoying my settings on the Equinox 800. They certainly help make those deep targets stand out amongst the trash👌 Thanks again for the great feedback and happy hunting👍⛏
I have been running my Equinox 800 on these settings for a year now and everything i have found is pretty much thanks to luke and because of him sharing his settings..⛏😊 Thanks again luke and good luck out there hunting everyone.👋⛏⛏😊🇭🇲
Thankyou so much Matty and so happy to help you mate. You have had some amazing finds to, very nice work👌 Happy hunting and best of luck for future digs👍⛏
Fantastic help. Been digging chunks of rubbish for a fortnight and went over the same ground and dug up a pocket full of coins with these settings. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching @MacDougall Partnership and the great feedback! These equinox-800 settings definitely help make those coins stand out amongst the trash...especially the goldies👌 I am really glad you are enjoying and I wish you the best of luck for future hunting⛏️ Cheers heaps🙂
Hi Luke, just want to say Thank you thank you thank you, I was digging a couple of old homes that are going to be demolished and I was getting a few pre decimal coins, I thought I had cleaned them out, but when I used your guide to setting the NOX I returned to the houses and only spent about half an hour and I dug up two gold coins ($2.) and four more pennies, I was absolutely blown away and will be returning to the houses to complete a final sweep. Once again Luke thank you very much, and I enjoy your UA-cam site keep up the great work. Dudley Lynch. .
Hi there @dudley lynch thanks so much for your comment and feedback mate, I am so glad to hear that you are finding my Equinox 800 settings helpful when hunting the old house sites! Hopefully you can find and save plenty more nice coins and relics before they start the rebuild process👍 Thanks heaps again mate, happy hunting out there👍⛏️
Seen your settings on silver so gave them a try. Wow unbelievable these settings, won't be changing these settings ever, was out last weekend and found loads on coins, then 2 silvers jumped out, silver sixpence bullhead and George 5th one florin. Well impressed bro❤
@Darren Newbury this was so bloody awesome to read mate and exactly what I'm all about. If I can help others out there have better success then it's all worth the time and effort to shoot these videos👌 Thanks heaps bro🤝 Keep smashing those coins and relics mate, I'm sure you will be hitting on lots more targets at every site you hunt now👌⛏️
I was using Jason Jones silver settings which my mate loves and finds loads more than me, until I put your settings in and tryed them, couldn't believe it when I was out the other day I was finding more than him, plus with your settings it goes deep aswell.. So seen your other settings on the UA-cam so decided to put both in my machine, so this Sunday Il be using both your settings so il let you no the outcome bro, keep up the videos bro there awasone
For the last 6 months I’ve been running your settings. Thank you. I’ve found heaps and now bought an equinox 900 that I’ll set up too. That’s how I found out UA-cam had wiped you from my list mate. All the best and thanks again for your settings 👍
I kid you not. I bought the Nox 800 did all the updates. I then decided to research a bit with it and came across your settings video. I changed the settings as you described and took it out for her first swing. My very first target (Boom) a white gold ring with diamonds, my 2nd target a 5c and my third target a silver ring. Ecstatic. Thank you so much Luke xx
Oh wow @Audrey Loo I am so happy for you, that is amazing!! The Equinox is a great machine but with my settings added it certainly helps unlock those targets in trashy ground. Best of luck for future and thankyou so much for the sharing your story, I always love hearing great feedback like this😊 Happy hunting⛏
I'm pretty happy with my settings but thought I'd watch for the hell of it. Turns out my settings are very similar lol. I do some things differently. I regularly change recovery speed depending on site and trash conditions. I also never discriminate and listen to all sounds. This helps me hear if the machine is struggling against emi because I've found that bad emi can throw off the reading by a few numbers and make good targets sound sketchy. Thanks for sharing Luke.
Nice work @DetectingCanberra using the higher recovery speed and a lower iron bias definitely helps make those targets stand out alot clearer on the nox! Thanks for watching mate👍 Best of luck out there and happy hunting⛏
Thanks so much @Peter Hutwelker I am so glad you enjoyed and found helpful watching this video. There is always plenty to learn with the Equinox 800 but once setup right, it's such a great machine. I really hope these settings help in future, best of luck and happy hunting out there mate👍⛏
This was the best video on Equinox settings out there. Thank you for taking the time to demonstrate the basic and advanced settings. I will be following the advice you offer. I have a question, here in the U.S when I go hunt a site looking mostly for coins on 1900 sites I have passed up many good back and fourth clear signals coming in at 1 -10 and ofc since it doesn’t fall in my coin range I have passed on. Would you recommend from here forward to dig those lower good sounding targets especially when time is of the essence??? Thank you very much.
Thanks so much @princeali1786 I am so glad you enjoyed watching and found my video to be helpful🙂 The Equinox is a great all round machine and so easy to learn and use. In most of my videos when hunting the old house sites, you will notice that I generally only dig out the higher numbers from 18-40 especially when time limited. This will give me a great idea of what targets are coming out of the ground though and how to understand that site best. Then later when I have more time, I will return to dig out all the lower numbers also. (Ranging from 1 through to 40) Best of luck hunting and I really hope this all helps. Be sure to check out some of my other videos hunting at the old house sites. There you will find plenty more tips and tricks for future im sure. Happy Hunting and enjoy🙂⛏
Kia Ora bro' wow' wow' thank you for this settings, I never found so many gold coins $2-$1 before till now, this settings will be permanently on my nox 800 for coin shooting, thanks again, take care out there and a happy hunting
That is amazing to hear @Rima senior sadaraka, I am so happy my settings have helped boost those finds when out detecting. They certainly make those $1 & $2 coins sing out nice and loud👌 Thanks so much for the feedback and happy hunting mate👍⛏
G'day, happy Australian I have the best couple of hours coin hunting using your settings I discovered more and what I to find I thought I was digging five cents to my surprise it was silver actually turned out to be one sixpence and a Three pence going by using the settings and listening to the high sounds I'd like to thank you very much your settings were nicely thank you Ray
Hi there @Ray Dovey thanks so much mate and that is awesome to hear, congratulations! Those Equinox 800 settings certainly help make those coins and tones stand out alot clearer when hunting. Best of luck out there detecting and I hope you have plenty more success for future👍⛏
Very informative, great to learn a bit more rather than just watching someone digging with very little instruction on how they’ve set their machine up.. will be going back to this video for recapping. Cheers again
Thankyou Toni, I have been running the Equinox 800 and these settings for years now, as have many others. They certainly work very well and definitely help those coins and relics stand out alot easier! Best of luck mate and I would love to hear any feedback you may have in future. Happy Hunting👍⛏
OUTSTANDING Equinox 800 video demonstration done in such an easy concise manner that you can understand the features easily. I really appreciate it. Thanx
Thanks so much @Cman I am really glad you enjoyed watching this video and found it to be helpful🙂 I also have a Equinox Tips and Tricks Playlist featured on my channel, sharing more great information as I detect different sites⛏️ Best of luck and happy hunting out there for future🙂👍
GR8 to hear from someone else who uses PARK 1 to detect...(park 2 for the fine search)...ive been detecting with the nox for around 5 yrs now & its upped my find rate 50...80%, if this machine is set up rite...it WILL NOT let you walk past anything that is classed as a desirable target ! subbed ya, all the best GL&HH Gordon "CASSOP'S NOX DIGGER"
Im really glad you enjoyed watching this video @CASSOP'S NOX DIGGER I love hunting in park 1 mode! And with my settings included, those coins and targets sure do stand out loud and clear. As you say, very hard to walk past👌 Cheers heaps for watching Gordon and thanks so much for the Sub and support mate🤝
New nox owner here I’ve had my machine for only a week now and already with the factory seethings of the nox it’s already blown my previous machine out of the water with a half dozen silvers I’ve found over my own previously hunted ground I can’t wait to give it a crack after using your settings I’ll let you know how I go Cheers for sharing 🍻🍻
That is great to hear @Trevor Anderson the Equinox is certainly a brilliant machine for the coins and relics. I hope using my settings for future will help also. Best of luck and happy hunting out there mate👍⛏
Thank-you for such an informative and comprehensive instruction, I'm thinking of buying one of these I'm new to this l live in Gippsland and am confused between the more expensive mine-labs you have helped me decide immensely thank you..I really just want to get out and exercise and discover a new hobby thank-you so much for sharing your tips and experiences.
@Doc from Down-Under you are most welcome mate and I am so glad you enjoyed watching and also found this video to be helpful. It's really nice to be able to share some handy information to help others out there get started. Be sure to check out the new Minelab Vanquish range also, the 540 being my main recommendation to buy. They are a great machine and also run the exact same Multi-IQ technology as the Equinox but half the price! I have the Vanquish 540 as a secondary detector for myself and my eldest son to use and they are very capable. Best of luck mate and happy hunting out there in future👍⛏
Thanks so much Jerry and really glad you found my video helpful. We also have plenty other great videos running the Equinox, all with tips and tricks that I use, as I go. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate the Sub to mate. Happy hunting and best of luck with your new Equinox👍⛏
Just wanted to let you know, today was my first day using the Equinox 800. I decided to use the settings you shared here. I was surprised at how stable this machine is and I was able to pull 5 civil war bullets out of a very hard hit area. My daughter was using my old MXT and it wouldn't even pick them up! Great settings! Question...do I have to factory reset and put in these settings after every time out?
Thanks so much for sharing, I'm a brand newbie just charged and setup my nox and of course it's dark now here in NZ, can't wait to get out in the morning!
You are most welcome Amber, I really hope these settings help you. Just be sure to set your recovery speed and iron bias as needed, like I mention in video. Best of luck and happy hunting in the morning🙂⛏
100% @AHD - Appalachian History Detectives this is one video that will never get deleted mate. It has helped hundreds if not thousands of Equinox users out there in the past and certain to keep helping for future im sure! Glad you enjoyed, cheers heaps mate👍
New to metal detecting and the nox 800. I now have your settings but I am in ohio. I hope that these settings work as well here as they do there for you. Thanks for your informative video.
Hi there @mavic prohio thanks so much for watching mate. These settings shown will also be great for you hunting as they are for me I'm sure. Over the years I have had dozens reach out to me from the U.S sharing fantastic results with these very settings. They are also featured in the newest version of the Andy Sabisch Equinox Users Guide handbook, with detectorists all over the world using and enjoying them. I wish you the best of luck also and would love to hear your feedabck in future. Happy digging mate👍⛏️
Sharing is Caring, well done Mate, going to try these settings out on mine and get back to you after a year or so off digging and hopefully detecting the forgotten treasures here and their 👍👍👍
Thanks so much @Italliving I am always happy to help. These settings are used by hundreds around the world with great success now and I have no doubt you will love them also🙂 Best of luck and happy hunting out there for future👍⛏️

A very solid boiling down of the 800 strongest capabilities. Two years in with the 800 and your info polishes off a lot of the edges. Thanks Steve. Subbed your station!
Thanks so much mate, I really appreciate your feedback. Even myself spending countless hours on the Equinox 800, i feel I am still learning as I go. Its such an amazing detector to own and use though and has definitely served me well over the years. Thanks again mate and i really appreciate that you Subscribed also🙂 Happy hunting for future👍⛏
Thanks so much Mark, I have been at it for a few years now mate but loved every moment. So many treasures out there to find, just have to have the patience to dig them all. Best of luck and happy hunting out there👍⛏
Well explained! I work mostly in desert areas looking for Anything, I pretty much run the detector on field two, 50 tones and punch that horseshoe. Recently I’ve been going to parks using the same settings. I’ll go ahead and plug in your settings, It’ll be fun to try something different. Thanks!
Thanks so much mate and glad you enjoyed. I hope you can find these new settings useful and would really love to hear any future feedback. We have had so many members have such great success with these settings...including myself. They work great👌 Best of luck and happy hunting mate👍⛏

Awesome video mate, I've just got my first detector and its the 800, I've only used it 5 times and 3 of them have been in the backyard and twice at the beach, I've found about 10 coins now and a heap of nails and other rubbish, im going to give these settings a go!!!🤙🇦🇺

Really glad you enjoyed watching @Peter Evans also once any settings are changed on the Equinox 800 they will automatically remain that way during the switch off and on process. No need to worry about saving. Happy hunting👍
I am so glad you enjoyed and found this video to be helpful @So Tired these settings are mainly aimed at targeting the coins. However, also gives a great understanding of how to set up your Equinox 800. I wish you the best of luck hunting, hopefully a few nice coins and relics to be found, even some shiny gold. Happy detecting🙂⛏️
Great stuff...I have just bought a Nox 800 as an update to my current Minelab Explorer SE that I've been using for a number of years now. I have signed up to your FB page to download these settings... thanks.

That is really awesome to hear @A-guitar I am sure you will love getting out there and starting to unearth those treasures once it arrives today! Best of luck and i really hope you enjoy mate👍⛏️
Not a worry at all Michela, I will be sure to do some testing next time out in the goldfields and see what works best for the mineralisation in ground🙂
Very informative! You've got to dig those nails. Just outside my back door I dug up a WWI button, in North Florida! Thanks for taking the time, can't wait to try the new settings!
Thankyou so much @Arlee Colman I am really glad you enjoyed watching my Equinox settings video, there is plenty of great tips and tricks to use when out there hunting for future🙂 Wow how amazing is that to, especially to find just outside the back door🙌 It just goes to show, you never know what's going to turn up next! Best of luck and happy hunting out there Arlee, I look forward to chatting again🙂⛏️
Thanks heaps Turd Furgerson and really glad you enjoyed mate. I hope you find these settings to be helpful and would love to hear some future feedback. Best of luck and happy hunting mate👍⛏
As far tone break, tone pitch and tone volume is concerned, those particular settings don't have any direct relation to any of the discrimination settings in the accept/reject settings and the iron bias correct? So far I prefer to just run the factory tone break, tone pitch and tone volume and adjust my sensitivity, iron bias, recovery speed as needed and just listen to the factory preset tones (I use 5 tones, 50 tones to to much) however the additional settings suggested in this video may put more emphasis on desirable targets is what I'm understanding based on the experience I have so far with my Equinox 800.
Hello, I just love your tutorial and I added it my Minelab 800. I live in Hawaii where there are tons of HOT ROCKS!! Is there anything that I should change to make it run smoother? It's because these rocks give out a lot of falsing because so mineralized. Any help would help!! Aloha. :)
Im really glad you are enjoying @darrinthompson4157 I still run these exact same settings myself today on the 800. Best of luck and happy digging mate👍⛏️
Most welcome Annie, I really hope they work well for you and you can unearth items previously missed or even help you pick up on those desirable items at any new sites for future🙂 Happy Hunting out there⛏
Hi I have just purchased a nox 800, But i followed your video there, but what confuses me is that once you had put all the settings in. You went to another part of setting the settings to anything above 18 but why did you get us to set this at -9
late to the party....great vid and tips thank you for sharing! I wanted to immediately set my settings on my nox 600 only to realize the audio pitch and break can only be adjusted for ferrous metals. what would you recommend in this case (besides buying the 800 =) )
I am one of those I don't dig all the target that i should. I just don't get out as much as I should running my equinox I've just set my detector up with your settings and I am heading out to a few areas tomorrow planning on digging every decent signal we'll see how it goes thank you.
Don't worry mate I'm quite the same, most sites I visit I tend to dig from 18 upwards to 40. I feel that this gives you the best idea of a site and helps you narrow in on the area that you need to be first. Best of luck tomorrow and happy hunting mate👍⛏
Hello from Finland. These are so awesome instructions for the 800 but do you know how these apply for the Minelab Equinox 600 or if you know where i can get them? I just got my Minelab Equinox 600 and I'm a liitle bit in need of guidance. 😊👍
Hi there @Philip Hemsworth I have had plenty of others from all around the world trying these settings also and love them. Happy hunting and best of luck out there👍⛏
G'day mate 👌 Nick in England here , followed your settings onto my nox 800 , then went to a town park I've found a few coins before . Had a great couple hours today , found a couple silver sixpence and old penny's and half penny's, also modern coins. Cheers
Wow @Nick Triker that is so great to hear mate and really pleased you are enjoying the new Equinox settings! It definitely hekps makes those nice signals stand out loud and clear when detecting👌 Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and happy hunting for future mate👍⛏️
@@DigItDetecting nice one , but i reckon i beat you on history 😉 i live within 60 mile radius of Stone henge and Avebury Stone circle . Just a shame not allowed to metal detect these sites
Wow that is bloody amazing @Nick Triker and definitely somewhere I would love to visit one day. Just imagine if they did allow detecting at sites like these, the history to be found would be out of this world insane!
Excellent video, I have programmed my newly bought 800 to your settings. Question, all these settings in your video that you set in Park 1 mode, when you go to Park 2, Field modes and Beach modes and Prospecting modes are all the settings for those still at default or your settings affect those modes too as well as Park 1?
Your right Matti Hahn in the video the T5 setting I did not press the Accept button on, however after adjusting it still did save with the T5 20 setting.
This is fantastic! I cant wait to try it! Im new to the nox and have been using neil jones beach to land settings. Have had decent luck but im always looking for different settings to expand my capabilities. Thank you!
Awesome to hear, I'm sure they will work really well for you also mate. They have helped so many out there already over the years and they are the only settings I will ever use on the Equinox 800. Happy hunting and best of luck out there🙂⛏
Im really glad you enjoyed watching this setup video @Steil Laurie these 800 settings have been used by detectorists all around the world now and with great success! I am very happy to share🙂 Cheers heaps for your support mate🤝👍⛏️
Wow nicely done @terry micalizzi I really love hearing success stories such as this🙂 and really nice to know that you are enjoying the settings, it certainly helps target those coins through the trash alot easier on the Equinox 800. Best of luck and happy hunting out there🙂⛏️
Ah mate, I’ve always been blown away seeing your finds on Facebook and to now follow you on the journey just makes it even better! Question, have you diverted back to the original version of the Nox or have you done the upgrades as they’ve been rolling out? Cheers Reece
Thankyou so much Reece, it's been a pleasure to be able to share my finds and adventures for many out there to enjoy also. Now being on UA-cam, I can share even more as I go! And I end up doing the first update but that's it, so im still running Version/Update 2 in my videos mate👍
Thanks so much Craig, I really appreciate your support given mate🙂 I am glad you enjoyed and we have plenty more great sites to check out in future videos. Thanks again and happy hunting out there👍⛏
Most welcome mate, I really hope you enjoy these settings and would love to see any interesting future finds you may have🙂 Best of luck and happy hunting👍⛏
You are most welcome Leslie. I am really glad this helped and I will be sure to add a few more how to vidoes in future as I go. We will be looking at how to properly pinpoint with the Equinox 800 next, stay tuned. Cheers mate👍
awesome straight forward info had my nox 800 for a week learned more in 20 mins than hours of watching other videos have found sixpence and coins but lots junk learning that if bounces around and sounds crap it's pretty much crap lots to learn grea machine can't wait to hit a beach
Wow thats awesome to hear, thanks so much @Gavin Woollard I am so glad you enjoyed watching and found this video to be helpful mate. I have plenty more great videos featuring tips and tricks with the Equinox 800. Be sure to check them out as they may be helpful also. Cheers heaps mate and happy hunting out there👍⛏
You are most welcome @Diggin' Duo, these settings have helped so many over the years and work really well, im happy to share. And yes, there is alot that use my settings for US coins and with great success👌 Happy hunting out there⛏
Hi Dig It Detecting, I'm currently getting into using your setup, I just bought my Equinox 800 and noticed that my signals go berserk just signalling 50c, $1, $2 coins.. Thats just on default havent worked on it at all so I'm going to try your setup to see how it goes, I see that you are using Detect Eds Carbon Frame.. Have you attempted to use a 15inch Coil with it? Just wanted to know how it balances in terms of heaviness etc. Kind regards Daniel.
Thanks so much Mark and your most welcome mate. I am really glad my videos are helping you learn, I look forward to sharing plenty more in future👍 Thanks again and happy hunting out there⛏
Thanks so much @Benjamin Blundell I am really glad you enjoyed watching and also found helpful. Best of luck using these settings mate, happy hunting👍⛏
That is great to hear @MAINELY DIRT FISHIN awesome to know that you are enjoying my settings mate. I unfortunately haven't ever owned a Deus 2, so no settings just yet for that one sorry mate. I wish you the best of luck for future hunting, cheers mate👍⛏️
Just received my Nox 800 last Friday and found your video; VERY informative I might add. As a rookie with the Nox (previous owned Bounty Hunter; Garrett, and White) I am frustrated that the learning curve seems quite lengthy. I followed your video (stopping and restarting) to set my Nox to your described settings. One question: Are the settings saved or do I have to go through the entire setup over and over? Also, do you have a website where you have a copy of your settings displayed? I don't do FB, Twitter, ect.
Hi there Gary and thanks heaps for the great feedback. Once these settings have been inputed into your Equinox 800, they will remain there during the switch on/off procedure. (Unless you do a factory preset) And no sorry I only have my settings listed for download on my Facebook group at the moment👍
Awesome video! I mostly hunt beaches on Beach 2 setting. What would you recommend as far as recovery speed and iron bias in F2 to keep from masking and and to keep from digging too much trash also. Thanks,Jeff
Thanks so much Jeff and glad this video helped mate. I would also suggest running your iron bias down as low as possible as to not mask any other targets there. Generally around 1-2 I find is good but if the machine is running stable enough, even 0. Also the recovery speed would depend on how much trash and how quick you swing. I generally hunt pretty trashy sites and swing quick, so run mine around 7-8 mostly. I would recommend at the beach probably around 4-5 and see how it goes, Generally beaches aren't as trashy though so should run fine and help give you that bit more depth. Best of luck and happy hunting mate👍⛏
You are most welcome @Jo-Anne Wykes, I am so glad you enjoyed watching and also found this video to be helpful. I also have a selected playlist concentrating on the Equinox tips and trick that I use when hunting old and new sites. Be sure to give them a watch as I am sure they will help also. Thanks so much again for your great feedback and happy hunting out there🙂⛏
Hey man thanks for the video and chat on FB. I see in the video you operate in Park 1. Have you tried the Field Modes and if you have have you noticed a difference with it and Park Mode with these settings?
Thanks so much @Appalachian History Detective I am really glad you are enjoying my Channel and videos mate. And yes, I mainly operate in park 1 mode, being the best mode to be able to make adjustments in. I have done a bit of detecting in field mode 1 & 2 but not with my coin settings included. I just stick with Park 1 mode now and that offers the best depth and setup for coin hunting for a variety of different sites👍
Hello and THANK YOU SO MUCH for the setting tutorial!! I am in a very dry mineralized area with not much grass, Do you havee settings for homesteads in very dry areas with alot of volcanic rock? Was thinking field 2 possibly?
Hi there @Catrina Tixier thanks so much for watching! The setitng shared in the video is what I use for all my hunts, whether i am detecting the goldfields, old homesteads, parks, paddocks etc. I just change up the recovery speed settings and iron bias when needed to suit🙂 I have alot of volcanic areas around me also, so i generally run my Iron bias at 0-1 and my recovery speed set to around 7-8. Then make sure to do a noise cancel and ground balance so the Nox runs nice and quite🙂 I really hope this helps and i wish you the best of luck out there hunting for future🙂⛏️
@@DigItDetecting Perfect thank you, your settings have helped so much!! Best advice I have found anywhere. Have been struggling with my Nox for years. I subscribed to your channel and can"t wait to see more from you in the future.
That is very kind thankyou so much again @Catrina Tixier it's nice to be able to share my videos and hopefully help others out there along the way to😊 Plenty more great adventures to come for future im sure⛏️
will def watch this again when i get the 800 . just checking videos out on it for now, seems like a great one to go with . I will be snorkeling in rivers, even the ocean i hope. Would you do the same set up for in a river ?
Hi @AZmmjgrower thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed. I would definitely recommend the Equinox and my settings for rivers and ocean detecting. Sure to be plenty of amazing items to be found and my settings will help work through the trash as you go. Best of luck and happy hunting for future mate👍⛏
I am really glad you enjoyed watching this video @FranksFlyTraps the Equinox 600 is unfortunately limited in what can be changed, however best advice would be to run that iron bias down low at 1 or even 0 and your recovery speed up Max at 3 mate. This will help open up the 600 and allow it to not mask those good targets amongst the trash. I really hope it helps and would love to hear how you go for future🙂 Also be sure to check out my Equinox 600 playlist below👍 Cheers heaps for watching mate! ua-cam.com/play/PLPM0FCB5p7VeoEXQoxlliD7J5oUg2542c.html
They sure will @Chris although I don't do to much beach hunting myself, there is many out there that use these settings on the beach and with great success! Just be sure to adjust that recovery speed and iron bias depending on how trashy the area is your hunting. Best of luck and enjoy mate👍⛏
Wow 😳, Holly cow 🐄, TALK about a video, watching you program your Minelab 800 is like setting a clock's time with hand's on the clock,it look's ALOT EASIER than programming the Garrett AT MAX which can be a nightmare, atleast for me.Now I know performance is where it's at and I don't know how good the performance of the Minelab is but as far as setting up the Metal detector, I'd say the Minelab 800 is the way to go, I seem to understand the directions alot more better than watching the Garrett AT MAX Video Vol 2.Now I'm thinking about getting a Minelab 800, don't think much of the cutsy audio it's putting out, I wounder if the audio can be changed? Also does Minelab have WATERPROOF HEADPHONES FOR THE 800 METAL DETECTOR ?
Hi there @Colin Burns thanks so much mate and I am so glad you enjoyed watching this video. There is plenty of great tips and tricks to learn with the Equinox 800 and such an easy machine to learn to. And yes these settings will be perfectly fine for use over fields in the UK. I have so many members now providing great feedback from all across the world, using these very settings. Best of luck and happy hunting out there mate👍⛏
Thankyou so much Sean, I am really glad you enjoyed the video and learnt a few more tips and tricks as we went. Best of luck for any future hunting mate. Cheers👍⛏
I have a 800 coming in a couple of days, thanks for this video. QUESTION... I am looking for the best machine to hunt deep in the woods for buried jars, pots, etc... hopefully containing coins and valuables. I won't be looking for items smaller than a jar. I have The Gemini and the Whites 2-box, but wondered if I could find a swing machine to use instead. (maybe not swing it, but walk slow)... Would the 800 with the right coil be a good choice? What would you recommend for under $3,000.00 usd?
Hi there @Parrot Coop that is great to hear! The Equinox 800 is more than capable to be able to locate such items buried or lost deep in the woods. It has great depth, a long lasting battery and also nice and light to carry and use for prolonged periods of time. I would highly recommend the Equinox 800 to anyone hunting for the first time and even the professionals. A great all round machine👌 Best of luck and happy hunting out there mate👍⛏
Bro, i followed your settings, went out and found 5 coins in 45 mins. One was a 1904 indian head penny. Awesome tutorial.
@Johny and Johny Jr man that is so bloody awesome to hear that these settings helped. They are pretty simple to set up and used with great success by detectorists all around the world now! I love sharing🙂
Best of luck and happy digging for future mate🤝⛏️👍
@@DigItDetectingMaria here from the UK
I'm going to try your settings this weekend 👍
though I had some problem with sea water It also ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily.
They certainly help make those deep targets stand out amongst the trash👌
Thanks again for the great feedback and happy hunting👍⛏
I have been running my Equinox 800 on these settings for a year now and everything i have found is pretty much thanks to luke and because of him sharing his settings..⛏😊 Thanks again luke and good luck out there hunting everyone.👋⛏⛏😊🇭🇲
Thankyou so much Matty and so happy to help you mate. You have had some amazing finds to, very nice work👌
Happy hunting and best of luck for future digs👍⛏
Where are you from if you don't mind my asking I was wondering if these settings would be good for US coins don't want to hinder myself
Fantastic help. Been digging chunks of rubbish for a fortnight and went over the same ground and dug up a pocket full of coins with these settings. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching @MacDougall Partnership and the great feedback! These equinox-800 settings definitely help make those coins stand out amongst the trash...especially the goldies👌
I am really glad you are enjoying and I wish you the best of luck for future hunting⛏️ Cheers heaps🙂
Hopefully you can find and save plenty more nice coins and relics before they start the rebuild process👍
Thanks heaps again mate, happy hunting out there👍⛏️
Seen your settings on silver so gave them a try.
If I can help others out there have better success then it's all worth the time and effort to shoot these videos👌 Thanks heaps bro🤝
Keep smashing those coins and relics mate, I'm sure you will be hitting on lots more targets at every site you hunt now👌⛏️
I was using Jason Jones silver settings which my mate loves and finds loads more than me, until I put your settings in and tryed them, couldn't believe it when I was out the other day I was finding more than him, plus with your settings it goes deep aswell..
May I ask what type of ground you were on please
I kid you not. I bought the Nox 800 did all the updates. I then decided to research a bit with it and came across your settings video. I changed the settings as you described and took it out for her first swing. My very first target (Boom) a white gold ring with diamonds, my 2nd target a 5c and my third target a silver ring. Ecstatic. Thank you so much Luke xx
Oh wow @Audrey Loo I am so happy for you, that is amazing!!
The Equinox is a great machine but with my settings added it certainly helps unlock those targets in trashy ground.
Best of luck for future and thankyou so much for the sharing your story, I always love hearing great feedback like this😊
Happy hunting⛏
Thanks for watching mate👍
Best of luck out there and happy hunting⛏
Excellent Luke - I thought I knew my Equinox-800 but your settings and the explanation has brought me to the next level. Much appreciated
Thanks so much @princeali1786 I am so glad you enjoyed watching and found my video to be helpful🙂
The Equinox is a great all round machine and so easy to learn and use.
(Ranging from 1 through to 40)
Best of luck hunting and I really hope this all helps. Be sure to check out some of my other videos hunting at the old house sites. There you will find plenty more tips and tricks for future im sure.
Happy Hunting and enjoy🙂⛏
Now I made the settings and went to the detection. I'm back with a feedback. Thanks for the help!
They certainly make those $1 & $2 coins sing out nice and loud👌
Thanks so much for the feedback and happy hunting mate👍⛏
G'day, happy Australian
I have the best couple of hours coin hunting using your settings I discovered more and what I to find I thought I was digging five cents to my surprise it was silver actually turned out to be one sixpence and a Three pence going by using the settings and listening to the high sounds I'd like to thank you very much your settings were nicely thank you Ray
Thanx

Best of luck and happy hunting out there for future🙂👍
GR8 to hear from someone else who uses PARK 1 to detect...(park 2 for the fine search)...ive been detecting with the nox for around 5 yrs now & its upped my find rate 50...80%, if this machine is set up rite...it WILL NOT let you walk past anything that is classed as a desirable target ! subbed ya,
all the best GL&HH Gordon "CASSOP'S NOX DIGGER"
Im really glad you enjoyed watching this video @CASSOP'S NOX DIGGER I love hunting in park 1 mode! And with my settings included, those coins and targets sure do stand out loud and clear. As you say, very hard to walk past👌
Cheers heaps for watching Gordon and thanks so much for the Sub and support mate🤝
New nox owner here I’ve had my machine for only a week now and already with the factory seethings of the nox it’s already blown my previous machine out of the water with a half dozen silvers I’ve found over my own previously hunted ground
I can’t wait to give it a crack after using your settings I’ll let you know how I go
Cheers for sharing 🍻🍻
Just got the nox yesterday, your video was a big help fine tuning my machine. Thanks a bunch from the USA in Colorado. I will subscribe.
Never delete this video my friend

Thanks so much mate, I really appreciate your feedback. Even myself spending countless hours on the Equinox 800, i feel I am still learning as I go.

Well explained! I work mostly in desert areas looking for Anything, I pretty much run the detector on field two, 50 tones and punch that horseshoe. Recently I’ve been going to parks using the same settings. I’ll go ahead and plug in your settings, It’ll be fun to try something different. Thanks!

Thanks so much @William Alvey and congratulations on the purchase of your new Equinox to mate! I am sure you will love using it for future. Best of luck and happy hunting out there👍⛏
very good video , but you did not say how to save the setting , or are they saved when you turn the machine off ??
Really glad you enjoyed watching @Peter Evans also once any settings are changed on the Equinox 800 they will automatically remain that way during the switch off and on process. No need to worry about saving. Happy hunting👍
You explain really well I’m going out today to a friends property in a known gold area and I will use your settings to see how I go. Thanks 😊
I have signed up to your FB page to download these settings... thanks.

Hey could you please do a tutorial on how to set it up just for gold thank you very much appreciate it
Not a worry at all Michela, I will be sure to do some testing next time out in the goldfields and see what works best for the mineralisation in ground🙂
Very informative! You've got to dig those nails. Just outside my back door I dug up a WWI button, in North Florida! Thanks for taking the time, can't wait to try the new settings!
Thankyou so much @Arlee Colman I am really glad you enjoyed watching my Equinox settings video, there is plenty of great tips and tricks to use when out there hunting for future🙂
Wow how amazing is that to, especially to find just outside the back door🙌 It just goes to show, you never know what's going to turn up next!
Best of luck and happy hunting out there Arlee, I look forward to chatting again🙂⛏️
Best settings video out there! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks heaps Turd Furgerson and really glad you enjoyed mate. I hope you find these settings to be helpful and would love to hear some future feedback.
Best of luck and happy hunting mate👍⛏
Thanks so much for sharing your know how. Understand a lot more now and have been motivated by your video.
Aloha. :)
Dude! These settings work great! Thank you!
Im really glad you are enjoying @darrinthompson4157 I still run these exact same settings myself today on the 800. Best of luck and happy digging mate👍⛏️
Thank you so much! I have few good old sites - and will try this over easter. And then try your mod for goldies after school holidays ;)
Most welcome Annie, I really hope they work well for you and you can unearth items previously missed or even help you pick up on those desirable items at any new sites for future🙂
Happy Hunting out there⛏
Hi I have just purchased a nox 800, But i followed your video there, but what confuses me is that once you had put all the settings in.
I found a world war 1 marine button using this programa s well as silver rings etc . Cheers
Hello from Finland. These are so awesome instructions for the 800 but do you know how these apply for the Minelab Equinox 600 or if you know where i can get them? I just got my Minelab Equinox 600 and I'm a liitle bit in need of guidance. 😊👍
Hi from England yorkshire will try these settings
Hi there @Philip Hemsworth I have had plenty of others from all around the world trying these settings also and love them. Happy hunting and best of luck out there👍⛏
G'day mate 👌 Nick in England here , followed your settings onto my nox 800 , then went to a town park I've found a few coins before . Had a great couple hours today , found a couple silver sixpence and old penny's and half penny's, also modern coins. Cheers
Wow @Nick Triker that is so great to hear mate and really pleased you are enjoying the new Equinox settings! It definitely hekps makes those nice signals stand out loud and clear when detecting👌
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and happy hunting for future mate👍⛏️
What part of Australia are you in ,? I lived in SA in the 70's , yes I'm an old geezer
Awesome stuff @Nick Triker I am based down in south west of Victoria to mate, plenty of wonderful history around me to explore⛏️
I do mostly beach hunting will these setting work in beach mode, thanks
Excellent video, I have programmed my newly bought 800 to your settings. Question, all these settings in your video that you set in Park 1 mode, when you go to Park 2, Field modes and Beach modes and Prospecting modes are all the settings for those still at default or your settings affect those modes too as well as Park 1?
Hi Luke (again) I couldn’t see any information on Threshold Pitch in your Video, is that because it’s down to the individual?
You didn’t accept the volume level for t5 , you just went back to main menus without pressing the accept button for volume of 20 .... did that save ?
Your right Matti Hahn in the video the T5 setting I did not press the Accept button on, however after adjusting it still did save with the T5 20 setting.
This is fantastic! I cant wait to try it! Im new to the nox and have been using neil jones beach to land settings. Have had decent luck but im always looking for different settings to expand my capabilities. Thank you!
Awesome to hear, I'm sure they will work really well for you also mate. They have helped so many out there already over the years and they are the only settings I will ever use on the Equinox 800.
Happy hunting and best of luck out there🙂⛏

Hi Dig It Detecting, I'm currently getting into using your setup, I just bought my Equinox 800 and noticed that my signals go berserk just signalling 50c, $1, $2 coins.. Thats just on default havent worked on it at all so I'm going to try your setup to see how it goes, I see that you are using Detect Eds Carbon Frame.. Have you attempted to use a 15inch Coil with it? Just wanted to know how it balances in terms of heaviness etc.
Kind regards
Daniel.
Thanks for your videos. I’m just starting out and I find your videos help so much.
Thanks so much Mark and your most welcome mate. I am really glad my videos are helping you learn, I look forward to sharing plenty more in future👍

I set it up like you did and wow tyvm ,now my deus 2 will be here today lol any XP DEUS 2 SHOOTING PROGRAMS?
That is great to hear @MAINELY DIRT FISHIN awesome to know that you are enjoying my settings mate. I unfortunately haven't ever owned a Deus 2, so no settings just yet for that one sorry mate.
I wish you the best of luck for future hunting, cheers mate👍⛏️
Similar to the others but way beter with the little micro changes of tones etc. Love this program! Found an old WWI marine uniform button!
Thanks so much @Frag and really glad you enjoyed.
Wow thats amazing to, what a great find. Nicely done🙌
Happy hunting for future👍⛏
(Unless you do a factory preset)
And no sorry I only have my settings listed for download on my Facebook group at the moment👍
@@DigItDetecting be a sport and email the guy the setting? just sayin!
We have found a lots and lots with this program thanks
Wow great going @Pip Jarvis thats really awesome to hear.
I am so glad my settings are working well for you! Happy hunting and enjoy🙂⛏
Thanks so much for this video. I am new to detecting and this helped a lot.
I just change up the recovery speed settings and iron bias when needed to suit🙂
I have alot of volcanic areas around me also, so i generally run my Iron bias at 0-1 and my recovery speed set to around 7-8.
Then make sure to do a noise cancel and ground balance so the Nox runs nice and quite🙂
I really hope this helps and i wish you the best of luck out there hunting for future🙂⛏️
@@DigItDetecting Perfect thank you, your settings have helped so much!! Best advice I have found anywhere. Have been struggling with my Nox for years. I subscribed to your channel and can"t wait to see more from you in the future.
That is very kind thankyou so much again @Catrina Tixier it's nice to be able to share my videos and hopefully help others out there along the way to😊
Plenty more great adventures to come for future im sure⛏️
will def watch this again when i get the 800 . just checking videos out on it for now, seems like a great one to go with .
Best of luck and happy hunting for future mate👍⛏
awesome! Do you have any setting advice for the 600?
I am really glad you enjoyed watching this video @FranksFlyTraps the Equinox 600 is unfortunately limited in what can be changed, however best advice would be to run that iron bias down low at 1 or even 0 and your recovery speed up Max at 3 mate. This will help open up the 600 and allow it to not mask those good targets amongst the trash. I really hope it helps and would love to hear how you go for future🙂 Also be sure to check out my Equinox 600 playlist below👍 Cheers heaps for watching mate!

Will these settings work on the beach or do you have a beach setting you use, any help would be great, thanks in advance
Just subscribed, thanks for the indepth video mate. Do you think these settings will be fine for fields in the uk.
Great video Luke, you made some interesting points that I hadn't thought of before.
(Sean J O'Brien) 👍
A great all round machine👌
Best of luck and happy hunting out there mate👍⛏
@@DigItDetecting Grazie from Roma Italy
