I put some Rockford Fosgate speakers in the front of my old gen3 and I can honestly say the sound was better than in my other car with its 11-speaker Bose system (Bose being massively overrated!).

Since you are opening the door panels add some insulation for better sound and thermal protection.

Yes, a sound test on UA-cam tests my microphone, youtube sound compression and your PC speakers.
