Can the seat covers be removed all together? I would like to re-upholster the seats but keep the current seats in the event I sell the car in the future.
I have a gen 4, and i live in Mexico, in which all cars are left hand driven, so, if i order this armrest, how can i specify that i want the brackets and all that stuff to be fitted properly in the correct seat? Thanks.
I hear the arm rest will strike the gear stick when seat is slid forward. What happens when I'm in neutral and someone slides the passenger seat forward to enter/exit rear seats? Also, it looks like it could rub against my wrist when changing gears. Any thoughts on these ?
Being a proper fitment as used by manufacturers, it simply flicks up out of the way. It doesn't get in the way of the gears when using them. You do have to reach around it to use the handbrake which takes about a week to get used to. I am just under 6ft tall.
@@bigjimny Thanks. My concern is that a passenger may not think about lifting arm rest before sliding the seat. Or other less regular drivers in the family
Can't really tell from the video, does the arm reat block access to the two cup holders? Also I'm in South Africa and there is a HUGE Jimny following over here, would you consider shipping to South Africa?
@@ksazubbie hi. It depends on the length of your leg as this determines where the seat back is inside the car. I am 5ft 11in and means the rear cup holder is accessible and the front cup holder can hold a short height cup of the arm is raised to put the cup in.
Picked this up from Martin yesterday. Video was invaluable in helping me with the fitting.
Very happy with armrest, and Martins professional approach.
Just fitted armrest 20mins. leave the back seat cloth in place just open the zip, easy Great product.
"armrest-systems" make them they are located in Sweden the models are the "ML285 double kit" and
"MLC310 with box".
Can you still lay the chair flat without the armrest hitting the cup holders???
Thank you. Very informative video. Keep it up!

Hello, where can I buy this armrest? The link isn't working. Thanks
That was great thank you
I don’t want to cut the OEM fabric just for armrest, the cost for the OEM fabric would be higher than armrest

I am not sure but it looks like the seat back covers can be removed, there is an airbag in there

Just add the EU Armrest adaptor (free of charge) and I swap it over.
