This really looks like a lot of fun. I'm not really a big fan of off-roading, but looks like having a Jimny could give you that peace of mind that if ever you find yourself lost in the middle of nowhere with no paved roads, the Jimny is more than enough to get you out in one piece.
Only fools travel that far without carrying spare gas and besides Jimny has better mileage so it doesnt need to refill as much as other big rigs like Jeep and Toyota that swallows gas like blackhole@@derdummeasi
I love that little monster, you buy it and you have a mini Wrangler, Defender, G Wagon, Land Cruiser J 40, Niva but in the end you still have a Suzuki!! This little thing managed to tow a stack wrangler rubicon in the woods that couldn't even move and everybody lost our minds

i reckon these will be the most popular 4x4 in about 25 years, they are the last 4x4 still made that is comparable to the good old 80s and 90s trucks. when they start rusting away and the last ones are smashed up these will be the one to have. can’t wait till second hand ones start selling cheap, i’ll be picking one up for sure once my ‘90 samurai starts falling apart

Suzuki left Canada but a dealer in my city imports these straight from Japan.. They are right hand drive.. I have one, and being Japanese, i like right hand drive lol
Ideal as a city car or a hardcore off-roader, two things that don’t often go together. Also a great daily driver, good gas mileage and sight lines. Like a motorcycle with weather protection and cargo capacity. On the other hand, definitely not good for long road trips. It’s a kei car that thinks it’s a Wrangler, and it’s just one of the best vehicles in the entire world, IMO. Bravo, Japan, you guys make great cars.

Ive fitted multi-function master blaster boomers on all 4 corners. The synchronization of the platelets is remarkable. The zoom raiders in sequence with the drop forged cram-rods gives me all the torue punt i need.
I want one but alas I am in the USA. Super jealous I love basic lightweight vehicles. I hope they come to our market one day. I would buy one for sure.
My Dad had an LJ10 - the first of these. Bloody mountain goat that was. One day when Suzuki decide to reasonable with their pricing again, I'll proudly own one of these or if I can find one, the original.

There should be more cars like the jimny. Every other comparable car got more expensive for 15 years. Defender, Jeep, G-Wagon, Land Cruiser and so on are luxury cars now. Off Road cars are for fun or work and not for cruising. I dont need that much multimedia, luxury and innovation if it raises the cars price by 10 grand or more. Even a fucking golf is expensive now.

Hi, cool comparative video. One question, it is known that 215/75/15 tires will fit without having any part of the wheel rubbing against any part of the vehicle and without any sort of modifications; is it the same for 235/75/15? Thanks
You call these modified? We run the Jimny on 33" to 35" tires here in Iceland for snow wheeling with about a similar lift as these have. We just cut into the body and wheel welds to create space for suspension travel. Today we run a Tacoma on 44" tires but there are larger rigs here with the most common tire sizes ranging from 38" to 54" tires. So much fun to be had in the snow when there is plenty of it.

The is what the new Defender should have been. Sorry Land Rover, but the new Defender is an expensive mistake, and you have probably succeeded in sending customers to Suzuki instead. These are what farmers and country dwellers really want. Not some expensive, overly complicated bling designed for school run mums. The answer is the Jimny. Most people dont really go off roading, they will mainly be purchased for daily use on PCP lease deals, but for those that want a bit of adventure, get a set of all terrain tyres on it and youre good to go anywhere, all year round, in any weather, on any road conditions and it will also be extremely reliable. Suzuki, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Toyota. Avoid everything else.
It's about 2min out of Lithgow, NSW, the actual track they're driving is a dead-end, runs along a ridgetop, but it has some great spots for photos along it.

Finally the rest of the world woke to the jimny..... On my second for farming shooting wildlife and general rural runabout ....NOTHING CAN TOUCH THEM! pulled out a drowned fully laden long wheelbase transporter two years agao when the lane flooded and towed it to high ground up a hill......like a dog on a lead needing a shit... Jimny is perfect between a quad bike and a car and beats the crap out of any mule. I use a custom ladder rack and a little box trailer for family adventures, both in the UK and Iceland.

The cream Jimny needs a different set of shocks on the rear, as the ones it had fitted were not in control of the rear at all!!!!!! See the axle and wheel jump around in SLO mo?were the white " touring" version was controlled really well.
Suzuki Jimny ; much off road fun for less money 👍. It's not necessary to spend 100000 € for Offroader where the additional equipment costs almost double the price of a Jimny's to have fun 😎
Does it feel less stable on the freeway with the lift? Get blown around by the wind at all? I'm taking mine to Tasmania soon but thinking I'll just leave it stock, so it's still pretty stable at highway speeds.
If you are mainly driving on tarmac, you should not lift the car. Its ESC is pretty terrible to begin with and will not be able to reign in a lifted chassis if the car wants to tip over.

How did they modified suspension lift kits fare on the highway compared to the stock? Is there any improvement?
No. It gets a bit more sensitive for road imperfections. Mine is like that, but for some reason I like it.
Hopefully one day they would produce 5 doors Jimnies and increase the size a little bit.

Does it feel less stable on the freeway with the lift? Get blown around by the wind at all? I'm taking mine to Tasmania soon but thinking I'll just leave it stock, so it's still pretty stable at highway speeds.
I have driven at 110ks with mine and its on 2inch body lift and 2inch suspension lift. Its abit boaty but its fine
If you are mainly driving on tarmac, you should not lift the car. Its ESC is pretty terrible to begin with and will not be able to reign in a lifted chassis if the car wants to tip over.
In saying that mine is a 2010 base model so no abs or power steering and i learnt to drive in it
