You made me remember- long ago I used to heat all brands buds and milk to make a hot cereal. It was so good. Haven’t had it in a long time. Gonna have to try it again.

I went to Costco today and couldn’t find the chocolate covered figs but it’s a big store I could have easily missed them! I did get the unreal dark chocolate coconut mini bars, which was a good find. I too have adhd and hyper fixate on certain foods for long periods of time. I think it also helps decision fatigue, there’s so much happening in my life if I don’t need to think too much about what to eat the better.

I never thought of food hyperfixations helping with decision fatigue, which I know I definitely have lately! That makes so much sense.

I don't know if I have hyper fixations that help with my decision fatigue, but I have some routines with meals that make my life SO much easier (like how my work lunches ALWAYS consist of a sandwich, a vegetable, a fruit, and some kind of snack).

I have always gagged on cottage cheese. BUT I tried the good culture brand and really do like it. I've added it to scrambled eggs and made cottage cheese toast with everything but the bagel seasoning and cherry tomatoes sliced on top.

Good culture is the best cottage cheese I’ve tried. Brand loyal for life here.

Great video 💯. Good reminder about all of your food suggestions. I wonder if you can get the premier protein pancakes anywhere besides Sam's club🤔

They are at the grocery store I work at, but I imagine they're a better deal at Sam's

I'm unsure, as I am not often at stores other than Target and Sam's/Costco

I absolutely pay attention to calorie counts for things. When I pick my protein bars I look at calories and protein because it DOES help guide my decision. (Because I can't snack at work, I find it's best to make sure my breakfasts are relatively consistent when it comes to the nutritional breakdown so I know that even if I switch things up and try a different bar I won't end up too hungry or too full when I have an opportunity to eat). Plus, I know that if I'm starting to get down in the 2-3 range on the hunger scale, 100ish calories of something balanced can get me into the 3-4 range for about an extra hour (which is often just enough if I want to avoid being in the 1-2 range by the time I eat).
The store I work at also has the chocolate covered Peeps. Same price as the $1.25 Tree right now. (I will not be partaking- both because I don't buy things from the store I work at and because I don't do chocolate-covered marshmallows lol).
I've never tried LMNT, but I'm curious about their unflavored variety (unfortunately, it's the only one I can have). I go back and forth when it comes to electrolyte supplements (my go-to is Skratch, but I've also used Buoy electrolyte drops which I also enjoy and should probably get back into).
For those who can't do the sweetener in the Fiber One cereal, Trader Joe's has a dupe. It's not AS fiber-heavy, but 9 grams for 2/3 cup still isn't bad (and really, if you break it down by weight, Fiber One only has 0.15 grams of fiber more per gram of cereal than the TJ's version, and TJ's has an extra gram of protein per serving, so it balances out).
Ok, I know I've never been able to do Stevia, but part of me is curious about the Olipop. (Though, with the cost, I'd probably be better off using acacia fiber or making Chia/Basil Seed goo to get some extra fiber into my diet anyway).
We don't need to discuss my ACTUAL food hyper fixations lately because they're kind of a problem lol, but all of this talk about fiber has inspired me to look into BEANS/legumes. I just bought some roasted chickpeas and edamame that I'm planning on incorporating into my meals this week

I firmly believe that one can following a lifestyle of total food freedom and still use nutrition labels to gather information for their food choices.
