Lovely review. I own an M4 comp andI'm in love with the car, the fact that the back seats are so roomy actually makes for some great road trips. Also with the valves closed the car is actually kind of quiet, but the tyre noise is quite a bit yes.

I have the M3 G80 manual and absolutely love it. I bought it for a weekend car, its now my daily driver. Love the design and the front grill. 👌

I really like the new big nose on these beemers, to me the old one was getting stale and this is really upping the aggression factor. I’ve forever been a C 63 fan and with news of the move to a four-cylinder the M4 might have just taken the top spot (yet to drive it to confirm). I’t great how big the backseats are and visually I think it looks fantastic, I love the Super and it’s interior and this seems to be a step up on that, if the M4’s driving feel is anything like the supra (and it very much seams to be) then we’re onto a winner.

I think the size of the Australian number plate makes it look better since it doesn't take much space on the grille itself

The BMW designers must have had a RC F and a Civic Type R in front of them when they came up with the exhaust design
A great performance car, but that grille has always reminded me of the toothbrush moustache.😆
I wouldn't have the rear wing or the stacked exhaust pipes. They look ridiculous. And so does that grille, 😆 But, can't complain about the performance. That's nuts!

Why wouldn't you do the exterior segment before you drift it all dirty?
First, they f up the front look. Now they f up the rear look. It's better to call it M4 Type R.

For everyone one who is complaining about the grille in them front, older BMW’s also had long grilles like that, before the well known kidney grille was made.
For reference, you can check the BMW 328 from 1938. That’s just one of the cars, but you can research and see for your own

What the... That m4 Comp key fob looks exactly the same as my 318i g20 keyfob. Even those new 5 series have better looking key fobs. Bmw should not be releasing m4's with basic key fobs lol.
Tip: never pay attention to any reviewers claiming fuel figures. Imagine you driving a rental car, that's how they drive these so obviously fuel is way exaggerated.
For instance I have a previous gen F82 M4. BMW claims 8.3L/100km, I get like 9-10L/100km as my drive is longer than 25 mins and fuel average goes down the longer you drive

I think BMW is doing this car a deservice with this new body design. The front is ugly for me and the body overall looks smaller and too sporty. The old design had more body presence and its sporty look was balanced and smooth. I hope BMW will go back to the old body design.
Definitely missed to demonstrate the exhaust noise after all talk about the exhaust being ridiculous and expensive.

The spoiler really detracts from the droopy lazy rear styling. Looks good. Expect to see these adorning the bootlids of every other 8yr old 420i down the line.
Wonderful engineering, ugly as F. Never gonna get let in at junctions, so expect to see angry aggressive driving.
