the interesting part about this one is that the viewer's attention isn't split across every single moving part at all time. you only look at one side's moving marbles, its weapons, and the other side's defenses. not both sides marbles/weapons/defenses
That has always been something I have had trouble with, I always end up missing some epic thing and then having to rewind to see what just happened. This way fixes that, but I do think both ways are still good.

you know what would be cool? To see a map where it's inherently unequal, because it's two previous maps/attack styles on opposite sides. Like two separate core destruction mechanics going against each other.
I especially like this one because of how it plays out - each attack gets exponentially more intense, and there is a lot of room for comebacks here. Very nice!
I gotta say MIKANs efforts in his videos are increasingly getting better and better. From simple marble races to quality core destruction MIKAN is the DEFINITION of flawless. Thank you for making this and all the other works you have made!
Holy frigging carp on a bicycle MIKAN HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH SINCE I STARTED WATCHING THEM! The twists, the real beat drops instead of random music, the organization and quality! Amazing!!

Ok I'm loving this idea. Having the marbles fired from one side switch to the other after use, creating this domino effect, quickly leads to some insane escalation!
Maybe a small detail, but I really like how the change of music is timed with the change of phase, signifying a change of the setup. You usually don't do this, and the change music comes without anything significant changing :)
I'm a novice dev, and your contents are so inspiring! I can see how so many simple systems are combined to make such satisfying videos! Reminds me how I don't need to be a very good programmer to make interesting games! Ngl, I think is my new favorite Marble Battle, and new favorite Marble Battle Format. I don't know if there's anything else to add or improve upon, but I hope to see more of this in the future. It was so awesome!
(SPOILERS INSIDE THIS COMMENT) and imagine the text above like it's written in Impact This is ginormusly destroying every record of creativity you ever had. (Now that I said that I'm waiting for a surprise part 3! Let's have a new longest video than the stage lottery!)
This actually gave me an interesting idea, what if instead of "revenge" being the theme, it's "offense/defense". so when it's your turn (aka all the marble is at your side) you can either invest in defense that will reduce damage (but disappear next turn) or attack and try to destroy opponent's core (but makes your vulnerable when it's your turn defending)
I enjoy the old school replicator style, though i also adore that i can actually keep track of one side at a time The weapons also look absolutely epic
What a turn-based game! 0:00 (lucky wheel: who goes first?) The colour marbles take turn to attack each other fiercely! Upon hitting a white barrier or after attacking [or the 2nd core which heals the core],the marble will be converted to the other colour marble… This isn’t the end after 1 core is defeated, there is another! Weapons: [round 1] 1. charge flamethrower (4 marbles of charge is required to burn for 2 seconds) (25 hits to unlock) 2. laser (1 marble for 3 seconds of shooting) (10 hits to unlock) 3. tracking missiles (1 marble for every set of 3 missiles) (5 hits to unlock) 4. bomb (1 marble for 1 bomb) (free) [round 2] 5. plasma cannon (10 marbles for 1 plasma ball) (free) 6. 5 lasers (14 marbles for 3 seconds of shooting) (25 hits to unlock)
This is easily my new favorite one yet, the visuals of the attacks are outstanding and the second phase reveal was super cool as I didn't know it was coming.

This was an absolute spectacle. These were by far the best weapons yet, both from how they acted and from how they looked, and I loved the escalation from a simple flipping randomizer to the array of cannons, lasers, and beams on every side. The only thing that was a little off was that it was a little hard to see how much shield each side had left, since the blocks were different sizes but had the same health, but other than that this was incredible.

It will shoot a lazer for around 3 seconds. -The Flamethrower (the top one) requires 25 marbles to unlock it, and 5 marbles to charge it up per use. It will shoot flames that can do high damage to the wall. Once a marble is used by a gun or to unlock a gun, it will switch colors and fall to the conveyor. It will wait for all the marbles to switch color to move to the other side and to be used by the other team. This process repeats until a core is defeated. --Phase 2-- The game proceeds into phase 2 when a core is defeated. Each side will get a new core. I find it interesting you chose to make it escalate in multiple ways, making things much more interesting. Some criticisms, though. > Excessive bloom, really. And effects. Still looks very nice though. > Red armor was very hard to see, but not outright impossible. Can you work on making it more opaque next time? > Yeah, some balls got stuck. Maybe rather than letting it stay for too long, maybe make something poke or shake to make it keep going if it stays for too long?
Very interesting format, the turn-based mechanic makes it much easier to follow what's happening. However the the inability to heal during opponents attacks kind of reduces the suspense in my opinion.
okay i gotta say this one is really cool, design, concept, all of it it's like a dark souls battle and you can just hear someone screaming *"THERE'S A SECOND STAGE"*
One problem is that the powerful weapons (flamethrower in particular) are too easily accessible. Due to the way the slope over the bearing (with six arms) is located, more balls fall into the tunnel that leads to the flamethrower than those that lead to weaker weapons. Might be a misplacement for balancing.
you should make a battle between a red and blue team and each team can develop tanks and the longer the battle takes to commence, the more weapons the teams will unlock.
the interesting part about this one is that the viewer's attention isn't split across every single moving part at all time. you only look at one side's moving marbles, its weapons, and the other side's defenses. not both sides marbles/weapons/defenses
