After the explosion of the yellow tanks, only 1 gets destroyed, the other 3 are just thrown back
Then 2 of those are destroyed by towers along the way, and the last survivor gets bombed at 10:35

and this time i want sabotager turrets that disable bombers, stopping them from exploding on death, it also can attack enemies but low damage. bombers are its top priority above all
Blue sends 32 shooters and yellow says "what counters shooters? our weakest possible unit."
Blue adds on 32 bombs, and yellow was like "hmm how many of this weakest possible unit should I send in response... hmmm... hmmm... (10 seconds go by) hmmm... hmmm... one."
Red has -1000000 skill

If there's a next time, I'd say weaponry needs to be massively improved for defense, such as a turret that places a wall in the track, which only its own colour can pass through. Likewise a bubble tower which removes a bombs ability to explode. On that same note, if the cannons can be destroyed so easily, they need to be placed far faster, such as doubling how many balls are in the cannon chamber?
Yeah or make the defense towers a little bit stronger
I think there should only be 1 bomb variant and not 2 so there is less of a chance for a suicide squad, more drone to drone action

I legit thought "how broken would a maxed out stats bombs be?" The ending was just a fraction of their Power
And the attackers to protect the bombs as well was just perfect

Yeah, I don't think that bombs should hurt any ally turrets. And that there should be a unit that acts as a shield for others. Still, amazing idea, mixing up two of my favourite genras of videogames. Have a good one, and stay safe💖
Shields are good, but bombs hurting their own units is still cool I think
@@dragonofelder5011 It makes them a win more concept that just doesn't make sense. The only way you can gain ground in this game is bombs, but if the enemy is set up all the bombs do is hurt your own. Red/Yellow fell behind and there was never a chance they ever came back. I'm usually not a fan of the always being a super weapon that is the real item that decides the match, but this was way too far in the other direction.

@@mikan2d can't wait for like a battle where marbles pick many units and their stat modifiers (that slighty change one of their stats) to destroy their base, and when one has a disadvantage, they can spawn a boss with multiple attacks and way stronger than other units

Seeing the yellow stealth units holdup blue at 9:00 I wonder could this sort of 'clogging' effect be introduced as a primary facet of another of this sort of 'race'. A sort of tug of war with the cannons there to try to aid their side of the tug of war.
Should lend itself to a back and forth, as each side would have more cannons at home till a sort of final push that wins the game.

I think the clogging is further advanced by the shape of the units being sort of a tessalation.

I think to ramp up the intensity faster there should be a point where the weakest options get locked. Like the outer two creeper columns with the lowest numbers.
getting one low stat tended to lead to another and so on, so maybe if you do this again make it alternate every value? (i.e. toughness goes 1,2,3,4,5,6 and then speed goes 6,5,4,3,2,1)

You could just play this out over and over again, without alteration, and it would be fascinating to watch. Main problem I have is that I don't know what all the cannons do (range, effects, strength, etc.) nor what all the vehicle options are. Second problem I have is that I want to play it.

He had to build the game to make the video, so most of the game is already there! But on the other hand, getting a game ready to ship takes so much more effort and fixing of unexpected issues... making game/videos is a fun middle ground between creativity and effort.

Definitely my favorites of all time!! I loved the Tower Defense concept. Here are some ideas I had that could be fun:
1: I like that each tower had a max range, but I didn't like that the tower waited until it was aiming before it would shoot. Maybe increase the rotation speed once a unit enters its max range?
2: I didn't really like the friendly fire of the units. If a red bomb blew up, it destroyed red buildings.
3: Adding a large tower as a last line of defense would be awesome as well, one that powered up slowly or unlocked at a later time
4: I loved the upgrading concept for the units, but if the ball stayed left the best unit would come and vice versa for the right side. I would love to see each upgrade stagger something like this:

Bottom line, this was so much fun to watch! I would love to see more Tower Defense videos! Keep up the good work!

Hey MIKAN, I'm actually doing game design as a job and I find your videos pretty interesting to watch and observe how the game stakes are shifting
I was wondering if you were doing a lot of runs before finding out one that has a lot of thrills and turn arounds or if you just uploaded the first one that works well ?
Also, if you're up to, I'll be glad to work and discuss how you could bring more comeback mechanics in your systems to make clutch moments happen more often :D

This is very nice, I dont think anyone would complain if you ran this multiple times and uploaded them as videos, have a canon defense series like you have some others [ tower / castle destruction series, crane game series, core destruction, etc.]

There seems to be some kind of bias for the ball to fall through the left side of the column. And since the values for each side are mirrored this gave blue a major advantage.
one thing that might make some waves a little less swingy (assuming you want less swingy) would be to combined the Size & Speed bars into a sliding scale from big+slow to fast+small, and do the same for Special & Number and as for Toughness have it combine with a new Attackpower

This is awesome - reminds me of "Castle Fight", an old map from Warcraft 3. You'd build barracks that auto spawn soldiers to fight for you, as well as towers. This has the same feel.

This is a really cool idea, especially for algadoo! The fact that you can do this is insane to me.
The twist this time is that there isn't a comeback... The ultimate winner gets established quite early on
Red was in the lead for the first 6 minutes or so. 5:55 when blue finally got a wave of bombers together is when it finally took the advantage, and dealt the damage from which red never recovered
This one was very entertaining. Me and my girl watch your vids and bet on who wins. These battle ones like this and the tree, are by far our favorites.
The last wave of bombers is simply unstoppable

There's a distinct bias in this game. The balls have a tendency to be pushed to the left side of the board options for some reason. And yet you have blue's numbers reversed, so being pushed to the left is good for them.

As an avid tower defense lover this was probably my favorite configuration yet.
The concept is overall INCREDIBLE. the only flaw is that you didn't implement the Crisis mode. I think Crisis mode would only be unlocked a few minutes into the game, and it adds an extra ball for the tower creation wheel and only occurs when theres little defending towers on the team

Every time I see a Mikan video: Increase screen brightness, video quality immediately high as possible.
Quality deserved to be enjoyed in the best conditions possible.
(Also sometimes I can't see the darker colours like Navy in marble races :P)
I've watched every video and got really bored and then excited and confused when I saw a video I didn't watch yet
There was a moment I thought yellow would pull off the win, but blue played the long game with a superior defense before sending the swarm.
I would watch dozens of variations on this one, too.
In the marble video's the navy blue never wins (or I didn't see) but in the videos like this I ALWAYS pick the winner one. Always starts really bad but with a good timing hit it always wins.
Man, I feel nostalgic! Reminds me of the olden days of Flash when I used to mash out every tower defense game I could find.
