To those who are feeling down because their favorite color didn’t win, I’ll make an effort to upload videos more frequently so we can showcase various colors achieving glorious victories. Regarding balance, I’ll post a question in the future to hear your thoughts on the direction we should take. Thank you, as always, for watching!
Фиолетовые показали всю свою мощь. Я думал красные опять победят засчёт артиллерии, но был очень удивлён когда увидел огромную неубиваемую орду фиолетовых. Спасибо большое за видео!)
Caution: This comment contains spoilers. That the two weaker lategame factions went to the finals is proof that they are a lot more balanced this time around. While both the two finalists are very weak early on, they still have their win conditions. Aliens are a fast push all-in faction and Void is a slow push durable faction so they both have their strengths and weaknesses pushed to the extremes. The only faction I'd say is still a bit too weak is Aliens. They're not my favourite for the record, I like Fairy more. Humans can win because they have ranged dominance, Fairy can win because they have equally strong Offense + Defense, Void can win if they hit critical mass. All those win conditions can happen at any time and nobody really outright counters anybody. Aliens can only win if their big boss unit is up and if they have numbers. The problem there is they have no defense units at all, they have so-so ranged units and slow average defense + attack infantry. When their boss unit gets to the front it's going to be taking ALL the damage so that fast push speed boost to all their infantry is gone quickly. Their faction power of an extra hit with each 100% chance is also very weak compared to Fairy's long lasting attack speed boost and Human's big damage boost (more projectiles = more damage). Lastly as mentioned before, Aliens have some of the worst defenses. None of their units have shields or can heal or reduce enemy damage, but they also have a pretty bad tower. All the other towers can fire out projectiles rapidly, theirs can't in favour of having homing projectiles so they have more ways to lose in the lategame when they should be stronger like Void is.
I’ve started piecing together interesting data from these. The blue team’s loss to the red team in the first round of the previous video made sense, blue team benefits from having a high percentage from its ability to make multiple extra attacks in a row. The reason blue lost to red is because the red team excels in doing a lot of damage quickly, but not consistently. Because of this, red was able to overpower blue before their percentage could reach a level that would cause them to be unleashing attacks endlessly. Blue beat green this time because green excels at preventing damage outright either by having a shield or having its units fly to avoid most melee attacks. Unfortunately, this means their only good ways of dealing with blue were to swarm them before they could attack, something that doesn’t work later in the match, and their “elite summon” who could dish out big damage. Unfortunately for green, they just didn’t have the damage output to take down blue before their percentage got high enough that all their units were making upwards of 5 attacks consecutively, effectively eliminating any green unit that took damage.
Currently watching purple vs red and again some interesting details, and a prediction (will update comment if prediction is wrong with an analysis of why I was wrong.) Purple excels at swarming, dealing lots of damage not through high damage output, but through having multiple units. This allows them to be effective at any stage of the match, but especially later on in the match where their ability activated more frequently. I suspect purple will beat red for the following reasons: their ability, just that, literally just that. Purple team’s ability to swarm and double their numbers is an incredible counter to red team. Doubling their numbers effectively negates the small bursts of high damage output red team has and allows purple to be able to afford losing a couple units to the tank’s mines. Purple’s varying sizes also helps against the artillery, as the bigger units take the rocket hits giving partial protection to all their smaller units created via eggs. Purple’s constant access to range damage also renders basic red infantry effectively worthless when they don’t have their guns, and even with their guns, a single red infantry is barely able to take down a single purple melee unit, if any at all. My prediction: Purple will absolutely wipe the floor with red team.
Prediction was correct, but there’s some things I didn’t take into account, first, I didn’t consider the aoe and sheer number of the mines being such a challenge for the purple team, however, purple team also had a counter for this, the eggs. What I didn’t realize until near the end of the battle is that the eggs can actually activate the mines too, allowing them to set off a large clump of the mines while dealing minimal damage to the front line units. However, based on this analysis, even though purple won this time, it is highly probable that a future match between these teams could end differently if red team can pump out enough artillery and tanks or if purple team isn’t as lucky with their egg usage.
Blue and purple have yet to fight and it’s time for a pregame analysis. Blue team excels during the late game with their extra attacks, however, purple excels at swarming. It was this factor that caused blue to lose to red in the first video. If blue isn’t able to get a sufficient number of troops just to keep purple at bay, I believe this match will be quite one sided as purple swarms through blue team. However, if blue team is able to keep purple at bay until they can reach let’s say 400%, a point at which they will be making 5 consecutive attacks, I believe blue will have a slightly better chance. Not a good chance, but a better chance. It’s important to take into account that even if blue multiplies their attack count, purple multiplies its unit count, allowing for larger units to protect smaller units from their ranged attack. I’m this match, blue’s most important unit will be its elite unit, both because of its capability to destroy swarms, an ability that compliments the rest of blue team quite well as they are vulnerable to large swarms, and it’s size which will protect other blue units from purple’s ranged attacks. My final prediction: purple has the edge, since blue’s victory relies entirely on the elite unit which has a high summon cost. (Will post a final analysis after watching the conclusion of the battle)
Final analysis, as expected, purple won, and also as predicted, blue’s hopes were riding on the elite unit. However, the large health pool of the purple elite along with the sheer number of purple ranger units eventually did them in. While blue may have had a range advantage, this was effectively negated by the higher hp purple units have. Additionally, purple ranged units have a barrage attack, meaning their attacks are more of a burst rather than a single projectile. This meant it could deal damage to multiple units allowing for other ranged purple units or even purple melee units to snag those kills while having to deal and take less damage. The final straw that broke the blue team was the elite comparison. Blue’s elite may have been able to counter swarms, but purple’s elite could not only serve as a massive wall to protect its ranged allies, but could also duplicate itself to create an additional wall which was just what purple team needed to make the final push. Congratulations to the Void.
@@Gold_the_Wyvolfthe aliens/mutants are the equivalent of the demons from the earlier videos. Not strong individually, but once they get a horde going they are very strong.
Your ideas for different "factions" is quite interesting because you made every type of unit have different abilities (like the green teams strongest unit having many attacks)
I can say that the rematch turned my expectations upside down. I was also rooting for humanity (the reds), but this team, although with good resistance, lost at the very beginning. In general, a rearrangement of teams played a decisive role in this match: Venom (purple) are able to reproduce and as I could see grow therefore they should be exterminated as quickly as possible. Elves (green) defeated Venom thanks to Awakening which gives archers piercing multiple enemies. Other teams also have units that can eliminate crowds of enemies, such as the blue team's T4 unit, which can cut a path to the enemy base, but he is too expensive and can be killed quickly from a distance. There is also a red MLRS that causes chaos in enemy territory, but only when the team's feature is activated, and since the feature is activated quite rarely, the purple ones will have enough time multiply and become stronger and then take the fire upon themselves. I won't deny that the outcome of the match also depends on which direction will receive more marbles: the choice of weapon, doubling or development of the feature.
This is what their super unit bonus brings, I imagine it is also impacted by their ''Mul Atk'' bonus but apparently this does not impact the power of this unit (or at least I did not see it)
