SOLVING THE (current) THUMBNAIL: From what we see in AvM, Orange is 2.5m tall due to being 2.5 blocks tall. Here we see he is ROUGHLY 4 tiles tall. 2.5 divide 4 is 0.625m, so 0.625m per tile. The side b is 9 tiles, which is 0.625 x 9 = 5.625m. The side a is 5 tiles, so 0.625 x 5 = 3.125m. Now we can find the side c using a² + b² = c². Side a² = 3.125² = 9.766m (rounded) Side b² = 5.625² = 31.460m (rounded) Which means that: Side c² = 9.766 + 31.460 = 41.406m Side c = √41.406 = 6.435m Side a is the Opposite, side b is the Adjacent, and side c is the Hypotenuse. To first calculate the bottom right angle which I will call x, we are going to use Sin (x) = 3.125 divide 6.435 = 0.49 (rounded up) Which we will then substitute into sin-1 (0.49) To receive the angle x = 29.3 degrees To then calculate the top left angle which I will call y, we will simply just do 90 - 29.3 to receive the angle y = 60.7. NOTES: Yes I ignored the Animation vs. Physics height given for Orange. I just simply don't think it's correct given that the number could be anything without any external guides to go off, like the AvM blocks. I'm bad at math so if I did anything wrong please let me know. EDIT: The thumbnail I'm referencing had a right sided triangle with all unknown values. Check the wiki for it.
At the end of animation vs physics, the alternative guy took the guy who went through the blackhole’s hat and went dropped himself into another dimension
First one learns by himself second one learns by himself again but future self helps him third one get a mentor and a enemy basically paradox at the end
So Math was the one with the most complex amount of ‘easter bunnies’, Physics was the one with lots of world building, and Geometry is the one that’s incredibly nice to look at? Makes sense.
Makes sense geometry is the nicest to look at. Geometry is full of patterns, shapes that feel like perfection. These patterns are all over nature. Theres a reason its called the golden ratio.
programming would be an interesting topic. i wonder how a transition from Object-Oriented Programming into Entity Component Systems and Dependency Injections would be interpreted in an animation like this.
I love that you colored each Platonic solid according to the classical element it is associated with: Tetrahedron -> fire -> red Octahedron -> air -> white Cube -> earth -> green Icosahedron -> water -> blue Dodecahedron -> aether -> yellow
I assumed the dodecahedron being gold was just another part of the whole golden ratio makes things gold thing, since the dodecahedron is made of pentagons, which have golden ratio diagonals.
@@DarkblueRadiance "primary color" is such a strange concept. What colors are "primary" depends on context, with there definitely being more than 4 total. At the very least, the primary colors of light (additive) are red, green, and blue, while the primary colors of inks and paints (subtractive) are cyan, magenta, and yellow [black 'K' is included in printers because it looks better than combining the other 3]. I've also seen the 7 rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) being called "primary" together. The red, yellow, and blue combination originated from red and blue having been easier to obtain than cyan and magenta, while being close enough to still be able to make most colors.
@@UltraLuigi2401 actually there’s no single set of primary colors of light or of paint. Mixing cyan, yellow and magenta you can reach more colors than red, yellow and blue, but there are still colors you can’t obtain. The space of visible colors isn’t a triangle.
I was trying to pinpoint what made this video more enjoyable than physics and math. And you hit the nail, it's the sound, the sound in the other too were nothing to sneeze at, but Alan overcame himself with this one
8:50 It's Hat TSC from VS Physics that transcended time and space via singularity. Interesting that he manifested himself in an endless sea of reflections after VS Geometry TSC solved his problems and fully unlocked the 3rd Dimension
The last one made me appreciate physics as a discipline. But this. This made me cry. This legit made me tear up in awe. THIS, is the kind of thing which tells a story and still is a better explanation of our achievements in this field and discipline. Masterclass stuff.
I love the fact that the video without its intro is 9 minutes long, and the Golden Ratio point in 9 minutes is at 5:56. Right and exactly at the moment when the pentagon appears. If you hover the cursor over the UA-cam navigation bar, the thumbnail will light up golden. Coincidence? I don't know, but it's spectacular.
As someone who actually liked geometry in high school and the Golden Ratio in college, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It also gave off vibes of things like Tron and Just Shapes & Beats.

Would love more series like this bust surrounding subjects that the other characters relate to more. Like how geometry is to orange because of his drawing, but chemistry is for blue, biology is for red, engineering is for yellow, and music is for green. And then orange could join them, possibly through the infinite versions of himself like we see here or in vs physics
@Candy_Bittersweet Based on the episode with Green chasing down Purple, along with his ability to sing, I would argue that Green is the most compassionate of the bunch. The reason I think Red to be assertion is due to his interaction with TDL, where he is the first one to charge into the fight (of course getting killed both instantly). I was going to originally say that Red was aggression, but we see how Red has acted beforehand, and it didn’t really match, as despite being erratic, he by no means seems overtly aggressive.

My favourite thing about the whole video is mostly how the different dimensions interacted with each other. How 1D and 2D were easily shattered by the 4D shape, but 3D shapes were harder for the 4D shape to break through
This four-dimensional shape, known is a 24-cell, is difficult to understand because it has no analogue in higher or lesser dimensions. Or as Coxeter states in the epilogue of his book "Regular Polytopes", the 24-cell is a shape that "stands quite alone". So as a story, perhaps the 24-cell was lonely, misunderstood, wanting friends. Very on brand for Alan's stick-o-verse.
I love how at 4:20 golden ratio tries to become Gojo by creating subdivisions between him and the shape thingy but then remembers that since each subdivision takes less and less time to cross, he is unable to mimic limitless
note: the villain is a 24-cell, a convex regular 4-polytope (four-dimensional analogue of a Platonic solid), also called C24, the icositetrachoron or octaplex (short for "octahedral complex")

Man, TSC adapting SO fast. If we talking about character lore, whenever he is on the screen he usually solve problems by making the combination of the information that he get ( like in minecraft race when he use TNT and shield). In that case he might be some sort of anti-virus (or virus) that quickly adapts to new situations. Although I'm not sure how to explain his drawing skill.
In AvA 2, we see that the sticks are technically counted as viruses, seeing as an anti-virus was able to capture TCO. So technically, TSC is a type of computer virus.

Animation vs. Programming... where it touches on gates and such! Would be helpful for this little guy to learn since the main series is in cyber space. "IF (TSC) THEN (DENIED ACCESS)". If the next one is Animation vs Chemestry as everyone seems to be pushing there needs to be the mandatory Breaking Bad reference... I also headcanon that all these Vs. episodes are dreams... since he sleeps so much.
I personally would love an Animation vs Programming! Though i think Alan‘s following a science tree concept here, with every topic building off the previous ones (so logically Animation vs Chemistry could be next, and then Animation vs Technic, which leads to Animation vs Programming). Also i love that headcanon! (maybe he dreams this stuff while he‘s in the cell in AvA, and it‘ll help him escape sometime)
7:49 We saw this character in the last scene of the Animation vs. Math episode. My guess is that TSC went first to the geometry universe, then to the mathematics and then to the physics universe. 7:49 He went with her to the mathematical universe, but they couldn't find each other, she appeared at the end of the episode.
He went to the math universe First because phi is one of e's friend that appears at the end of vs math so he probably Heard about TSC wich is why he never actually fought him
@@mobgabriel1767 I think everyone thinks that the physics universe is the last to go. The last scene of the Mathematics section and the beginning of the Physics section are similar.

This makes me want to worldbuild a magic system for "math-magicians" in some dystopian cyberpunk setting where magic is achieved by altering the math/geometry/code of reality, and where spells are just equations and functions. Countermagic would be "defining" the functions early or disrupting equations by messing with the formula. Aura constructs could be made out of manipulating geometric wireframes with a "control panel" of functions that define the shapes. Universal constants such as Pi or the Golden Ratio could be the foundations of different schools of magic.
There is a story that reminds me somewhat of this. While not exactly the same, the main character uses math and geometry to expand upon magic that already exists in the world. It's called The Academy's Undercover Professor, it's a Korean story so there is a light novel and a manwa (comic) of it. I quite like the comic, but I hear the light novel gives more detail and is quite good
I may never truly understand math. It's confusing, and complicated.. but this visual representation is so beautiful and is a great reminder why I always liked geometry in school over every other math curriculum. The golden ratio into fractals made me genuinely tear up.
2:05 tsc already knows what small numbers are capable of, so he is just backing off XD but it was nice to see Phi being friendly, bet i wasn't the only one who thought they'd fight
I’m pretty sure they’re not the same TSC. from what we’ve seen in the ending, the silly little stick fellas all come from different universes (the cowboy hat coming from animation vs physics). the one from the math episode COULD be this one though, but this is just a theory.
It just keeps getting better and better. If you consider Animation vs. Math to be the pilot episode, with its standalone story of how TSC searches for an exit and building upon the chance encounter with Euler’s identity, followed by Animation vs. Physics with its breathtaking visuals and scarily accurate renditions of a black hole, then this, Animation vs. Geometry with its stunning sound design and thrilling escape sequences (a thing that sets it apart from the fight with e as there is no fight against the mysterious object, only containment and escape, like a temple runner game), then I can only wait for what Alan and his amazing team in charge of the physics and the maths (and the geometry) behind this can cook. Keep cooking brotha
The number 1.618 PHI plays it's role as a fundamental building block in nature.. everything in nature possessed the dimensional properties that fit in this ratio 1.618 is to 1..also known as the divine/golden proportion..this ratio literally exists everywhere for example, measure the distance from ur tip of the head to the floor, then divide that by the dist between ur belly button to floor you get 1.618 u can also do hip to floor divided by knee to floor u get PHI..we all distribute ourselves in the divine proportion..and that's great you pictured it in the vid..
Animation vs Math had a foreshadowing of Animation vs Geometry. You see, the end of Animation vs Math showed the e constant with his friends, and Phi was one of them. This means that TSC was able to make friends with a friend of his friend.
That "he's back" almost at the end got me. I love the fact this is becoming a nerdy geek's favorite animation series. You've got a plot, sequences, characters,, and most importantly, facts, science, knowledge!!! Everything we need in a good story and beyond. Thank you for the hard and beautiful work. Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 ☕
I just realized something cool that I don't think anyone else pointed out yet. At the end of Animation vs Physics, TSC (the one with the cowboy hat) enters a hyperbolic space, aka a non Euclidean space. The same space at the end of this video that was filled with all the hypershapes, which is why he showed up here!
oh I just thought that was how animation vs physics started because orange fell into the shape when he was spooked by cowboy orange(for lack of a better name) and in animation vs physics it started by TSC falling into that space and we didn't have him fall in animation vs math. but hey maybe its both who knows.
@@shadowdiamond6697 It actually *could* be both, due to all the wacky time stuff that happened in Animation Vs Physics. After all, we only really got to see how one "version" (or possibility, if we're going by quantum physics) of TSC helping his past self by dropping the orbs and ropes when he was stuck on the ice. Maybe the other Second Coming possibilities that created the metal rod, magnet, solar system, and other things are actually from other episodes of Animation Vs Education that are yet to come out, and he's "collecting" the other possibilities to complete his self-fulfilling prophecy of getting to the singularity.
The way we interpret the "fourth dimension of space" is as time. He's looking through time, and sees himself from a past video. At least that's how I interpreted it.
The animation is beautiful, but can we also appreciate the music!? It goes HARD and at 4:40 and 5:44 where you match the attacks to the beats of the song? IT'S FREAKING PHENOMINAL!! You and your team did amazing!! The video is great and it really drives home just how fundamental geometry (and the golden ratio, Phi) is, and how incredbly complex it can be! Everything relevant from a dot, to a line, vectors, to creating a plane then a 3D space, Phi, angles.... Not to mention Pythagoras theorem, Fibonacci sequence, Sierpinskis' shapes and freaking fractals! Polyoctahedron being the villian is genius too... I hope to see more of these, thank you for this!
Actually, I plan to make an animation in this style with the animation, the problem is that I only have animation knowledge, not programming skills XD.
At VidCon 2024, Alan said he wanted to do Animation vs Chemistry, however one of his animators doesn’t know chemistry. Alan also said he wants to do one related to language/spelling.
I love Phi's "characterization" here. It initially comes off as just slightly whimsical and a little bit mischievous, owing to its nature as an "irrational" number, constantly avoiding TSC's attempts to catch it. But it uses its antics as a way to teach TSC (and the viewer) fundamental geometric concepts, and when it draws out the areas of each of the sides of the Pythagorean triangle, TSC finally "gets" it. TSC rotates the a² area up and resizes it to the same height as the b² area, demonstrating that a² + b² = c². Phi seems to be delighted by this, and the "handshake" seems to indicate that TSC has earned Phi's respect. When the 24-cell appears and starts consuming everything, TSC's instincts kick in. Alan originally created him as a fighter, but he's grown since and now fights to protect his friends. He immediately comes to Phi's aid without any hesitation, showing Phi that TSC can be trusted. As they're escaping, Phi draws out a golden spiral that TSC can use to (briefly) hide from the 24-cell, but it's soon back in pursuit. The rest of the battle, from using Phi as a hoverboard to TSC helping Phi build the Platonic solids, shows that the two are absolutely in sync with one another. When one starts to act, the other immediately recognizes what they're trying to do and they work together simultaneously, each playing their part. Overall it's a seamless buddy action sequence that's incredibly satisfying to watch.
The Second Coming wasn't made for fighting like Victim, The Chosen One, or The Dark Lord, TSC was born out of creativity which is why he was a lot less destructive than the other stickmen, he only fought against Alan because Alan deleted his friends.
I'm calling it now: at some point in the current Animator Vs. Animation series, TSC is going to get punted outside of stickspace into whatever dimension this is, and is going to learn to master their powers over reality just the same as The Chosen One. What we're watching right now is a prelude to the climax of the current AvA season.
i have a sneaking suspicion that all of these physics, math, etc. are all just orange going through some pseudo-mental training arc to completely unlock and understand his powers. just a hunch tho
That's DJ's theory over on AVG and it would be so coll if it turns out to be true. Imagine seeing TSC break out all the math and shape weapons against the Agents
@@bearturtle6058 none of the agents, nor grey, or TCO or TDL could access it, and eiπ (the letter E from math vs animation) seemed very surprised, like he was just pulled out of a meeting or something only to meet a stick figure, and terrified of the thought of a new being entering their realm they instinctively ran away, on top of that TSC is the only character to have such creative and immense power when using the pencil/drawing art tool. as well as the only character in these weird voids. (besides the math characters like the golden ratio, the forth dimensional monster, and eiπ.)
I honestly think this trilogy should continue. Maybe Animation vs. Biology or Chemistry, then maybe some extras like “Animation vs Aviation” or “Animation vs Computers”. Excited to be working on my _Over-Analysis_ explainers once this releases! -galliums
"Animation vs Computers" is interesting. Maybe TSC will play with binary (again another thing that includes numbers), or something like logic gates, you know what I'm talking about. There is a theory where TSC codes with a programming language (like Python, Java, or C++) where he defeats a boss with the power of coding, like destroying it somehow like in Lua (I'm more into Lua cuz y'know people make games in Roblox) where TSC writes "Boss:Destroy()" or "Boss.Parent = nil".
Yoo Alan, I have ideas for THIS. Animation vs Math (done) Animation vs Physics (done) Animation vs Geometry (done) Animation vs Biology Animation vs Chemistry Animation vs History Animation vs Geography Animation vs Literature Animation vs Astronomy Animation vs Computer Science Animation vs Economics Animation vs Philosophy Animation vs Psychology Animation vs Sociology Animation vs Music Animation vs Art Animation vs Engineering Animation vs Environmental Science Animation vs Meteorology Animation vs Politics Animation vs Medicine Animation vs Robotics Animation vs AI Animation vs Mythology Animation vs Sports Science Animation vs Linguistics
TSC is gonna wake up in the box being like "So knowing maths wasn't enough, now I know science, geometry, biology, physics, geology, metallurgy, philosophy, politics, javascript, C++, C#, Python, Basic, html, history, strategy, poker, and trumpet. I'm ready."
With the ability to use the goddamn paintbrush and brainpower, you know he's going to somehow create one of, if not, the most powerful ability we have yet so see in Alan's works
The part of the fight against the Tesseract where TSC was falling was such a good use of the concept and all the tools at their disposal. That was amazing

SOLVING THE (current) THUMBNAIL:
From what we see in AvM, Orange is 2.5m tall due to being 2.5 blocks tall.
Side a² = 3.125² = 9.766m (rounded)
Side b² = 5.625² = 31.460m (rounded)
Which means that:
Side c² = 9.766 + 31.460 = 41.406m
Side c = √41.406 = 6.435m
Side a is the Opposite, side b is the Adjacent, and side c is the Hypotenuse.
To first calculate the bottom right angle which I will call x, we are going to use
Sin (x) = 3.125 divide 6.435 = 0.49 (rounded up)
Which we will then substitute into sin-1 (0.49)
To receive the angle x = 29.3 degrees
To then calculate the top left angle which I will call y, we will simply just do 90 - 29.3 to receive the angle y = 60.7.
NOTES: Yes I ignored the Animation vs. Physics height given for Orange. I just simply don't think it's correct given that the number could be anything without any external guides to go off, like the AvM blocks.

I love that you colored each Platonic solid according to the classical element it is associated with:
Tetrahedron -> fire -> red
Octahedron -> air -> white
Cube -> earth -> green
Icosahedron -> water -> blue
Dodecahedron -> aether -> yellow
I assumed the dodecahedron being gold was just another part of the whole golden ratio makes things gold thing, since the dodecahedron is made of pentagons, which have golden ratio diagonals.
@UltraLuigi2401 Makes sense but it was also the last primary color left to use there.
@@UltraLuigi2401 ok
@@UltraLuigi2401 actually there’s no single set of primary colors of light or of paint. Mixing cyan, yellow and magenta you can reach more colors than red, yellow and blue, but there are still colors you can’t obtain. The space of visible colors isn’t a triangle.

I would love to see An Animation vs Programming

Yes, i wanna see animation vs programming
7:49 We saw this character in the last scene of the Animation vs. Math episode. My guess is that TSC went first to the geometry universe, then to the mathematics and then to the physics universe. 7:49 He went with her to the mathematical universe, but they couldn't find each other, she appeared at the end of the episode.
8:50 This hand waving incident may occur in the next episode
He went to the math universe First because phi is one of e's friend that appears at the end of vs math so he probably Heard about TSC wich is why he never actually fought him
I just noticed that in the Math video Phi was movining in ratio length.
@@mobgabriel1767 I think everyone thinks that the physics universe is the last to go. The last scene of the Mathematics section and the beginning of the Physics section are similar.
I doubt because here TSC already knew how to do additions, shown in the Pythagoras Theorem scene. In the math episode he didnt.
Can we please get Animation vs History, where TSC uses a time machine to go back to important moments in history.
E.g. Dinosaurs, Ancient Egypt, etc…

Animation vs. Chemistry
Animation vs. Music (Yes, the Minecraft Note Block animations are there already but the weird world of music composition is complex and they also contain arrangements and complex note symbols).
Animation vs. Biology
Animation vs. Astronomy
Animation vs. Natural Science
Yes animation vs. music!
They probably won't make animation vs. astronomy, because much of it is covered in animation vs physics
animation vs music sounds really good!
Animation vs. Logic
Animation vs. Engineering
Animation vs. Aeronautics (i plead for this as an avgeek)
@@shigmydig124-pu4ww I feel like Aeronautics was kind of covered in Physics, but a more precise dive into it might be worth its own video. We'll have to see what Alan and the team come up with!
Imagine the school of pi waging war with eulers number xdd, each number would have to tie in with what they are connected to though
imagine the high council or something does calculus
anti life equation
There is a story that reminds me somewhat of this. While not exactly the same, the main character uses math and geometry to expand upon magic that already exists in the world. It's called The Academy's Undercover Professor, it's a Korean story so there is a light novel and a manwa (comic) of it. I quite like the comic, but I hear the light novel gives more detail and is quite good
An anime with a similiarish system is "the iceblade sorcerer will rule the world"
Animation vs math: was the most confusing
Animation vs Physics: was the most creative
Animation vs geometry: With the coolest music
Animation vs Chemistry: would have the craziest visuals

Animation vs Computer Science: will be the most confusing (more confusing than Animation vs Math)

2 Filho do homem, profetiza contra os profetas de Israel que profetizam, e dize aos que só profetizam de seu coração: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor;
10 Porquanto, sim, porquanto andam enganando o meu povo, dizendo: Paz, não havendo paz; e quando um edifica uma parede, eis que outros a cobrem com argamassa não temperada;

True
The number 1.618 PHI plays it's role as a fundamental building block in nature.. everything in nature possessed the dimensional properties that fit in this ratio 1.618 is to 1..also known as the divine/golden proportion..this ratio literally exists everywhere for example, measure the distance from ur tip of the head to the floor, then divide that by the dist between ur belly button to floor you get 1.618 u can also do hip to floor divided by knee to floor u get PHI..we all distribute ourselves in the divine proportion..and that's great you pictured it in the vid..
Yeah, it's really sad that in this educational video, Alan included this long debunked nonsense.
The golden SPIN
Weird that a pentagram has the Phi tho

I just realized something cool that I don't think anyone else pointed out yet. At the end of Animation vs Physics, TSC (the one with the cowboy hat) enters a hyperbolic space, aka a non Euclidean space. The same space at the end of this video that was filled with all the hypershapes, which is why he showed up here!
oh I just thought that was how animation vs physics started because orange fell into the shape when he was spooked by cowboy orange(for lack of a better name) and in animation vs physics it started by TSC falling into that space and we didn't have him fall in animation vs math. but hey maybe its both who knows.
Yup, I think that a neat way to start the physics story
What an amazing theory@@mssheeba1965

One thing I like about these types of videos is that it gets progressively more complex as it goes on
I love Phi's "characterization" here.
Overall it's a seamless buddy action sequence that's incredibly satisfying to watch.
whole plot of a movie tbh
The Second Coming wasn't made for fighting like Victim, The Chosen One, or The Dark Lord, TSC was born out of creativity which is why he was a lot less destructive than the other stickmen, he only fought against Alan because Alan deleted his friends.

"Animation vs Computers" is interesting. Maybe TSC will play with binary (again another thing that includes numbers), or something like logic gates, you know what I'm talking about.
