    Nice dude, great video again! And for anyone wondering, all of those plugins are exactly the same in Logic Pro X (and I believe the free version, Garage Band, as well). So if you were to be recording the audio for your podcast or video through one of those softwares instead, you could build a plugin chain with the same exact plugins in Logic, just like Will did here, and get essentially the same result. The only slight difference is you may need to use something different for the "Voice Isolation" portion, but that would likely not be as necessary in a studio or indoor environment.

    Hope this was helpful! This is a bad example of a noise gate, I struggle with removing the breaths, so if anyone has any tips on noise gates, let me know and it can also help someone else out.
    Thank you for watching!

    Another amazing video....I said before that I added you to a list of great UA-cam videos I keep but in your case, your videos need their own list, it'll be called the "Will Hall's List"....I've purchased a lot of courses to learn FCPX but your way of showing and teaching is really great, to the point and clear. Thanks again Will. By the way, totally loved the video preview: you sitting in the trunk of a sweet ass Tesla, your legs dangling from the edge of the trunk, and leading lines atop a parking garage, all topped off with an obvious A frame of a bridge out back. Niiiiiice👍: super well composed shot, Will....

    Bro, this is not Will Hall, this is Hall of Fame! It is exactly what I was waiting for. I am gonna check it out and save presets. One more thing: Although this video is about 12 minutes, it doesn‘t bother me. No gossip, always quick and dirty on the point 👏. I like it, I like it! (Sorry, my english is rusted. Greetings from Germany)

    11:42 The compressor brought the traffic back up. The noise gate deals with it when not talking, but the result is that we hear the traffic pulsing on and off. Then the last play through reduces the voice isolation and that sounded way better. Did you also change the noise gate settings at that point?

    • @willhallfilms
      @willhallfilms  Рік тому +1

      Good point. I should have added more voice isolation to get rid of all of it

    But your sound on this video sounds not good, especially in high frequencies ( s, ch, c) you can cut this frequencies using equalizer.

    Great video! I use FCP as well and really struggle with my audio. You shared some tips I haven’t explored yet and now I know how I can try to address some of the audio issues I have. Side note, I have to use hum removal with my lapel mic and when I do it gives a slight digital quality to my voice that drives me bonkers…any ideas on how to fix? Keep up the great work!

    • @willhallfilms
      @willhallfilms  Рік тому +1

      Thank you 🙏🏻 for the hum removal issue, I actually haven’t figured out a solution for that either. Hum removal always makes my audio sound digital as well when and if I use it. I would say try voice isolation to see if you can get better results when removing the hum. I hope that helps

      @@willhallfilms I am using the voice isolation at this point, I am thinking it is time to invest in a different mic. I have to research the best option, I am not typically on camera and move around a little when I am recording so a stationary mic picks up the near/far when I am talking. Thanks for replying!

    Easy!? So all plugl ins are within fcp in audio effects bottom rt corner search? Also askin how or if plugins can be created and sent from logic or garage band as a plugin to fcp if or would help beyond what is mentioned in this video? Im slow so i can make easy extremely difficult. I def picked up on some key features of you video that makes worlds of difference! No wasted time on this channel. go go go vs slow to pro simply put in less than 30.Thank You

    What are you filming with in the Tesla shots and the studio??
    Intrigued as good quality and using the ride mic for home and in the car???
