Man, this is got some gold in it. How to use compression...how to use the equaliser effectively...etc. Well done.
Man. As someone just getting started making UA-cam content, I must say, this is prob the best video on FCPX audio I have come across. Precise, to the point and great tips. Well done!
I was about to write a comment like this
I've been editing for 15 years and your tip just blew my mind. Thank you, that's amazing.
Wow dude that is plain, clear and straightforward instructions! I’ve always been interested in improving my dialogue audio quality but worried to even add the channel EQ or compression effects but you made it look easy! I’ll try them now for my next video thanks!
I can't thank you enough for this video. Seriously. I have done more than 100 videos in my UA-cam channel, and never I have processed like this before. Then I did and I am amazed.
oh my god. ive been syncing video manually for YEARS didn't even know FCP had the option to sync it. THANK YOU.
Golden evergreen content right here on audio mixing 🔥
Switching to final cut from Premiere was literally so worth it, I had to buy an entire new computer but honestly editing in FCP is so so much easier and more fun.
I did the same thing. Used Premiere for years. I now work faster in FCP.
Your tutorial was really helpful and it did make my audio sound better. I liked that you went straight to the point, clear, efficient, no BS, no time wasted. Thank you very much !
Great video! Thanks. Easy to understand. Straightforward. Beneficial. We are just starting out and wish we would have known this 27 videos ago. Thanks again!
Kudos to you for this video man. Only FCPX audio related video I can find that's not advertising any plugins.
Good job buddy. You're the king of audio! You should teach this in schools.
You're my new favorite FCP Info source. Your delivery is practical and simple. Thank you for being here!
I just found your video after searching for how to make my audio sound better. I just bought myself a Shure mic for voice over work . I followed some other videos but i just wasnt able to follow them easily but when i watched yours it now makes sense. Thank you for explaining so well, you're a talented young man. Im subbed
Thank you SO much for this inspiring tutorial- definitely will use for my own audio endeavors in FCPX!! :)
Always learning soething new, thank you for the great tutorial
Thank you so much, Josiah! This was incredibly helpful!
This is EXCELLENT info, thank you! Currently dealing with a little iMovie-to-FCP overwhelm, this helped a lot!!
MY MAN. Thank you for COMPRESSOR tutorial and the threshold dB.... -18 is the sweet spot for me. Also pro tip for anyone doing voice overs at home .... use a blanket. Kills the 'echo' noise.
Thank you, thank you and thank you again. This tutorial helps me a lot! Well done!
Super helpful, thanks. That was really clear, and just when I was thinking "that would be a pain in the butt to do for every audio file," you explained presets. Perfect! Thanks!
Dude, really helpful. Nice stuff! I love finding great UA-camrs that don't have TONS of subscribers. Golden nuggets!
Such a great channel found today.
Learned a lot in this video and Subscribed .
Thanks for sharing.
Cool! Many thanks, really like your ideas on how to make the sound soo much better. THX
Damn...Thanks. I don't usually leave comments but this helped out TONS! I have watched a lot of these but yours just hit the spot. Great Job and thanks again.
Derik H thanks man!
thanks brother for taking the time to make this video I found it very helpful
Probably one of the most useful pieces of advice I have come across regarding audio with FCPX. Great stuff!
Great tips, Josiah. It is a crime you don't have way more subs. Thank you so much for sharing.
Awesome! I'm editing a film right now & this is really helpful!
Great video! I’ve been looking for something as simple as the steps that you went through! Thanks so much! New sub here!
BEYONG GRATEFUL! Thank you a million times over. 😁
Very useful, straight to the point. Thank you!
Really appreciate the simplicity, Josiah! Thanks for sharing your process! I have a lot of respect for the pro audio engineers, but their videos went over my head when I was just looking to optimize audio in a few minutes.
This was exactly what I needed. I'm moving from Premiere Pro and I'm looking up all the different tutorials for everything I haven't figured out yet. Audio was at the top of the list.
This is amazing. I wasn't sure if I should stay with DaVincci Resolve or upgrade to Final Cut, but now that I know I can get my audio sounding great I'm going to buy it. Thanks!
Wow, that video was awesome! Thank you for creating such great content!🙏♥🙏♥
Can't wait for the next one!👏😊👍👏😊👍
Very clear and helpful video. You didn't try to cover too much information in a very short time like many tutorials do. This was a great video.....Take care, Bluefin.
mustang774 thanks man. I try!
Excellent Josiah. I got a lot of value from that!
Super video, very well made. Love your whole setup, you could make another video about the editing of frequencies, why they are good and bad.
Love it, thanks for sharing!
Precise and to the point. The reason I was forced to subscribe to your channel. Also because you didn't ask once in your video to like and subscribe like all other UA-camrs!
Great video Josiah! nice and simple
Great video! I will definitely be using these techniques on my videos going forward!
great stuff!! wish u lot of success with your channel!! You deserve more popularity for sure....
best wishes from India !!
Hey thanks so much for this - how on earth do you only have 3.57k subscribers?? Keep doing what you do and you deserve to blow up! Yours, #BlackBeltBarrister
after seeing a few tutorials, I would say yours is the best one so far. Very clearly explained, short and brief.
I think you just saved me at least 5 months of work. Thanks for this tutorial. This was by far the best one I've seen on this topic, and that's with years of doing this and watching tutorials on it.
Awesome.
Great vid and thanks for your quick run though audio here.
Great video! Fast, to the point, full of great tips, and your delivery is awesome too. Thanks for sharing!
Your video saved me a ton of time. Thank you.
Been working on Premiere Pro to enhance audio and then import it on FCPX, this is so helpful as I am still new on using Final Cut.
Thanks for this tutorial!
Josiah! Brother, thank you so much for this. The best tutorial I've found on editing V/O on FCPX!
Great TUT - You're a natural, to the point, quality! Love it and thank you!
Short and to the point, excellent!
Thank you this video really helped me with my audio on my videos
This is such a great video! With summer in full force in the US, I've had *tons* of air conditioner noise in my audio. I was thinking about getting a lav mic (still am) but this helped me remove some of that noise and make the audio workable for the time being!
It was very useful. You are a great communicator 👍
Super Helpful - Thank you very much. My (hopefully) growing subscriber base thanks you as well! I'm very excited about the improved audio on the latest video I'm working on!
Great quality and straight to the point!
Clear explanation and instruction without a bunch of unnecessary filler - great video! Thank you.
Thank you, Josiah! This was very helpful and easy to follow. I love the sound quality of your video.
I just logged in just to say thank you! Best audio tutorial on FCP.
This was a very helpful video. Thanks man
Great! Can't wait to apply it and see how it turns out!
Thanks, man. Your audio sounds great.
Your tutorial was great. Thank you.
You deserve the world and more, for making this video. This helped me a huge amount with my first video
Excellent work! Very Helpful!
Really solid workflow! I‘ve got one suggestion: rather than using the compressor you should use a limiter (basically just a strong compressor with output control). The idea here is to have control over the output level so you don‘t run into clipping. Must make sure though that the limiter is always last in line of the audioeffects!
Hi I also use Limiter but I'm curious as to why it needs to be the last effect used on the audio selection??
@@thepmaexperience because the limiter puts a limit (as the name implies) to your output decibel levels. Any effects after that could increase levels over that limit. Also be aware that clipgain is always applied after effects so that will also mess with the limiter output levels.
Very good and clear and helpful. Thank you. Just bought FCP and this will be really helpful. As a musician I know about audio mastering from the music recording end but this has shown me how to do it in FCP.
Clear and Simple good job
Great tutorial! Thanks.
