Every playthrough where I have Karlach on my main squad this man dies. For those I don't... well Wyll may be my conscience but I will admit that Lawful evil plotting can allure me back to my true alignment. Maybe the order of 2 chosen of the dead three can keep this brain under control and keep Bane's hand from overstretching the tyranny. I will see when my Durge gets there but my Tav is already plotting his murder.
With how gortash grew up, I imagine durge is the only person that could come close to a true friend for him, from the journals it's clear they greatly admired each other. my headcanon is pre-Orin durge' while always planning to betray Gortash was going to enjoy whatever they could about being a tyrant until the urge could no longer be contained At that point out of respect, unlike the countless innocents slaughtered in cold blood durge would ofter Gortash a duel and a fighting chance
I personally think that he is retired, just wants some peace and sleep, but because of his own mistakes, and also just bad luck, he keeps needing to be saved.
When he says "Bane teaches his followers to reward those who support his Chosen," but then turns on you if you agree to give him the netherstones. I'm curious, is that some sort of contradiction within his religion? I understand he can't see the protag as an equal if they give him the stones so easy, but attacking/betraying the MC doesn't sound like rewarding them for cooperating xD
@@BloomingFireHeart i see what you say, (fyi he does the same thing whether youre playing durge or not) but why not just rule over them rather than attack/try to kill the MC? If he likes the durge/tav so much, at least they'd still be around and not dead xD Also in the texts, Bane does not ultimately share power anyway- he planned of kicking the other gods out of the grand design once he had enough power, so unless I'm wrong, it's more efficient to Bane that Gortash subjugate the MC rather than killing them outright. Just seems counter to both Gortash's wants/needs, as well as Bane's
It's a test to see if you're/you've become gullible. If you don't hand over the netherstones, he praises you for seeing through his scheme/being skeptical.

... This Ardyn Izunia-looking MFer...
Me thinking about canon tav the white dragon born: I don’t know who did who but I can feel it happened
With how gortash grew up, I imagine durge is the only person that could come close to a true friend for him, from the journals it's clear they greatly admired each other.
my headcanon is pre-Orin durge' while always planning to betray Gortash was going to enjoy whatever they could about being a tyrant until the urge could no longer be contained
At that point out of respect, unlike the countless innocents slaughtered in cold blood durge would ofter Gortash a duel and a fighting chance
JUST SCREW ALREADY!
7:02 Like how you 'rewarded' Karlach? Lying little weasel
bro is down bad 💀💀💀
Is he just explaining that whole thing in front of so many people?
First time I hear Gortash voice… not sure about it… 😅
Why is doordash, mm Gordash., is like every woman's Ex?!
Imperators voice drives me so mad. Bro he is so annoying
Zevlor comes off as a pathetic, geriatric, weakling who's only purpose is to be saved...how was he ever this badass Paladin?
I personally think that he is retired, just wants some peace and sleep, but because of his own mistakes, and also just bad luck, he keeps needing to be saved.
these gortash simps in the comments are so gross
Whos still simping after all this time? 😂
He's my favourite protagonist!
My theory is that he liked Durge a lot and he saw Durge as an equal. He doesn’t really want Durge to see themselves as beneath him.
@@BloomingFireHeart i see what you say, (fyi he does the same thing whether youre playing durge or not) but why not just rule over them rather than attack/try to kill the MC? If he likes the durge/tav so much, at least they'd still be around and not dead xD
Also in the texts, Bane does not ultimately share power anyway- he planned of kicking the other gods out of the grand design once he had enough power, so unless I'm wrong, it's more efficient to Bane that Gortash subjugate the MC rather than killing them outright. Just seems counter to both Gortash's wants/needs, as well as Bane's
It's a test to see if you're/you've become gullible. If you don't hand over the netherstones, he praises you for seeing through his scheme/being skeptical.
