I hope that eventually we'll get a patch that includes Gortash as a romance option and have an ending with him. Or maybe at least a one night stand with Durge. Plus the ability to choose if Durge had a romantic and/or sexual past with him. Just give a few lines of narration in camp thinking it over after this conversation with three options which amount to yes, no, and ambiguous.
Yes please! If there's a way to spare Alfira in a Dark Urge run, there should be a way to spare Gortash. Or, like you said, at least have a one night stand like we can with Mizora. At the very least, leave that kind of ending to only the Durge run. Monolgue options to feed narration are really great ways to build up the Tav you created in a roleplaying aspect, so adding the Dark Urge musing about Gortash would be an excellent way to do that without needing to create a lot of branching dialogue options as is typical in BG3.
Thanks for posting this! I saw two different videos earlier and was wondering if I was losing my mind as to the differences. But this proves I wasn’t just seeing things. There’s a line Gortash can say: “I tolerated Orin-but I liked you.” And it shows if you’re alone. Without Karlach, his facial features, eyes, and body language all are downright soft. He shows actual warmth towards your character. With Karlach, his approach is very cool, distant. Not sure why I doubted myself before, because it’s EXTREMELY noticeable. The distinct difference between the two encounters is just a really neat detail in my opinion.
You're spot on!! You're so right. I find the difference so very noticeable when he says, "Indeed you are. Look at you - cold-blooded as ever," in response to picking: "I'm back now, and a reckoning awaits." With Karlach 6:07 vs Dark Urge alone 7:22
Exactly, when going alone he appears to be hopeful that his friend is back, but with Karlach he looks like: Oh, well, he/she is with Karlach. Not the one I know. lol
Oh yes, he definitely seems to be disappointed when you’re with Karlach! A lot of the lines are the same in either encounter, but some of his words are actually different. At least, I think they are. I can’t seem to find it right now, or maybe I saw it in another video-but I think when you confirm you’ve lost your memories, he’ll either say “Let me clear up some mysteries, then. It’s about time, I think” if you’re with Karlach, OR he’ll say, “Let me clear up some mysteries. You and I share so much history” if you’re alone. A small difference but it carries a lot of weight, especially in its delivery.
He’s really twirling his hair and looking bashful when it’s just Durge. That’s honestly so cute I’m so mad lmao
He's so much softer when it's just him and Durge why on Earth could we not get an ending with him? 🥺
Maybe in the definitive edition.... we can hope, lol

His facial expressions are so fricking warm and affectionate when you talk alone, I- man I can't, my heart can't.

@@Athanasia_Oh yes, you’re right! Same exact line from him both times, and yet his entire manner is wildly different for each. Love that!

@@starkistlubbers9470 It seems there is also another cut line saying: "there is so much for us to catch up on, dear bhaalist"
the expressions when they’re alone. can they let us kiss him already
UA-cam hates me so please check the description for timestamps lol
i love your character, she looks perfect
Buddy, if you're gonna do a video like this, maybe try recording it with the volume higher than 5?
