Very cool. I’m a drummer/audio engineer/theater technician. I have a Yamaha recording, just can’t use it in my small homestudio here in the Hague the Netherlands, wich is a shame. I just moved into my new appartment a few months ago, and still have to setup my studio room. I’ll be doing mostly mixing/mastering, and some recording like vocals, guitar or DI stuff. Very inspiring video!❤ Have a great 2024 and many happy recording sessions!

Nice Realistic receiver! STA-2000D- same I have in my dining room. Bought at a flea market for 25 bucks around 2000 and it's still going strong- just needed to clean some contacts but otherwise great. I think it's from 1979.

Woah, I immediately recognized that console as an Eclipse! Definitely don't see them in the wild very much! The only other one I've seen lives at Russian Recording in my hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, and they've basically rebuilt the entire thing.
Edit: apparently it "was" the only Sphere Eclipse Type II ever built, also preceding the A series!

I saw those Trident consoles when I was at AES a few years ago. Very good build quality and easier to service than my old Toft console from PSI Audio. IIRC you could even custom order any number of channels with both input and output transformers on the 88 model. If I did more tracking a 16 channel Trident 88 with 8 channels of input/output transformers would be the ticket.
With those EQs on the way in your mix would mostly be done even before mixdown. Yeah the 88 is more $$$ but time is money and ohhh the time it would save. I primarily mix and went with a SSL 4K because of the new technology that is out now with the Atomic power supplies/Tangerine automation system.
Casual microwave at 27:24 just hanging out and keeping an eye on the renovations. One can never quite know when/where the moment will come that a hot pockets needs to be heated up. The owner looks like he's leaving no stone unturned so far...

The flow of this studio is so unique. It’s just like mine in that the studio desk isn’t off a back wall but kind of in the middle of the room. Sometimes you just got to make the room work for you and figure it out later. (MAKE MUSIC)

This studio definitely is quite a bit different. No neves, warm audio, api, etc! Never heard of the board nor half the stuff in the rack. Different is always awesome!

I thought ProTools HDX rigs were 0.7ms latency, not 3.9? I've never heard of any native system offering less latency than a properly used HD rig, unless I'm missing something? Can someone elaborate? I'm well aware of ProTools DSP plugins, in this test perhaps he wasn't using HD DSP plugins which was causing more latency? 3.9ms on HDX is alotttttt
