I work on the farms that grow your wheatgrass products. I have learned that these green drinks are also the best electrolyte drinks, as well. This iced drink is the most satisfying and energizing drink for working all day in the hot, windy west desert of Utah. Chlorophyll is really good for altitude sickness when you have a hard time getting enough oxygen. It will help deodorize the body and gets oxygen to the heart. It’s really good stuff. And makes sense that it is an anti-cancer food because it gets oxygen to the cells and cancer hates that.

It wasn't the wheat in the grass that made you feel sick. Wheatgrass juice is a potent detoxifier, and it stirs up those toxins already in your body to eliminate them. So it was the stirring up of those toxins that caused your digestive issues. It's temporary, obviously, as the toxins are eventually eliminated. I suggest you re-challenge yourself (leave the kids out of it for now) with a smaller amount, and then build up from there. I prefer it on an empty stomach, and never had any issues tolerating it. I would try it that way, as it might've been the combo of the grass and the other contents in your smoothie that contributed to your discomfort.

I'm 32 now, I've had joint pain, especially in my knees since I was 14. At first I thought it was just growing pains, then I thought I had bad genetics for joints. Eventually, I came across the idea of perhaps my diet was effecting me, as when I traveled I noticed my inflammation levels changed in conjunction with my eating habits. Fast forward to finding keto and wow what a difference. After about 2 weeks, I noticed that my wrist pain that I've had since freshman year in college was gone (I broke my wrist and it had bothered me since) and then I noticed that going up and down stairs no longer bothered my knees. I kept doing keto for a few more weeks and then wanted to test it. So I went on a carb heavy diet. Nearly a week later I could barely turn my wrist it hurt so bad. I did several more keto on and off rotations and the results were the same every time. On keto my joint pain is nearly non-existent and on my old diet the inflammation is nearly crippling in comparison. I would challenge anyone who suffers from chronic pain to try keto and give it a month to see full results. You won't regret it...

I suspect that if your ancesters have eaten rice as stample food for generations, you might tolerate it pretty well (in moderation) if you are healthy. For me - whose ancestors didn't eat rice - rice is the worst thing for my blood sugar. Even black rice (NOT the same as wild rice), which is said to be lower in carbs and which tastes delicious (I love rice - just can't eat more than a spoon or two without getting in trouble). But I can eat some potatoes in a meal or one slice of (gluten free oats) bread without the same kind of issues.

@@matrices3987 lemon & chillies are only added in the cold version of molokhia which done only in the very rural upper parts of Egypt, while the rest of Egypt and the Arab world would cook it as a hot stew, and will add loads of garlic and a bit of dried coriander powder ,salt, cinnamon & black pepper powder ( like half a small spoon of each in the final step of cooking it) when the chicken or meat molokhia ( with onion & garlic as well, and a chicken stock cube) stew is done , and frying the mince garlic separately with these spices to add them to the pan as a final thing to do, yet I imagine of course consuming wheatgrass is much easier and refreshing in summer time.

Are you saying buckwheat, potato and corn flours are better for health because they contain no gluten? I know in French Brittany buckwheat flour became a mainstay of the food culture there because at some point in history there was a decree stating farmers should produce a certain amount of buckwheat because it is highly nutritious and easily produced. Lots of recipes we can't do without gluten, but maybe there are substitutes?

the reason you choose wheatgrass because it is in a form of GREEN , anything close to earth is essential to our body , the more you go up to trees , such as fruits the more its not beneficial , compare roots to greens (herbs) to vegetables to fruits , when you compare the health problems from fruits with vegetables and greens and roots youll see how much we need to be close to earth as possible , and since the earth emitting negative ions and the positive ions in the air , these both effect on our health
