i have 70+ videos now and uploading on a daily basis already for 3months already, yet, still less than 200 subscriber.. or maybe there is still another way to propel it up?
I place an upper time limit on the amount of time I spend editing, which helps me avoid burnout. Without this limit I would make endless tweaks and edits to my videos, but the vast majority of these small edits would go unnoticed by the audience.
That's a great idea but my problem is lam new too you tube and shooting with a phone and editing over a phone is really tedious. So lam stuck in quarantine with just my phone, l wish l could bring my laptop.... still got 2 videos to edit and my phone's memory is running out.... silly times ...need to figure something out .., any input would be great.
I honestly cannot think of any person that contributes more to the "new UA-camr community" than Sean Cannell. Thanks Sean, for all that you do. It is noticed, and appreciated!!
Heyyyyy I started in 2020 and I completely agree. A movie is never finished it's abandoned. Some of my videos used to take me 4 hours, but luckily with mentors like Think Media I can now edit super fast on imovie and final cut through short cuts (also learned from skillshare). A video takes me on average 2 hours now and I usually release my really highly edited videos on Fridays!
Habits form the actions we take every day. Action leads to success. But did you know that consistency leads to those habits! Consistency is truly powerful! Amazing content video!

Thanks for the vid - I hope to get blazing fast with editing too. Right now; 3-4 hours on edit at which point I stop, watch and make critical edits and publish. That way I am forced to stick to a deadline which I have made quite ambitious for myself and also learn how to be more efficient :)
The challenge for me is just to start 🙄. I know that I’ve been called to speak, teach and lead... which I currently do in my sphere of influence, however, I know that I “need” to start creating videos. Just don’t know how to even start (with excellence - not perfection).
This very similar content of speed art and thoughtful speech takes me at least 8-10 hours for just the editing alone... At least. So thank you Sean for the tips. I should start doing more hygiene videos and less fancy stuff I suppose...

I stay consistent by making at least 2 or 3 videos in a day. for instance, my channel is a beauty channel so I make sure I film a look, film how to edit a picture from the look I just created, how to do a particular routine in the actual video and sometimes I do playlists so in total I have 4 videos in one filming setup which will last me for a week and a half. I believe this will be a good thing for people with other jobs and school work as well.
Working on that consistency now! Just posted my 2nd video about real estate investing and looking forward to keeping it up once per week until I have more time to post more often.
Accepting that the video is never truly done is a good point. Hero and hygiene...hm I wonder how I could apply that to my content. I’m not sure, but it’s definitely food for thought. 🤔

We usually film 2-3 videos every time we shoot our camping / travel vlogs. Last weekend we cranked out like 4-5 videos worth on content. Definitely makes it easier to have some buffer for editing. And also have videos that don’t hardly take any editing will allow more time for the labor intensive ones !!

Time is the enemy! 2 Kids, full time work and trying to be a decent fiance as well. So i figured i should try a sound-proofed recording room so i don't wake up the family because the only time i have is when the family is sleeping. Which means the only way for me to try my luck on youtube is by cutting down on sleep. But i'm having so much fun doing it so it's worth it.
