Hey all, I just changed the motor mounts on my 91 and I found a way to change them out without messing with your suspension. First off, I had the engine out. Im sure it’s a lot harder to do with the engine still in lol. Anyway, you take a 10” extension, a 3” extension, a universal, the socket, and a ratchet, all 3/8” drive. You can fit all that up through the frame between the frame and lower control arm bushing. It does take a little maneuvering but once you get it on the backing nut, loosen the mounting bolts and bam. I changed mine in 15 minutes a piece. Hope this helps out!
Yep, easiest way. Then just use a box end wrench to hold the nut while you torque new bolts in, same applies to s-10, 2nd gen f body, gbody, and others.
Why would anyone do a motor mount replacement video when the engine is out?????? That's like saying here's a bag of air, let me show you how to breathe

Make a video lol
That's how we do at the shop.
“I hear it’s difficult” well bruh not when you got the engine out lmao
Pity GM didn't just weld those 3 nuts each side in the frame so they are permanently fixed, so you don't even need to get a socket on them.
Dumb question... What's OBS? Clearly, its not something I've worked on.😂
U all so can drill holes right at the bottom wear the screws go

Sounds like a good idea
would it be safe using threaded rivets?
Wait why would the coil spring pop out? Don’t you have all your castle nuts on still?
I don't remember but you might be right.but its always good to be safe.
If this is the easy way I’d hate to know the hard way🤣
What size is the nut on the other side?
