Thanks man! I couldn't justify the several hundred dollars it would cost to buy pre-made tubs. These were about $90 and they turned out pretty clean imo.
Very well put together, the small details make such a difference. How did you run your exhaust? I also have a Y pipe that connects to a 3 inch pipe but my y pipe needs to be reconfigured bc of my drop, but my transmission cooler lines are in the way. I wanted to get some ideas on how you ran yours. Would you have any pictures?
@ant-hu1gs thank you! Everything from the headers back was custom made after the truck was already lowered. Next time I have the truck in the shop on a lift snap a pic.
@dalevick5503 it's holding up great. The only way I see it breaking is if I launch the truck and it hooks. Right now I'm on a 225 all season tire with an open diff so it should be fine with my setup.
The LS platform is pretty standardized so if you can find mounts for that chassis, you can put any LS in it. In most swaps, you need to change the oil pan to a low profile one anyway, which is where most people have fitment problems.
@matthew5836 it's an H3R extinguisher in the bracket that comes with it. I bolted that to a piece of flat steel and bolted that to the inside of the cab.
Thanks! My harness was made by current performance. It was about $1,100 and was %95 percent plug and play. The wiring was all there, but I had to add connectors to the fans, the blower motor, and the speedo input.
It's made by evil energy from Amazon. I ended up drilling and tapping a brass 90 degree fitting into the top with a hose because it kept shooting a big mist of coolant out of the cap where they have a pressure relief hole.
I used an e pedal and tac module out of the same year truck as the engine. I'm using a pedal bracket from Likuid Kreations that made it direct bolt in.
Hey man, so whats the plan for wiring up the a/c to factory truck harness? Im about to do my ls swap on my 96 and was debating on on getting the brackets that relocate the alt to pass side and getting the bracket that keeps the ac in the stock location from the v6. And as for gauge cluster too, whats your work around for getting the factory gauges to work with rpm. I will be using an ace jackpot standalone and keeping the nv3500
Yup the transmission itself bolts right up, but you do need different transmission bolts to fit the LS block. Like crestflock commented, you also need a different flywheel, clutch, and throwout bearing.
@shugg0517 The engine came with a drive by wire throttle body so I used a pedal and tach module from a 2003 silverado. My truck never had cruise control unfortunately
Yeah it was definitely the most expensive part of the build by far. I paid 6 included the harness, a base program and VATS delete on my ecm, and I upgraded to braided loom. The only downside is they quoted my 2-3 month turn around and it ended up being about 6.
@ariesboy85 I used a Luk 04-205 Clutch set (4.8 clutch set), NFW1050 Flywheel, 614037 throwout bearing. I got all of the part numbers from Cool Cars KJ
Did you have to cut a hole in the inner fender and attach the neck on the end of the S10 air box to the fender or did you just cut the neck off to attach it flush to the inner fender?
I had to cut the bottom of the airbox off so it wouldn't hit the hood. I installed some rubber molding around the edges so it just sits on top of the inner fender. I was planning to make a bracket for it but honestly it hasn't moved at all since I installed it so I think it's fine how it is.
It's a pretty popular upgrade for these trucks to eliminate some of the mushy brake pedal feel. I can't say how much better that alone would feel since I deleted my abs at the same time, but the pedal feels a lot better than it did before.
Very clean work man, looks killer. Not enough people take the time to make the engine bay look good and you did, respect for that!
Clean. C10 inner fenders never crossed my mind. Inner fender covers are nice. 👌🏼
I appreciate it!

What is the benefit to the newer brake booster ?
It's a pretty popular mod on OBS trucks to get rid of some of the mushy pedal feel
Looking to swap my 2017 colorado. I wonder what would be the easiest LS engine to fit.
The LS platform is pretty standardized so if you can find mounts for that chassis, you can put any LS in it. In most swaps, you need to change the oil pan to a low profile one anyway, which is where most people have fitment problems.
What’s the name of that fire extinguisher set up?
@matthew5836 it's an H3R extinguisher in the bracket that comes with it. I bolted that to a piece of flat steel and bolted that to the inside of the cab.
What fuel system pump lines … you use??
My fuel fitting failed in the exact same place on my ls swapped 88 obs. Scared the shit out of me
I guess it's pretty common for that style of fitting. It definitely could have been bad so I'm glad I caught it.
Very clean build love the C10 inner fenders, who did your harness, how much did it cost and it is plug and play when you get it back?

Clean work! I’m also local in Arizona . How’d you wire the neutral safety switch from v6 harness to the new motor trans wiring
@jonnnykash2088 thanks! I'm not actually sure on the wiring for that. I had my harness made for me so that was already integrated into it
Ok sweet ! Where abouts did you get that done maybe you can refer me to get mines done !
@jonnnykash2088 I sent it to current performance in Florida

Did you use the 4.3 mounts?
V6 mounts don't fit the LS brackets, so you have to use V8 mounts. They bolt right in, so you don't need to modify anything.

@ariesboy85 it feels pretty similar to stock, but it doesn't catch as high, which is nice. It still feels like a truck clutch, though.

235/75/r15. They only rubbed when I hit a big bump, but since it's my daily driver it drove me crazy.
