Richard thank you for these videos. I saw you stopped posting about a year ago. I appreciate you taking the time to film these. I’m learning so much! 👊🏻
Nice details on the fronts, it makes a difference 👍🔨📐😄
Thanks !! I agree 👍
So pretty. Thanks for your video!
Appreciate it !
I love your videos and you do great work and have a humble attitude and a good sense of humor!
I’m just good enough to get by and just bad enough to keep me humble so it all balances out ! Really appreciate the kind words!! Planning to make some new vids soon!
Stunning cabinet!
Thanks !
love it. keep em comin
Your attention to detail is impeccable!
Appreciate it , I try to watch the details
Your work is second to none may God continue to bless you and your family. Bottom line
Love your content! I don’t build but love watching video. Maybe one day 😊. The one thing I can’t figure out is the decorative toe kick looks AMAZING, but what happens if the floor is not level where you install it? Wouldn’t there be a gap from shimming it? Thank you for the video!
love your work, fellow cabinet maker! Just a quick thought: If your cabinet is square and level, could you of made your cutlist for your doors to the size you needed to have all your desired reveals instead of sanding each door or drawer head to get your reveal? would this save you on time sanding on the belt sander since you like to find the quickest most efficient way of working.. :) I’m very greatful to have found your channel, and keep up the great work!
Nice Work…Hats off
Thank you !
Oh my goodness these are stunning and exactly what I am find or build once we do our home Reno in a few years. Love the traditional aspect of the beaded inset ( done right btw bravo👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻) but the modern twist of the slab doors. ***chefs kiss*** very well done!
Thank you !
Thought I seen clever ways to install draw fronts without specialty gadgets. This is by the far the best combination of the handful that are unique and efficient! Great thinking mate!
Thank you!
Really cool 👍👍
Thanks appreciate it
Another great video! Man I get stressed out just looking at how many cabinets you got in that shop.
Thanks ! Haha yea it can be quite overwhelming at times . All i can do is keep moving !
Love this video, the drawers closing is very satisfying to watch
Thank you! So glad to hear it . We even let our customers open and close the drawers as many times as they want !
@@cabinetwise wow. Such a good deal. I would limit them to 5 opens per customer 😂
Looking good!
Nice method for scribing the fronts.
Thank you! Really glad some part of it could be helpful
@@cabinetwise I look forward to seeing the video on drawer box construction that you mentioned!
Glad to hear it . They’re really simple to make .
i dont know why i never thought of scribing the doors, i always just use the jointer and check each door smh, thanks for the video.
Btw if you make a bigger hole for the screws you can adjust your drawers, thats why drawer screws have that large head on them.
Yea gets them really precise!
masterpiece
Great build. New to your channel. Thank you!
Thank you !
Ok, so rails and stiles are 1 1/4" and when you add the beading each 3/8" x 2 you get 2". But the top and bottom rails AND the far left and right stiles only have one side with beading. Do you make the 1 5/8" wide and add only one beading to them making them now 2". Any thought also on using Shaker drawer and door fronts with using the beading?
Yes your correct in those deductions !
Wow. Beautiful work! You’re a true craftsman. How do you limit the effects of wood growth or shrinkage over time? Also, where are you located.
Thanks ! Located in San Ramon California. We leave the tolerances as such to allow for that. Also ounce the finish is applied and it’s sealed there is less movement than there would be with raw wood.
I would like to see the beading bit cuts.
Fantastic work. I’m thinking about building a few inset vanities for my home and this helped. I have to admit, seeing you operate your tools without any safety equipment made me a little nervous. Be careful and keep up the great work!
Thank you ! And noted ! I do sometimes become too comfortable, good be very reminded ! 👊🏻
Good
I just found your channel and I appreciate the details you put into this project. Did you quit making videos altogether?
Hi , glad to hear it ! Well that’s a great question. It’s been a while but I do plan to start making vids again soon. Just went through a very difficult and busy period in life and business and there was just no time but I’ve been planning to start again soon! I do enjoy doing it
I want to ask why didnt you use a router to make the bead on he frame itself instead of gluing it on?
I do use a router to make the bead . Then I rip it to 3/8” . I make it as a seperate trim that is then applied to the openings. This way I can miter all the corners . Once the frame is assembled I can’t run the router into the corner and get that mitered look. I do know there’s another way to assemble these frames where you can pre run the bead in the frame parts before assembly but this is just how I learned and it works for me .
Excellent work and really nicely done video. Subbed for more!
Thank you !! New vid today
I have more than 25 years but I never sand doors. I make face frames and doors square.
It’s not for squareness . The issue I run into is what size do you make the door. I like them to be very tight . Some people make them 1/4” less than the opening but then you have 1/8” gaps , which I think are too big. So do you do 1/8” less and have 1/16 gaps ? That’s too tight . I guess you can do the math and make it 3/32 bigger on each side but when you’re making the door what if you sand it just a little too much when sanding the edges .
. I prefer to make them too tight and sand to fit for that reason. But I’m not saying it’s the right way it just produces a tight look for me .
Hi Mulder, I really enjoyed your video, you do good work. Listen could you please tell me the brand of undermount slides you used? I like that rear adjustment tab, never seen that before. Thanks again, and keep an eye on your human.
Will do ! They are Blum tandem slides
@@cabinetwise Thank you sir.
Any way of getting hinges sitting straight on panel rather than making fillers to take hinges
Yes you could flush out the wall on the sink compartment side rather than the drawer side , then you’d need filler block pieces for the slides , unless you did double wall.
While that's some gorgeous work, I would make a small request to use a push stick for those tiny pieces on the table saw. Don't want to not get anymore content from you because of a missing finger! :D
Definitely appreciated ! I’ve had others say the same . For sure I’ve gotten way too comfortable over the years and shouldn’t be showing off my bad habits . Also not a good example. Will do better !!
@@cabinetwise Thanks for considering it! In the end they're your fingers so you can do as you please, more of a pleading for my sanity as I'm watching them get that close :D Great work you're doing!!!
Definitely…Thank you !
Nice work but why is there no toe in spots
Thanks ! Below the sinks they wanted cutouts where they stand so they don’t kick it
that bead details make a big difference... its a shame a work of art like this would be painted.
Agreed !
What size is that belt sander?
It’s a 132” , and that’s a 4” wide belt
Build a European style cabinet to show the difference
Of Your face frame ??
The music makes this video unwatchable. The volume balance is way out.
Great feedback thank you !!
Where is video 1?
Its titled “you can make it “
