After being met with video after video of nonstop-talking cabinetmakers I finally find another channel that induces the calm that Ishitani also does. Thanks a lot for this, you are brilliant!
A serendipitous and timely discovery of this video: I'm making a near identical table (albeit to a much lower standard), you've taught me how to fix a dent from a dropped piece, and shown me how I should've fixed the stretchers to the 45° legs (half laps have been a nightmare). Thank you
I've been browsing for possible designs for my next 90cm x 200cm office desk for a while now, this might just be it! Thanks for sharing this great video.
Absolutely the essence of simplicity and function. This is a very beautiful piece. Love your work. Thanks you for the video. I need to get back to making these kinds of pieces myself.
I love the concept of the video. No talk, your actions tell more than you could ever say with this gorgeous build. This is very inspiring, I hope to be able to build something like this one day ❤
Favourite build in a long time, and great music tool. While YT is filling up with black walnut, resin and pallet wood, its great to see this type of build. You have a new subscriber.
Beautiful design and excellent craftsmanship. I should really come see your shop ones day. Haley keeps telling me about your fantastic craftsmanship. And your not that far from me.
Excellent craftsmanship, very handsome results and classical music along with shop equipment sounds..who could ask for more? After subscribing now, can't wait for the next video treat! Thanks for sharing
Simple design: You make it look easy. You obviously have great skills. Thank you for sharing. I've watched you before, so I have subscribed to your channel
I see you’re somewhat new or new’ish to youtube. You made a beautiful table HOWEVER you screwed-up, this video was so good all now its all I want to watch :-)
Outstanding craftsmanship! And a fantastic video with all the steps - I watched it more than once. Question for you, since I hope to build my own table next spring: is there any wobble to the table? There are no cross braces, so I'm wondering if it wiggles, even slightly... ?
No - I ended up attaching angle blocks on each end of the corner angle support and squeezed it tight. However, I used a card as a spacer so the legs are a snug fit but still able to slide in and out when removing the legs.
Nice video. Beginner question, why do you run the narrow faces through the planer instead of ripping on the table saw? Better finish off of the machine?
Curious as to why you didn't tie the aprons to the legs in addition to the inner brace. Seems like it'd be quite fragile at the moment, relatively speaking. I feel some dominos would have been relatively trivial. Also wondering why you used pocket holes for that center brace when, you also could have used a domino. Genuine questions. Just want to learn if there's a technical reason for it, or if it's just preference?
Having removable legs makes transport the table easier and can be just as sturdy if done properly. I think the reason I used pocket holes because I already glued in the corner angles. Regarding strength wise the pocket holes are more than adequate for the function they serve of holding the apron to the table top.
Where in Canada are you? BC here. Great video. Couple things I would have done different, but that's youtube woodworking for ya! Everyone has an opinion/idea lol. Subscribed.
Nothing brings more pеаce to my soul than listening to piano music mixed with circular saw noise. Wonderful work!
My sentiment exactly!

I love it when the algorithm gets it right. Which is rare. Still I am grateful. Love your work brother.
Appreciate that! I'm glad you're enjoying the content.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words!
And beautiful music, I also joined the club! Keep up the good work!

Many thanks to a fellow Albertan!
Beautiful table! Meditative to watch you work, so glad that again no head banger music. Love the new inflatable spray booth/ bouncy house!

That’s very kind of you to say! I’d love to show you around!
I like the Festool Trac saw miter cut along the underside of your table top. I’m stealing that idea for my next table. Cheers 🍻
I stole it from someone too! 😁
You did an amazing job on the table. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Fantastic. Had to watch twice. So relaxing I nodded off the first time. Subscribed. 👍

Glad you enjoyed it! Just keep challenging yourself and before you know it you’ll be building those dream projects too.
The fit on those legs was so satisfying.
Yeah, I had a folded piece of paper to help that fit!
Hola, que mesa mas sencilla, elegante y robusta. Gracias por compartir tu trabajo. Muy bonito tu taller. Saludos de Lima, Perú.

You are welcome! Greetings from Canada!
Really nice work
I appreciate the feedback!
Merci beaucoup pour la vidéo
You’re welcome!
Let’s hear it for the machine tools. 👏 👏 👏
Glad you love it!
I think you missed my point. Yes, a lovely end product…but seems to me the machine tools did everything except design the table, and spread the glue.
Love it. Now I just need to buy a joiner, a planer, a drill press, a better miter saw, and find a space big enough to hold them all, lol.
Thanks for the comment, we all start somewhere!
Or just buy the table. 😉 great work.
You don't need them, they just make the job easier. Go for it!
No mortise and tenon, no serious joinery. Just bolts and biscuits.
This is how factories build tables. You used nice wood though.
Gorgeous!
Many thanks 😊
Splendid !
Very very nice 👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Dat's a goood table der, ya shure, you betcha.
Thanks 😊
Very nice build.

Excellent! Thanks.

bravo, hassas içşilik...
Thank you
It’s almost sacrilege to have such badassery in craftsmanship sitting on LVP flooring.
You will be relieved to know that’s just my showroom so you can image it ends up on hardwood floors!
@taitlinstudio ❤️

noice table mate
Thanks 😊

For my set up yes 👍🏼
Nice table. When you flatten the wood panels, you have to push down at the rear, already flattened part of the wood ;)
Thanks for the tip

Olá que belo trabalho o video ficou muito bom meus parabéns o ruin é essa música triste. no video
Thanks for the feedback! Often sad and relaxing piano can sound similar, at least to my untrained ears!
What kind of hardware/bolts did you use on the legs?
Nevermind 😅
👌👌
Glad you enjoyed it.
5:15 how long does it take to cut a board? Jeez
Apparently too long, time for a blade change.
It took you longer to write down your insipid coment 😂😂😂
Что за материал используется?
Maple
❤🎉❤🎉👍👍
Thank you!
And here I am adjusting my planer by hand like and idiot!
We've all been there! This has been a recent upgrade and it a very welcome luxury.
If the woodworking thing doesn't workout, you could DJ nursing homes hospice parties..
sorry. nice table
Haha - Most unexpected comment, gave me a chuckle. 🤭
Цікава ідея
How so?
Thats not scandinavian, it is a "schweizer Kante" style table. SWISS
Thanks for the heads up!
@@taitlinstudio sorry for that cold comment. you have build a very nice table, exellent craftsmanship 👍
I would not recommend to buy such a table
Every piece is made with a vision, and while it might not match yours, it’s clearly resonating with many others. That’s the magic of craftsmanship!
