Thanks for the tutorial mate. To get the faction variable name, if you just go down a bit further on the list under “log”, there is an option “log faction name to clipboard” I’ve found that much quicker!

I know this was a year ago but I have a question about persistence. We have been trying to setup a mp mission and hoping to make it persistent so we can keep playing mission instead of starting over each time we play. Is there anything on the ALiVe modules that would help with it? if not, do you know or anyone know of anything that would help. Thanks! Love your videos
This tutorial is completely different from how I've always set my missions up, specifically I always learned to use multiple TAOR markers to set up zones, but I had no idea you could play without using them. Also I'm going to assume the lack of blufor Military AI Commander is because your example mission is meant specifically for PVE without friendly ai groups roaming about? I always thought two were needed for the sake of objectives being constantly fought over.
Yes, by not using TOAR markers and not placing a military AI commander for BLUFOR, it's only for actual players to do the work. I found that sometimes the BLUFOR spawns when used, tend to be a little janky and occasionally the BLUFOR spawn and do nothing anyway. Might be ok for single player stuff, but we'd prefer to do all the stuff ourselves as a group.
Dude I’ve been trying to figure this out for like three days now. No matter how I search on google or UA-cam I get no information on it. So frustrating. I wish someone would just explain it already.
In the editor, there is a section just like the units and compositions and systems section called "markers" it has a logo of a circle with an X inside it, its the last one in the tab, or you could press f6 and it would switch to the markers tab, when in the markers tab, choose the areas one where its a circle and a rectangle next to eachother, then choose whatever one you wish, adjust its size and name it so you can blacklist accordingly.

Does Alive support multiple AI Commanders? I am looking for a singleplayer combined arms experience with AI friendlies (I like to fly CAS for ground units so if this is possible even better). I am assuming you would need to have two Military AI Commander modules? If you were to add it to be example in this video, could you get friendlies to spawn inside the base, and will they go out and take objectives on their own?

Unfortunately my game isn't recognizing the takistani troops or the rhsusaf even though I have those and many more installed. I've gotten this to work but only with vanilla arma troops. Have you ever had that issue?

Hey mate. Your video made me look into Arma 3 Alive again. Question about the Australian Units you are using. What mod are they? I'm using Project Uncut and I seem to be having trouble using them for Alive.
@@johnk5165 Project uncut is quite old and doesn't work very well. Hasn't been updated in years. For the units I use search Aus Mas in workshop. We also use 3CB Factions, which has nice LAV 25s with Australian skins.
@@OnlineCombatBN Aus Mas doesnt come up with anything specific. Could you provide more detail? Also can anyone reccomend a mod that drops in or provides universla rearming? ie- nomatter what my Huneter 6 squad is armed with it will automatically rearm them appropriatly do you catch my drift?
Hey mate, thanks a lot for your video, but recently I run into the same problem every time, I’m doing a scale war between nato and Russ in chernarus, but every time the standard opfor unit (2035) spawns in the map causing trouble, and slowly getting annoyed cause it ends up screwing the game. And every time i try to change it, it messes it up more and more where units just spawns randomly. Someone knows where my mistake is?
@@stefankeller7176 some maps are not indexed by the ALiVE mod. Perhaps ask the ALiVE devs if Cherno winter is one of those, but I'm sure it does work with ALiVE.
@@OnlineCombatBN will ask them, i also think it supports it because other people did alive with chernarus map same as tarkistan (all maps downloaded are from the same mod, i think cup) but i think i might be missing something but i even used the same template that was used for takistan inshallah

The scenario is taking recruits from the local population, but in reality, it is spawning them on the map in locations were insurgents are operating.

@@lordreal6141 follow the tutorial, place all the modules listed, configure as per the tutorial and it will work.
Would the alive mod work with one of the RTS mods where I could just control my own units and gain performance from the alive mod?

if you AI in your group, how to get them to rearm after a few missions?

I never got the Spyder module Detection to work, I saw it was in your mission but I couldn't find the part you explained it.
It was placed but not working
I have a problem. I play on north takistan and followed all steps.The enemys just dont spawn only ieds spawn.You know what the problem is ?
Maybe that map is not yet indexed by the ALiVE mod.

When you try to run warlords on your dedicated server what happens? Does the mission not start? Does the server crash?
